Great course. I played here last week. Completely surprised at how nice the greens were. Fairways and tee boxes are very well maintained. Great customer service. I'm going back today!

I can't review the course itself but my daughter's wedding reception was held here in October. If you are looking for a reasonably priced, scenic venue then this might be your place. It's located on a high point in Middletown overlooking the Susquehanna River. Three Mile Island and the airport are right nearby (and this worried me a bit) but they don't distract from the beautiful view. The outside deck is gorgeous, unfortunately we had a cold day so couldn't enjoy it as much as we had hoped. But I can imagine it would be a perfect spot for a wedding ceremony (or just a great party) in good weather. The buffet style meal was very tasty, no complaints there, and again the price was quite reasonable. Unfortunately there are a couple of reasons I can't give it 5 stars. There were only 2 serve staff on site for our 80 guests. One tending bar and the other apparently doing everything else. So things didn't get done quite as fast as I would've liked. The other thing that bothered me was the huge stains on the carpet (however when I said something to my mom she hadn't noticed). That being said, in the end it worked out very well and I think everyone had a really good time. I feel like this venue is just a little rough around the edges but has great potential!

Very friendly to Beginners like myself (I don't lose nearly as many balls for mis-hits here). Wide open fairways and the greens are well above-average when not being aerated. I Golf here 2-3 times a month. Great Value too...There packages and pricing are super-fair.

I grew up watching legends like Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus on TV with my grandpop. Having already worked with two different instructors as an adult, I was really just looking for a refresher to get back on track. I decided to try Dolphin Highlands Golf Course. Unfortunately, I missed my first appointment, but the staff was great about it and gave me some free range balls to make up for it. However, the environment was a bit distracting--it was hard to understand how people focus there with planes from the Middletown Airport flying overhead the entire time. When I finally made it to my second lesson, I met my coach 1-on-1. Tim is highly knowledgeable, clearly knows his stuff, and has been in the game for a long time. That said, during our session, he focused heavily on how PGA legends hit the ball, constantly referencing players like Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, and Arnold Palmer. Personally, I prefer a coach who assesses my natural swing and makes minor adjustments from there, rather than trying to completely restructure my form to copy someone else. After all, I am unique--complete with a beautiful face and bronze skin! I believe in playing my own way. Honestly, people should try hitting the way I do, because I can drive the ball incredibly far, especially for an amateur. While I still recommend him as a coach because of his expertise, he just wasn't the right fit for my personal goals. Everyone is different, and that's the beauty of being human; we all have the freedom to grow and make our own choices here in the US. I hope this review helps you decide if Dolphin Highlands is the right spot for you!

The venue was beautifully decorated for the holiday season and had a tasty cocktail/happy hour with a fantastic bartender and appetizers. We had a sit down meal that consisted of salad, your choice of entree (steak, haddock or tortellini) and a dessert bar with coffee that satisfied every taste. Staff were very friendly and helpful but with such a large event they seemed a little overwhelmed or could've used another person or two. We had to flag them down for water refills and eventually just went to the bartender for refills. Parking was a bit strange as you had to park on the side of the road or in a small lot that wasn't very well lit. This was around 6pm when its pretty dark and back a windy country road. Once that parking lot filled up there was a larger lot a bit back but again it was so dark and not well let we weren't sure if if was the right one or not.

Well, fret no more. The answer is quite simple. Take them to the Mother's Day Brunch at The Lodge at Liberty Forge. Behold the splendor which awaits you: *Tepid water as your free beverage. In fairness, coffee was available. *As an upcharge I ordered 3 raspberry iced teas. It was unsweetened, lacking raspberry flavoring with a strong chemical taste. Not drinkable. * I would have had Manhattan clam chowder. The container was so low the soup could not be cradled. * Chafing dishes which were all open resulting in the food not being warm. Case in point-- French toast with an unmelted pat of butter on each piece. Where is the maple syrup? You'll find it at the carving station which makes no sense. *Carving station--occasionally staffed. Otherwise, you were treated to irregular cut slices which again were cold from not being under a heat source. Au jus, as with everything else, was not hot and flavorless. *Carolina Fritta--I like my eggs, potatoes, and Smoked Cheddar Cheese not to be room temperature. The Mother's Day Buffet is egregious. Save your money unless your goal is punishment. After leaving this wonderful buffet I fulfilled my hunger at Burger King-- 2 Whopper Jr's for $5.00. Now that's pleasurable! Jack B.
