Brother comes here to recycle items and it's a no fuss, in and out experience that happens pretty quickly. We drive there, he stops the car, takes out our bag of recyclables and we get the cash on the spot. They give you a receipt too. We only ever recycle bags of drinks cans and bottles here so I can't comment too much about recycling other goods but if we were going to give it to someone else or just toss it out, the tens of dollars we do get after months of collecting is worth it for the convenience of it all. My only gripe is I'm fairly certain that they skim off the top of what you should be actually getting, and keep some for themselves. Great local place to get your recycling done. Why not get some change for your recycling instead of tossing it in your blue bin each week. They always have staff available to help you out and sort through your recyclables. It helps if you try to pre-sword as much as you can yourself though. it's a little bit difficult with glass, if you're not paying attention to the CRV stuff. They send coupons for aluminum recycling monthly through email if you give it to them. But they also provide a new coupon every time you get your recycling done. I'm not really sure why I only gave this place three stars in the past, but maybe it's because the service and the process to get in and out has been made a lot easier with some recent renovations. I wait about 3-4 months collecting stuff and come away with about $20-$25 worth, so not too bad. Overall, quick and easy, and you get to feel a little better for doing your part to minimize landfill waste. read more

Just as I expected, look at these terrible reviews. Went there today. I had a strong feeling I should have went somewhere else. When I saw my receipt, I was like WTH!? I had a huge oven and a water heater. Just don't go here. I remember there used to be a nice Asian lady there. That was when it was nice. Came here today afternoon around 12pm and been here many times to do my recycling. It's a very efficient, spacious place and I always appreciate the workers coming to my car and helping me load all my bottles and cans. They make things more convenient and I'm often in and out with my recycle money! Only complaint is sometimes environment might smell or few dirty with flies flying around but that's as expected with most recycling places. read more

They have big signs to direct you at the same time, staffs so helpful Jose helped us right away when husband back up his truck. Enrique weighed our plastic bottles, cans & glasses items. While other staffs Jose, Lorenzo Lola, Oscar assisted to move barrels of the items to be weighed. Excellent Teamwork's! Please note this review is based on electronics recycling. I saw some reviews saying they had accepted electronics, but I think they have not done that for a while just f.Y I. This center is primarily a plastic, glass and metal recyclery. They don't seem to take electronics anymore. I'm giving it 4 stars, though, because it seems popular and the people there are prompt and polite when answering the phone, and they help you remove your recyclables from your car. I give this place five stars because they made it so easy for me to recycle a rice cooker. A little bit of background: my current place does not offer recycling, and I've always had challenges recycling appliances and electronics. We researched a few other places and they either couldn't recycle rice cookers or charged us to recycle it. This place immediately responded to our phone call and was willing to pay us for our rice cooker (8 cents). That 8 cents was a godsend. Highly recommend. This place can get a little hectic but I don't care because I've found a new place to recycle all my stuff. I really believe in recycling and sustainability but to be honest, I feel like its not emphasized or prioritized in many communities and centers. It was lunch time for other recycling centers. They couldn't do anything since it was their lunch break. I'm a busy person with deadlines to meet. One phone call was all it took for me to visit Kay Met. The person who answered the phone told me that they were opened for lunch, and that they do not take breaks. As I pulled into the lots, I saw that there were several car already there unloading their recyclables. But, Kay Met was not like the small shopping center recycling centers I used to visit. They had spots available for me to park, and not only that, they had employees asking to help me to throw everything into one of their receptacles. This was probably the best and most well run recycling center I've been to. Their employees were very helpful and did not look like ex-cons working at the supermarket recycling centers. I did not compare prices with the supermarket recycling centers, but, Kay Met was the most pleasant recycling center that I've been to. I was in and out of there in less than ten minutes. read more

Really friendly people doing some great work! It was my first time here, but the cashier lady helped me promptly by calling a guy over to help recycle my stuff (I think his name was Jason). He was super nice and helped sort my stuff into all the specific bins. They weighed the bins and gave a receipt to cash in. Wanted to teach my kiddos about recycling and money, so we've been saving cans for over a year. So, we found this recycling center on Yelp and drove on down. Very helpful & friendly staff. They assisted with the sorting and transfer of all our recyclables. I believe that it's a family business and I love to support small business like these where you know they are hardworking and trying to do it the right way. The nice lady at the cashier's booth even gave my kids some lollipops and wipes. Will definitely return for all our recycling needs. They took my old tv and I didn't have to pay! My old tv has been broken for a while now and just taking up space. I looked around and some places wanted to charge me to recycle the old tv. Friendly staff, they help us unload our recyclables to their designated bins. The whole process room less than 10min max and that's including waiting in line to get recyclables to get weighted. They have hand sanitizer by the cash register if forgot to bring your own. Covid-19 friendly. Will definitely return. read more

The first and last time I came here, easy to find since it's in an industrial area and it's pretty much on the corner lot, except the entrance is down the street near the back of the lot. The lot is huge, but it's not a parking lot just a dirt lot. There are a lot of workers helping people take and sort their items from cars. They are quick and pretty organized. I always go to recycle with bags already sorted and full so I literally arrive with a certain number of bags per type of recyclables. Each bag fills one bin (their containers to weigh recyclables) completely usually. So not much work except take out of car, exchange each bag into a bin, and move the lot to weigh it. Normally everything's fast and simple and I'm there to watch them weigh each. (need to be smart about watching cus I usually go with A LOT of recyclables so I've learnt to keep an eye on what's being weighted.) unfortunately this one time I forgot my phone in my car (which was like 5 ft away), which I need since I saved the digital coupon for extra ¢ per pound in specific materials, and halfway thru the weighing I literally ran back to get my phone... Took maybe 15 seconds... And when I get back to the front the guy is done printing out my total... I actually look and go over the receipts... And notice the total bins are off... I literally count how many bins of aluminum, how many plastic... Etc. I mean the guy who helped me unload my car (and bless his soul he was so quick and didn't say a word when he saw how organized I was already... I was gonna give him a tip but I got caught up in this fiasco and I literally left before I ended up shooting flames of of my eyes...) literally stood and watched me take each bin, organize and even out each bin... Then group them and COUNT... TWICE... BEFORE I drag the bins over to get them weighed. So it's not like I could've remembered the numbers wrong... And I'll never forget this interaction... I tell the guy that the numbers are wrong and the guy looks at me a little surprised but then gives a little half cut off chuckle, as if not knowing or expecting to need to handle something like this... and tries to answer in super broken English, with as little vocabulary as possible, "no... All here. It correct." He goes over what's on the receipt but blatantly ignoring that its missing 2 bins. And I'm specific because like I said i literally COUNTED how many bins of each material before I drag em over to weigh. I'm getting nowhere with this guy and he keeps insisting it's all there and I need to sign and go get my money... Absolutely ridiculous... But they dump each bin as they weigh it, so I literally can't do anything about it since they took all my recyclables back already. I'm frustrated but making a huge scene with no way to prove I'm missing 2 bins is just gonna make me look crazy... And honestly it was like $30 worth of recyclables that's missing. It's not a lot to have to go Karen on this guy or this business... But the idea of I spent all this time at home sorting out each material and bagging it up knowing what each bag is worth... Just to have someone pull a fast one with something that seriously shouldn't have been on that list of things to watch out for stealing or scamming... On the bright side, the person that pays out in the cashier office or whatever... Was super nice and thoughtful. Just felt bad they had to sit in this tiny little room mostly closed up except this tiny front slot for money exchange. I went during summer and it was HOT out. Sorry for ranting but bottom line is... This place has ripped me off the first time... And it's also my last time ever going there again... So no I would not recommend you go here unless you can keep an eye on what's happening at all times, or maybe if you don't care so much as getting exactly what you are trading for... Or maybe you are just bringing like 2 or 3 bags to recycle or something like that... So if still undeterred by my shitty experience, proceed to this place with caution. I'm sure it doesn't happen all the time to everyone but it's possible the next one scammed could be you that's all... Otherwise I think it's safer to go to one of these smaller individual container recycling places nearby. Those usually have like one or two guys helping and usually have decent prices for trade in. The guys I've come across there are super honest too, I brought them a coupon for better trade in prices, and apparently a few of them had better updated pricing and the guy who weighted my recyclables told me exactly that so I most definitely got the best payout. It's places like those that you can't appreciate enough... places like Renovate Recycling. Not advertising for them lol... But just my 2¢... Hope I was helpful to someone out there. read more

This is a great recycling plant. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. We had about 8 trucks worth of stuff and every time we were greeted with big smiles and most of the time people helped. We recycled a lot of cardboard so I am not sure about their prices for metal, but judging by the amount of people there I'd say offer a good price. We never had to wait either. They have a food, spacious setup. My parents were so impressed they wanted to go back and buy them donuts. read more

I came here this past weekend to do some much needed recycling. The staff was really helpful with sorting and friendly! There were several other cars when I got there, but the staff made the process go smoothly and quickly. I was in and out in ten minutes. They weigh the recyclables and give you a receipt. The cashier was really nice and even offered my son a lollipop (which I didn't give him, haha). She handed me the cash and some sani-wipes! I will definitely be back in the near future. read more

Gone a couple times, but recently the man claimed to have weighed all the recyclables the moment I turned around which wasn't very long as I had four barrels. I got half of what I usually get and when I told him if he weighed all of them all but before I could finish, the man who weighs the cans aluminum and plastic started yelling in a defensive manner saying he did weigh them all which causes me to believe he did not. The workers are helpful, but the guy in charge of weighing is shady so watch him if you go here and don't keep your eyes off him or he will try some slight of hand. read more

I have been here a few times now and I am consistently impressed every time. Their service is prompt! I pop the trunk and they are already at the car practically before I'm out of it. Very appreciated! I try to pre-sort, but they will help sort if necessary. The weighing is quick, they have sanitizer at the register, and everyone is masked up. The guy that weighs your bottles and cans is no bueno. If you weigh the cans/bottles individually, you get less. If you weigh all three together, you get more. WHAT'S WITH THAT? **WARNING** Not low car friendly place. Good thing I took the SUV and not my car to this place. I had 17 bag full of bottles in the white kitchen bags. The place seemed like you were standing on landfill and it smelled like a landfill place as well so be prepared. The smell is there because of the aroma from bottles, cans, beer bottles, etc. anyway as I came here. There were people just waiting and standing outside their vehicles waiting to be helped. I didn't really care and just grabbed bins for my stuff. Ended up dumping four trash bags in two bins and went ahead and went in line. Got around $8 for my first time then I went back to my SUV and starting doing the other 13 bags I had left and all of a sudden a worker started to help me which helped a lot and made the whole process run faster. Ended up getting $30.50 for the second batch so all in all I got $38.00 for 17 bag fulls of bottles and one bag full of cans. I know I could have gone more if I went to re planet and deposited the bottles bottle by bottle but I had so much! And the guy asked me if I had a coupon. A coupon?? Where do you get coupons?? I guess I have to look up coupons then next time I go. But basically I'll probably go to replanet and do the bottle by bottle process first and would like to get close to my CRV deposit back. I know if I didn't do the weighing scale thingy by them and with the rates they have. I could have gotten more money. But whatevers. read more

It seems that every time I recycle with Kaymet, Kaymet mis-identifies my plastic CRV bottles by paying me nonCRV price. This habit seems to occur more often when I recycle numerous types of plastic and glass bottles. Suggestion to all: recycle only two types of bottles at one visit and place a sign "CA- CRV" into the baskets before Kaymet weights and price them. read more
