Though it would've been nice to have had a view of the Green, the quiet midweek view of Main St was nice. The room was west-facing, so the sun shone in during the afternoons. No matter the setting, the a/c never quite got the room cool; it was a bit warm during the overnight, even after removing the unnecessary blanket from the bed. A few minor housekeeping issues in the room were quickly taken of after a quick call to reception, though turndown wasn't offered until the final night (didn't realize it was even available -- be sure to ask if that's important to you)! The slippers were nice and plush, and bathrobes (didn't use, see temperature note, above) were also available. There was a convenient bedside iHome wireless charger/digital alarm clock; unfortunately, it failed to charge my phone one night. Coffee was available in the lobby hallway every morning, and in the afternoon/evening, cookies!. A Lavazza pod coffeemaker was in the room along with a couple of tea bags as well, but no kettle. The onsite Pine Restaurant was quite popular. Note that folks eat early here; the restaurant was quiet by 8:30 pm (maybe also because it was midweek in summer). The bar area was quite spacious, though, and outdoor seating was available. Easy walk through town, to the Co-op (there was a small drawer refrigerator in the room), for retail shopping, and visiting the Dartmouth College campus (don't miss the Hood Art Museum, open Wed-Sat). Some restaurants in Hanover were also closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and mobile phone service was sparse in town. The free Advance Transit bus service made for easy visits to the King Arthur Bakery & Cafe and for a talk at the Lebanon Opera House.

They also seem to do wedding as well as we can see the venue on the back side of the building. The place has long history and they even have a pamphlet that traces the history of the place back to 1800s. It's located near a pond and as you go in the premise there are gravel parking lots on the left. Once we parked we went inside to check in. The staff helped us check in and gave us our keys. Once we got the key we went to find our room. Noticed that it's definitely an older building as keys are regular key and a door knob which we don't see many at hotels nowadays. The lock for our room was bit tricky and i had to finagle it to open. Once open inside was a small room with queen bed, a mini fridge, tv, some light, bathroom and a closet. They also do have the old school ac unit. Inside seems to be relatively clean but does have that worn rustic old looks as its a historic buildings. One of the light was also not turning on quite so once again i had to finagle it to make it work. The facility also has diner and lounge area which is small and has that rustic look. They offer dinner and breakfast. Breakfast does come with the stay. We went to breakfast in the morning which was buffet style. Typical coffee, egg, sausage, bacon, home fries, blueberry pancake, cereals, yogurt, and some pastries and breads. The breakfast was ok. Service overall was good. Everyone was nice and helpful. Overall its a nice place to stay if you want to explore the quechee area and like that old farm rustic vibe.

We booked this resort through timeshare and had called separately to add 2 days to our trip (Friday…read moreand Saturday) months before our February ski trip. When we got here, they told me they only had me for Saturday! I was NOT a happy camper! Apparently despite they took my money months ago and sent a booking confirmation of the correct date, someone changed in the system a week before my travel date and removed my reservation for Friday night. Luckily they were able to find another room to accommodate us, but annoyed that we literally will have to check out the next day and move into our booked room. They can't even move our stuff for us because they are so understaffed, so we literally had to checkout in the morning, put our stuff back in our car and check-in at 4 pm. Ugh, rant over! Ok, so about the rooms (since I had the pleasure of staying in 2 separate units). Nothing flashy or spectacular about this place but they do have all of the essentials and the rooms are clean and well-kept. The beds are surprisingly comfortable but not so much of the pullout couch. The queen suit 1 BR had a full kitchen, 1 Bathroom (access in the bedroom which is poorly designed since you have to walk through the bedroom to get in), 1 queen bed in the bedroom, and a pullout couch in the living room. For the other suit (we stayed at room 214/216), it's a 1 BR with 2 Bath, much bigger but only has a kitchenette. This was much better setup and had space in the entryway for ski/snowboard equipment. The unit seem to had new carpeting and has a nice view of the mountain and stream. Amenities-wise, they have a outdoor heated pool which opened 3-9 pm in the winter, a laundry room ($2 quarters for 1 load - same building as the office), a library room with books, limited DVD, coffee & tea and small workout gym (downstairs from office). Location-wise, it's at the end of Rt 4, intersection with Rt 100. There's a BBQ restaurant and bar across the street as well as a gas station. For skiers/boarders, it's about 15 min drive to Killington Ramshead lodge. If you have loaded pass, you can take the Skyship gondola to the mountain much closer (5 min drive) to Bear Mountain. Overall we are happy with this place despite the reservation mixed-up. Timeshare resorts are slim picking for ski mountains so will definitely stay here again.

My only qualm is that this is a very old house and you can hear EVERYTHING from the other rooms which was very unpleasant especially if you are in a downstairs room. Floors creaking, beds squeaking, music, conversations, etc. I would recommend bringing headphones and not coming here with children unless you can rent all the rooms for your group or you might have some explaining to do in regards to the sounds coming from other rooms... This is my first BnB experience so maybe this is the norm but I was not prepared for it. As far as I can tell there aren't any enforced quiet hours here. Shampoo/conditioner provided - no body soap. Hairdryer, iron, and hangers available in room. Extra blankets in room. Fridge available for guest storage. Ability to use microwave in kitchen. Parking lot in the back, parking included in stay. We ended up reserving the only room which does not have an en suite bathroom for $100/night, which includes a very tasty continental breakfast. (The bathroom for the Monk room where we stayed is just across the hallway.) The breakfast included delicious spiced oatmeal with a variety of add-ons (walnuts, chopped apples, honey, real maple syrup). Also available were hard boiled eggs, great coffee, a variety of teas, excellent bread and jams, bananas, apples, oranges, homemade pumpkin bread, Greek yogurt, granola. I peeked into a couple of the other rooms which were not currently rented and they all seem to be spacious and nicely decorated. Right now I am hanging out in the comfy shared living room space after wearing myself out XC skiing at the Woodstock Nordic Center this morning - only about a mile away. A variety of restaurants are within walking distance. And a bonus for us: There is an EV charger about a 2 minute walk away.
