I especially want to recognize Christiana, the manager. She has been so thoughtful, caring, and always smiling. You can tell she takes pride in her team and knows exactly how to run a front desk with excellence. Everyone is always professional, welcoming, and put together, and that reflects great leadership. She deserves an award for all of her hard work and dedication because she truly makes guests feel valued and comfortable. Jadah is another standout. She is always smiling no matter what and has such positive energy. She's constantly recommending fun places in the area and gets excited talking about local events and things to do. She makes guests feel welcomed immediately and brings such a fun and uplifting atmosphere to the hotel. Keren went above and beyond for me and my two kids during a minor inconvenience I experienced. Not only did she help immediately with kindness and patience, but she also checked on us the next day to make sure we were okay. That level of compassion and hospitality meant so much to me. Alicia has also been incredibly helpful anytime I've needed assistance or maintenance support. The housekeeping staff deserves recognition too. I don't know all of their names, but they work so hard. They are kind, respectful, constantly cleaning, and always making sure everything feels fresh, safe, and comfortable for guests. Maintenance staff Julio and Will were both very nice and quick to help whenever needed. Jason is super cool, Jeff is very kind, and Alfonso is quiet but always smiling and helpful whenever he's around. Gina from the bar are wonderful as well friendly, attentive, and always creating a welcoming environment. The bartending and kitchen staff overall have been excellent throughout my stay. This hotel truly stands out because of the people. There may be many hotels nearby, but the kindness, professionalism, teamwork, and hospitality here make this place special. On the day of my reservation I received both email and text instructions on how to access the room. I was in the South building in the Rae room. This room was up the steep stairs. The room itself was small and quaint. There were a couple of hooks to hang clothes. They had a tv, keurig, and mini fridge. The bathroom was located across the hall. The pillows were a little uncomfortable. Definitely recommend this non-chain hotel for a different type of vibe.

Parking: They have a very small private lot that can fit one car per room. In the rare event you can't find parking, the hotel manager can help find you a new spot. Check in and check out: This hotel doesn't have a traditional front desk. Instead you will get a code for your door and the main door of the hotel building that you're in. Each room is so different and definitely find their website to see the difference between them all. While this place doesn't have a front desk and doesn't do daily turn down service, everything you need is just a text away. I truly loved the peace and quiet nature of this hotel. Only downside is since this hotel is an old house, it means that the air conditioning and heating is for the whole building vs the individual rooms. So if one room wants it hotter, everyone gets it hotter. Overall I loved this hotel. It's half a block from downtown Plainfield and walkable to so many wonderful restaurants and stores.

The furniture was clean and updated and in great condition. The staff was helpful and very professional. There were a couple of minor discrepancies with the room but these were easy fixes and just routine maintenance. The stay was very relaxing and refreshing. Bed was also great. We enjoyed the hot breakfast in the morning with eggs, bacon and potatoes. There is also a large selection of juices and hot coffee . If you want snacks or minor medications there is a kiosk and you can charge to the room. There is also overflow parking if you have a large vehicle or trailer. Several of us dropped our wife off and used the back parking lot which was also well lit.

When I complain, the staff either says they don't know what it is OR they act like it is a new complaint and say they will call Maintenance. It is a mixture between putrid towels and old wet diapers. I complained several times, but it doesn't seem like it is something that management cares or knows how to resolve. I was amazed to see in the morning that people were eating food from the same area that was rancid. I will be staying elsewhere on my future trips.
