Unfortunately this isn't my first time going to this recycling center. I drove to this location after checking the posted business hours, which state that the shop closes at 4 PM on Sundays. I arrived a little after 3:45 PM before closing, but was denied service. If the actual cutoff time is earlier than what's posted, it would be helpful and more respectful to customers' time to clearly state that. A notice indicating a 3:45 PM cutoff would help avoid confusion and unnecessary trips. (I went to two different Sunset Recycling down that were down the street from each other and I was denied at both of them) read more

I only came here because I needed to recycle for some extra cash for my car payment. Had seven bags of bottles and cans and I only got 10$ dollars. If I had went to my original recycling place I would've gotten way more than just ten dollars. I'm mad and upset and I should've waited for my recycling place to open. Don't come here if your recycling for money. It's a scam. This place needs to do better. read more

Came here 3 times and twice that I went it was awful. They don't weight your belins correctly. They only weight it half to the scale. Third time was ok. The gentlemen that was helping me weighed the buns correctly so I got what I was suppose to. Not worth the hassle coming here. Not trustworthy. Place is in a parking lot Value not so great. My family and I came here for the first time the other day. One of the main workers, Goku, was a super friendly guy, offered to handle the heavier cans my mother and I had. We also came 20 minutes before closing and continued to see more people come by to drop off cans and even though his bin was filled up he was still generous enough to take them in especially right before closing. I like bringing my recyclables here. They take glass. I had a lot this last time and the guys were super helpful. Kevin helped me carry my glass that was too heavy. They also have water and soap to wash your hands. You get really good pricing for your items here also! read more

I live 5 mins away from this location and every time its Just a pure disappointment thought maybe give it another chance. today as a holiday got there at 1235 and the employe said I couldn't recycle because they closed at 1pm meanwhile he's just sitting there reading a magazine. this isn't the person time the same guy told me no or come back later then closes early. Being recently new to the area, I was looking for a center so I can do my recycling. I had found this place on Google and yelp and thought I'd give it a try. Upon arrival I was quickly greeted by a gentleman who let me know that if I needed any help just to let him know that he was an employee for the center. After grabbing some containers to put my cans in, the employee offered me assistance to bring them to the front. I was quickly than greeted by the cashier, Goku, who is very energetic and pleasant. Things unfortunately you don't see in customer services. Due to go to my recent experience I'll gladly will do all my recycling at the center. read more

I brought a whole year of recyclables and came out with a good chunk of change. I came out with a bit more than I estimated. Seems fair. Not the greatest customer service, but I feel like at all redemption centers, they meet all wakes of life and it can be mentally exhausting, so give them your cans, get your money, and get out. Great service, helpful staff, easy to get bottles and cans recycled. I was fortunate to be there at a slow time and was able to get in and out in less than 10 minutes (which included my separating glass, aluminum, and plastic). I brought my sons here to teach them some work ethic and they were excited to make a few dollars. We were met by a very angry unhelpful man running the store front. We had never been to this location before and were unsure how to go about it. He offered ZERO assistance. We looked for baskets and he scolded us for entering the office area. He shouted at us and claimed it was "like we were just walking into his home looking for his wife". I politely asked him where the baskets were located, and he replied. "There are no more... you have to wait!" This was not a positive experience for myself or my boys... Another patron witness the exchange and decided to leave as well. I took 4 trash bags @ 15 lbs each = 60 lbs total! According to attendant it was only 40.9 lbs! It's all BS! I weighed each bag! Their a rip off!!!!! Be aware!!! Dropped my cans & plastic bottles off on a Tuesday morning, & the wait was short. The guy working there is super friendly. Just be sure to put your plastic bottles in the orange mesh baskets. Cans can go in either the blue or orange baskets. This was my second time here & the experience has been very good both times. They're behind the old KMart building. read more
