unbelievably filthy. the lights were not plugged in, nor the mini fridge nor microwave. even when plugged back in, they stopped working. the lamp shades were torn and crooked. one lamp not working at all. but the worst offense with the bathroom: the floor lino was torn, lifted up with cheap discolored old adhesive a nasty dirty brown. the floor was dirty nasty black bits in all the corners. the plastic bathtub had burn marks on it, the tub faucet crusty and looked unwashed definitely having been not wiped down in ages. but the highest offense was the ceiling over the shower, covered with cobwebs and cracked peeling falling paint. it had been a treat for my brother who was so offended it became a joke quickly passed onto his wife while unabashedly shaming me in my ignorance for booking such a loathsome place. complete disappointment and embarrassment. all for the bargain price of almost $240.00! read more

I think prison cells are cleaner than these rooms, im not sure which part was worse, the black mold or the blood on the wall. I couldn't use the shower because of the mold and mildew and the bathroom floor separating from the tub. read more

This place was disgusting and I would give the staff a 5 and the breakfast. The bathroom was gross, the floor with visible dirt on the floor, mold and dirty. The carpet had not been vacuumed with clear evidence on the floor. We checked for bed bugs and the mattress seemed new but I couldn't sleep after seeing so much dirt everywhere. A convenient and affordable location if you are going to VA, hanover, dhmc and other near vicinity. They serve light breakfast. Although the rooms are old it is understandable for its price, it is clean compared to other super 8's. They have microwave and fridge. There is a business center. I can't believe that Wyndham allows this motel to use their name. This place is decades past due for a complete renovation. Our room had old, stained, torn carpet. The transition from carpet to vinyl in the bathroom was black tape. And speaking of vinyl, the bathroom floor looked like it was the original from when the place was built (1960's?). Room was clean enough, comfortable enough. Adequate is a good term. Check in person was very nice, very helpful. Hotel is being used to house many questionable people. Got dinner early, got in my room all locked up, stayed until after daybreak. The big party out back did not get rowdy, at least. Very dated and in dire need of repair and competent cleaning staff. Frankly I'm surprised that Wyndham puts their name on this hotel as the reputation Wyndham has did NOT match up to the experience I had. The first room we checked into was NOT clean, trash had not been taken out, gooey stuff on tables/countertops, urine on toilet seat....the second room appeared cleaner but was in disrepair. Door missing on bathroom, casings mangled, front door does not lock, wall paper coming down...I guess I should have done more homework before making a reservation here. On a positive note; the front desk person was pleasant, the water pressure in the shower was sufficient and hot and the towels were soft and fluffy. That's about all the positives I can talk about. This place is terrible. We had to stuff towels in the entry door to keep the bugs out. The bathroom door did not close, nor was there any running water in the shower. The only window was barely hanging in the casing and had old tape on it. The corners and ceilings had cobwebs and mold. Certainly not worth what was charged. read more

Eleven days in eleven cities in New England and this was the worst hotel we had. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and clean. The room was pretty clean. But everything about this hotel is old and worn. The decor and fixtures are decades old. I would guess 1980. While the rooms were pretty clean (to the extent possible with shabby old fixtures, cracked grout, etc.), the hallways and common areas were grimy. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone unless there is nothing else available in the area. The only thing going for them here are some of the nice employees. It's fairly quiet here except on weekends when the drunks come in. The manager and the management are the worse here. They discriminate against families of Veterans and their friends. For the super cheap rate, not bad. We were looking for a cheap room for an overnight at Killington. It is approximately 30-40 minutes from Killington. Online it said 24 miles but the way we went it was closer to 30 miles. For my husband and me, it was ok. I would not have wanted to stay here with our kids. I would have been paranoid about them touching things and coming in contact with the floors, bedding, etc...more than necessary. I definitely felt the need to keep my shoes on. The room was clean but could just use some updating and a face lift. The staff was friendly. Hotels in Vermont have been non smoking for a long time but every area and our room smelled like smoke. The laundry area, the front desk, everywhere smelled of smoke. Even our bed spread had a cigarette burn in it. The carpet was worn and dirty, the toliet smelled as if it was never sanitized and we never felt clean the night we stayed there. Wow. Absolute dump. I definitely do not recommend staying here, especially with children. First for the room, it is less than what you would expect for the low price. Literally a bed and tv. The carpets were old, musty and filthy while the walls were stained and bathroom was a nightmare. Extremely outdated. I have stayed at Super 8 before in varying locations and have always had a pleasant stay with a quality room. This was not what I expected from Super 8, maybe a non-brand name motel on a side street. Second, it felt far from safe. There were questionable people all over the place - I'm not even sure if they were staying. Multiple rooms had doors open and people standing outside smoking, drinking and talking into the wee hours of morning and slamming doors making sleeping difficult. I parked, went into my room, locked the door and did not leave again, despite wanting to get ice. Not worth the low price...avoid. read more

I have no idea why when I read posts about Super 8 White River Junction, that weren't fantastic. Everyone there was so nice and accommodating. Especially Terri & Travis. Room was clean, and staff went out of there way to assist me with everything, for I am legally handicap. My niece plays basketball for Dartmouth, and I will definitely be back, for I intend to visit for all home games. Continental breakfast was good. Coffee brewed and out by 5am every day. WiFi was fast. Quick Check In. I couldn't be more content. Terri told me about UVAC. $15 a day, and you get the amenities of a 5 star hotel a stone throw away!! Loved it!! read more

Rude receptionist + dirty room = unpleasant experience. Upon arrival, one receptionist welcomed me and immediately asked if I had a reservation. I responded, "Yes, I just made it online," to which the receptionist Prudy felt the need to huff and chime in, "Then you don't have a reservation because we're sold out online." (I had made the reservation online within the previous hour, gone to the store, then checked-in.) Miss Karen quickly found my name/reservation; she was delightful and the only positive part about my stay. Arriving in my room, I found a dirty washcloth still hanging from the curtain rod, filthy counters, crumbs (or at least I think they're crumbs) in one bed, and a disgusting carpet I refuse to walk on barefooted. I understand it's the weekend before 4th of July, but that's no excuse for unprofessional, condescending staff or improperly cleaned rooms. Scary. Unclean. Go somewhere else. People lingering outside, smoking, drinking, waiting for their drug dealers (?), cops driving through, extremely dirty and decrepit everything. I've never felt more uncomfortable in a hotel. I would have felt safer and more comfortable sleeping in my car somewhere. I immediately asked for a refund and left. The only reason I went here in the first place is because the town looked nice and they are pet friendly. But drive anywhere else. Pay extra. Do anything you can to avoid this place. Got a great deal on Priceline for this motel but I would take it back if I could. My last experience with a Super 8 was great so I hoped being a chain they would be a little consistent. Not so. Arrived at 7pm to check in and probably waited 20 min while the front desk clerk struggled to deal with checking people in, she was clearly new and obviously the delays were a training issue, she was nice and the fault didn't lie with her. Would still be checking in but she asked the lady in front of me if she could help me because she had to call the manager at home to ask how to accept a cash payment on her room for another night. She checked me in very quickly once I got up there and proceeded to my room. The floor had a lot of stains. The chair in the room was absolutely gross with stains and the pictures don't don't do it justice. In all my years traveling at literally thousands of hotels I've never seen this pitiful excuse for pillows. A queen bed with 2 mini square pillows???? I mean come on. Where the tv is plugged is cracked and coming out from the wall looks like a safety/ fire hazard. The vanity area looks updated recently and nice but the bathroom is dated and dingy. Overall super disappointed. Had it not been so late I would have gone to get a refund and found another hotel, lesson learned. read more

The only reason I'm giving them one star is because the person at the counter was very pleasant and professional. However the hotel has many flaws. The worst of them all was the non smoking room smelt like someone smoked 3 packs of cigarettes in it. Floors had massive traffic stains that looked like they were never cleaned. Room smelled so bad my wife and I had to buy a Yankee candle to mask the smell, did little to help though. Sheets had cigarette burns in them, the tub did as well. Bed covers were stained, badly. Price was high as well,$120. Just a gross place. I should have just slept in my car instead. read more

The hotel Super 8 should be called Super Disgusting. We arrived very late at night after we gave up on staying at a friend's house that lacked A/C during a terrible heat wave last week. We got two rooms. Both stunk of stale smoke. I went to the front desk, and she said she only had one empty room so we checked out that room, which has newer carpet and therefore stunk a bit less. But we were stuck with one of the other rooms. The bedspreads were filthy. The fiberglass tub was cracked, so it looked like there was hair, but it was actually just the cracks. We barely slept as we kept smelling the disgusting odors all night. While there is a sign that says no smoking, there is no threat of fines for those that don't follow the rule (in contrast to Sleep Woodstock, where we stayed the second night, which had clear signs about fines for smoking). It were not so late at night and if we knew we could stay elsewhere, we would have just checked out within the first ten minutes. If you need a cheap place to sleep and you smoke, fine, stay here. But if you have more than $10 to your name, have asthma or hate the smell of smoke never ever come here. The night clerk, Kelly, was very nice and helpful, but her hands were tied. Avoid this hotel. And owners, enforce your rules, redo the walls and carpet and designate a few as smoking rooms. But normal people won't tolerate this dump. read more

This was my second time there. The staff is nice and the lobby had a new upgrade. I will however not stay there again. The rooms smell like mold and smoke (not just cigarettes). Dont give this place your business I dont know why it's just showing up.on my feed now but I'm serious I lost my dad 2 and a half years ago he was a disabled Vietnam Veteran with stage 4 pancreatic cancer who was staying here so he could get his care at the VA right across the street mind u he was in a wheelchair with no transportation he stayed here almost a month then called me one morning I live in Manchester New Hampshire to tell me they knocked on his door and told him he had to leave guests cannot stay past 30 days I had to take off work to drive all the way up to get him he was so upset he told em he had nowhere to go because he needed to get to his treatments at the va he offered em more money and everything they still said that's not our problem. I got him into a much nicer place to stay anyway but I cant believe that they would treat someone who served their country like something they stepped in absolutely no excuse shove your dump up your ass fucking assholes!!!!!! read more

When booking online, we made the "Special Request" of having a package of Peeps left on every pillow in the 4 rooms (8 beds) we had booked. Much to our surprise, the amazing staff at the hotel did, indeed, leave us each a large package of Peeps. Delicious. 10/10 Would so stay here again. read more
