A convenient and affordable location if you are going to VA, hanover, dhmc and other near vicinity. They serve light breakfast. Although the rooms are old it is understandable for its price, it is clean compared to other super 8's. They have microwave and fridge. There is a business center. They complimentary have soap and shampoo which is a plus. The coffee area is also clean. Images are taken before we checkout

Very dated and in dire need of repair and competent cleaning staff. Frankly I'm surprised that Wyndham puts their name on this hotel as the reputation Wyndham has did NOT match up to the experience I had. The first room we checked into was NOT clean, trash had not been taken out, gooey stuff on tables/countertops, urine on toilet seat....the second room appeared cleaner but was in disrepair. Door missing on bathroom, casings mangled, front door does not lock, wall paper coming down...I guess I should have done more homework before making a reservation here. On a positive note; the front desk person was pleasant, the water pressure in the shower was sufficient and hot and the towels were soft and fluffy. That's about all the positives I can talk about. I guess you cannot expect much for $89 now a days

    Bathroom door fully 'closed.'

This place is terrible. We had to stuff towels in the entry door to keep the bugs out. The bathroom door did not close, nor was there any running water in the shower. The only window was barely hanging in the casing and had old tape on it. The corners and ceilings had cobwebs and mold. Certainly not worth what was charged.

Cigarette burn on our bed spread, non smoking hotel? I wonder.

Hotels in Vermont have been non smoking for a long time but every area and our room smelled like smoke. The laundry area, the front desk, everywhere smelled of smoke. Even our bed spread had a cigarette burn in it. The carpet was worn and dirty, the toliet smelled as if it was never sanitized and we never felt clean the night we stayed there. Low price lodging actually comes with a different price.

Dirty washcloth left on shower curtain rod

Rude receptionist + dirty room = unpleasant experience. Upon arrival, one receptionist welcomed me and immediately asked if I had a reservation. I responded, "Yes, I just made it online," to which the receptionist Prudy felt the need to huff and chime in, "Then you don't have a reservation because we're sold out online." (I had made the reservation online within the previous hour, gone to the store, then checked-in.) Miss Karen quickly found my name/reservation; she was delightful and the only positive part about my stay. Arriving in my room, I found a dirty washcloth still hanging from the curtain rod, filthy counters, crumbs (or at least I think they're crumbs) in one bed, and a disgusting carpet I refuse to walk on barefooted. I understand it's the weekend before 4th of July, but that's no excuse for unprofessional, condescending staff or improperly cleaned rooms. Staying in room 26 of this hotel was the worst Super 8 visit I've experienced.

Mini square pillows? Can't even get a regular pillow?

As a huge Hampton fan, I booked online immediately and within an hour, was checking into my spacious and clean room. From top to bottom, this hotel is well run. It was sold out the second night we were there but it was still running smoothly. Parking lot, lobby, halls, etc were all spotless. Staff was available at all times. Everything was so well maintained...nothing broken or anything like that. My room was spotless not to mention quiet and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was very civilized (if you stay at Hamptons, you know that some of the guests behave like they've never had a free breakfast before, lol) and there was a large selection of healthy options (fruit, yogurt, oatmeal) as well as the mandatory waffle station. I had a pumpkin spice waffle which was great! After leaving the prior hotel we'd been staying at 9:00 pm, anything would have been better but this place took it to the next level. We got room 200 on the second floor and it was really clean, comfortable, and seemed well kept. The staff at the desk were super friendly and helpful, which made checking in easy. I used the laundry room during the stay -- it worked fine, but I wish the machines took cards instead of quarters (would make things easier). Breakfast in the morning was great with lots of options and everything looked fresh. I've stayed at quite a few Hampton Inns, but this one stood out a bit more. Clean rooms, nice staff, and a solid breakfast -- would definitely come back.

Pay the extra money to stay elsewhere when visiting White River Junction. Let's break it down: Rooms: - The dump hasn't been updated in 15+ years. Paint is chipping everywhere, cabinets are falling apart, doors don't properly close. - Everything looks and feels like it is covered in a decade's worth of human dirt and grime. - As you can see from the pictures, the room upon check in was filthy. Walls covered in some brown substance, uncleaned body hair in the bathtub. I wanted to vomit. Staff: - They must only hire local high school kids who hate their life. No one over the age of 20 was working the entire time we were there. And if you think a 17 year old knows how to take care of guests...well...sorry to burst your bubble, but the girl at check in literally was on Tik Tok on her phone while checking me in to my room. - Toilet was clogged (not by us, it was like this upon arrival). We called for a fix before we left for dinner. We returned an hour later to...a clogged toilet. Other guests: - It's a rough crowd. Not people you'd want your kids to be around.

Mind you, yes, it was -20° when we were up here (unplanned of course) due to bomb cyclone weather. Anyhow, I'm so glad my trusty Honda Element Box Baby survived in this brutal freeze, she is a Cali girl after all. The staff were very friendly and welcoming at check in. The lobby and coffee/breakfast buffet bar area is inviting and modern. They had a HH from 5-6:30p with wine, beers and pita chips snacks. Round the clock hot coffee was much appreciated, especially during this crazy winter. Amenities: Pet Friendly: This is always the determination of any nearby destination. Our 18 year old chihuahua mutt needs to be able to tag along with us. Super pet friendly here. Pool: Though I brought my bathing suit, I was too tired after sightseeing to take a dip. It's a small pool, I'm sure kids love it. Gym: Small, but does the trick. Few treadmills, cycling areas, bosu balls, no stretching area. Also, there are no wipes. They do provide workout towels, yoga mats and there is a water station for hydration. Breakfast: Pretty decent but you will get the instant stuff. They have a bagel and English muffin station with cereals and milk. The days we were here, they had hard boiled eggs if you don't want the instant scramble eggs. Sausage links were good, the sausage patties weren't heated all the way through so it was still a bit frozen and inedible. There were hot cakes that were good. Don't expect brunch style options, typical hotel breakfast staples. Does the trick and there are plenty of healthy options too such as fruit and Greek yogurt Rooms: Very cute and modern. Each room had a kitchenette which is so convenient. The nightstands have USB chargers, the heat was great! We blasted that thing and made the cold much more bearable. The showers have good water pressure. I'm so glad this place launders and changes the sheets per guest! I could always tell when sheets and pillow cases have been laundered and when they haven't, so yay for cleanliness. My sole complaint here is that you can hear everyone next door and in the hallways. So, I can definitely tell you the parents next door to us were not getting any sleep at 3am from their crying toddler who was stomping around cause I wasn't getting any sleep either! If you forgo housekeeping service, you can get 250 points added or $5 credit to use at the convenience store downstairs. Pretty awesome since we don't generally use housekeeping when we travel. Great driving distance to lots of restaurants. 5 mins to Jesse's Tavern, 15 mins to King Arthur Flour and Dartmouth Campus. Quechee Park and mall are about 20 mins drive. Beautiful areas around with lots of handmade cheeses, jams, soaps and VT maple syrup to purchase for home. Amazing slopes too. Snowboard trip when the weather is much more bearable.

Upon entrance, one can appreciate the expansive windows and the modern lobby. The servicemen were friendly. Although the room was by no means fancy, the clean modern decor along with the presence of a functional kitchen (which we honestly did not test) was more than sufficient. Similarly, the bathroom and beds were equally equipped and functional. Actually, the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The exercise facilities were nice. Small but functional, the gym has more than a handful of dedicated weight training machines to say that it's just basic, along with a full rack of weights (up to the standard 50-pound pair). There are a pair of all 3 major cardio machines (treadmill, recumbent bike, and elliptical). With a water cooler and disposable earbuds, I don't see how too many people could be unhappy with the layout. I wish I had the time to check out the pool, which also looked inviting. The best part was the breakfast. Although unassuming by a cursory glance, a detailed look reveals that the choices are all incredibly excellent. Not only did it have all the essential elements of a healthy breakfast, with a variety of yogurt and nutritious drinks, it also has ingredients for those who savor the hearty. I think I had not one, not two, but three helpings of the sausage scramble. This had to be the best breakfast I have had in a long, long time. The presence of this hotel adds incredible value to the community. No wonder it commands top dollar at the demanding days for local graduations. I will definitely want to be back here when I visit this area again.

Not in an overly formal and obsequious way -- they're not hotel robots -- but in a natural, human way. The beds are really springy. Boing Boing! You can tell where they decided not to spend a fortune having an electrician pipe wires through their antique moldings, and instead discreetly ran the wires on the outside of the walls. The bathroom felt like it was last updated in 1950. The wide, wood-floor hallways have obvious dips and rolls in the antique wood planking. But it was clean. The price was right. A few minor housekeeping issues in the room were quickly taken of after a quick call to reception, though turndown wasn't offered until the final night (didn't realize it was even available -- be sure to ask if that's important to you)! The bar area was quite spacious, though, and outdoor seating was available.
