I brought my, new to me, truck in for an interior detailing and tint removal. My top concern were the tints passing inspections but more so the back window, which you could hardly see out of. They stated they couldn't do much to the rear without ruining the defroster; the whole point of going to a professional is that they could do this. So, seeing out the rear is still difficult. Also, the windows now have a fog. My other main concern was a weird scent in the carpets. I waited a few weeks to post this so the invasive spray they use could dissipate, to tell how good of a job they actually did. The weird smell is still there as if they didn't wash anything at all. If anyone cleans something well a perfume should never be needed. The truck wasn't dirty otherwise but they didn't clean the cup holder that I had spilled something in the day before. Lastly, it was never conveyed to me that they didn't have a waiting room or that it's drop off only; I had the displeasure of sitting in a Dunkin' Donuts for over 4 hours. read more

I brought my Charger to Sunshine to add ceramic coating to help prolong the life of the finish and make cleaning simple. The different types of coatings can be overwhelming to understand but Ray took the time to explain the process to me and what my options were. We set an appointment several weeks out and I set about waiting. Naturally a few swirls and even a scratch appeared while waiting but when the day finally came, Ray assured me he would be able to take care of everything. I expected to be without my car for a week but to my surprise, he said it would be done in just two days. As promised, the car was done in two days and of course, it looked amazing. To the untrained eye it probably wouldn't have looked much different if he'd just washed and waxed it though since it's a brand new car. To me, it looked so much better! The paint was deeper and reflected clearer. The finish looked flawless from every angle: not a swirl in sight. He had also cleaned the interior, coated the glass, and the wheels (including barrels). If that was all he did I would have been thrilled but.... I then received an in-depth explanation of the steps that were taken, the products used, how to care for it, the additional services (both complimentary and paid) that would be done to maintain the coating, and was given additional product for wash and finish. In addition to quality work I received high quality service! Price was exactly as we agreed and was more than fair for the work performed. Final note about ceramic coating - this is not your father's carnauba wax. Water seems to be completely afraid of the paint and it runs off in sheets. Just got home from having my car detailed at Sunshine Auto. I bought a Groupon for an interior cleaning and deluxe wash package for an SUV (I own an '09 black RAV4). Being in the northwest, my car's interior gets pretty grimy from repeated wintry exposures to the muddy snow, leaves, and salt/gravel. I've never actually paid for this type of service, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Anyway, I scheduled an appointment (required) and was told the job would take about 3 hours. They only take one car at a time. I pulled up to the tiny, unassuming building/garage. The owner greeted me right away, looked my car over inside and out briefly, and started on the car almost as soon as I pulled in; no fluff, all business. I waited in his office, and I could tell he works hard and pays attention to the car on hand 100% of the time. After just under 3 hours, he politely informed me that my car was ready. The interior looked like it did when it was brand new- every inch had been wiped and polished, and even my steering wheel FELT and smelled fresh and clean as I started driving. The panels on my radio were squeaky clean. I believe he even did the seatbelts- they were each buckled neatly across. My sideview mirrors were sparkling- I try to make sure they're clean, but man, I had no idea what a difference there would be. Truly lots of attention to detail. The exterior is so polished (the black has never looked better) that I'm nervous to drive anywhere that would make it even a tiny bit dirty again (and I will have it in for any bird that dares to do its business on my car while it's looking so perfect)! The staff are men of few words but are so professional and efficient. I would come here again to get my car taken care of. This place is no frills, all service. Am glad Groupon brought them to my attention. I believe they offer a range of different services and packages depending on what level of cleaning you want (i.e just interior, just vacuum, just exterior, full detail, etc). read more

My birthday was coming up and I told my hubby that I wanted my car detailed. After the long winter driving my kids and dogs around my car was a wreck. He called around and made an appointment at Sunshine. We had to wait awhile - 4 weeks - but it was worth it. We brought the car in at 9am and was told it would take 6 hours. It took closer to 8. I didn't mind the wait but he explained that the reason for the delay was all the dog hair. When I clean the car I don't even try to get every last dog hair - that's impossible right? No. There wasn't one dog hair left in the car when we picked it up. I was absolutely amazed! They cleaned every crevice of my car. They took care of the gum on the door of the backseat that my son had so kindly left there. The car looks better than the day we bought it (pre-owned). The leather seats squeak they're so clean! They even let us know that they saw something underneath the car that suggested we have the brakes checked. I'm the type of person who washes my car my self and won't trust anyone touching my car. But living in New England with no garage and sub zero temperature, the water will freeze before i could even dry it. I needed someplace that kept it old school doing the hand wash method being that its the safest way for your paint. I have brought my car in to Sunshine several times now, I started off using the Groupon just to try it out. I have a 2003 Toyota Corolla. I work close to this location and got a ride to work and my shining sparkling car delivered back to me with a smile and a handshake. Ray runs a tight ship and is a perfectionist. It shows in the work he does. He takes pride in his work. There was not one thing left undone. My car looked better than the day I bought it brand new. I called this place on Monday and made an appointment for Thursday morning. The guy told me they are there at 7am. I figured it be safe to give them an hour to set up and made the appointment for 8am. This appointment was only four days away. I showed up and the door was locked. I called and could hear the answering machine. I then looked into the garage window only to notice everything was dark and no one was around. I had planned to drop off my vehicle so I had a friend picking me up. This place not only wasted my time and money driving there but also my friends. Unacceptable and unprofessional ... STAY AWAY!! I did receive a call 20 minutes later saying they had stepped out of the shop to take the first person to work. Hello - you have an appointment ... make arrangements just like I did!! That place was completely shut down and looked like no one had been there. All they had to do was make a courtesy call letting me know they had to run out and would be right back. How about a note on the door with an explanation? No, you can not pick up my vehicle b/c I don't just let some stranger drive it. Again, this is completely unacceptable and unprofessional! I brought my car here at the suggestion of a coworker, she told me that Ray takes great pride in his work. That was evident when I picked my car up, it was as good as new (I should note that the car was in atrocious condition considering that I never washed it after seven years of owning it and have a bulldog in the backseat regularly). Brought my wife's truck in for a full detail. When I got it back it was anything but full detailed. It was more like an expensive car wash that I could have done better. From a distance the truck looked great. Nice and clean and shiny. But once you get closer you can see all the fine scratches that should have been polished out. I have polished out worse scratch he's then what was on the truck. Wheel Wells where still filthy, I opened the gas door and inside was filthy. Any good detailer will make sure these simple things are clean. Once I opened the door i got a whiff of cleaners and it smelled cleaner until I got home and started looking the truck over. Filth everywhere. Rugs where filthy, headliner was filthy. Plastics were filthy. I called and spoke to the owner who offered to pick up the truck the next day and personally go over it himself again, I agreed to let him pick up the truck and attempt to make things right. The next day he picked up the truck at 9am and returned it at 1pm. He did clean a few areas but the scratches are still there and the interior is still filthy. I was able to wipe some of the stains off the rug with a clean rag. I moved the seats all the way forward and there was still straw wrappers and change under the seat. Gas door still filthy. Wheel Wells still filthy plastics still filthy. I guess you get what you pay for. The owner was very nice but their work is very poor quality compared to other places I have dealt with. Granted, they cost twice as much but there is no comparison. The 2 stars is for the effort of trying to make it better. But still failed. My mom had extremely thick and very severe sap on the roof of her car. Many, many people told me it would never come off. I took it to Sunshine Auto Detailing in Cranston. Initial impressions over phone and photos were good, things quickly changed once I went to their location. Upon arriving at the run down shack with business name taped to inside of window and a door lock that was about to fall off, I knocked on the door and found the owner. Asked him to take a look at my car and explained the services I needed which included clay bar, he said he would not clay bar car, I countered with I still want it done and immediately he got defensive and started justifying himself with all of the "certificates" and his long list of credentials and expertise and pretty much told me to leave the shop with his hand stuck out like I was going to shake it. At this point I figured I'd still give the guy a shot, maybe he was having a bad day, scheduled two weeks out for a list of things to do. Come a frigid Saturday morning at eight thirty am (opens at seven am) on the dot I was at the shop, no answer..... Check the building next door, no answer. Bang on door, honk horn for an eternity over the course of thirty mins. During the time I was sitting in my car I called the guy 13 times, he finally shutoff his cellphone. What a scumbag, if you're looking for professional services and customer service look elsewhere, there are tons of other locations that offer same services, are professional, at work before they open and do not have a one bay run down shack for their "operation". Awesome Job Sunshine!!! I called last week and made and appointment to have my car detailed. I spoke with Ray who was very accomodating to make the appointment fit into my schedule. The morning of my appointment I dropped my car off at Sunshine and was greeted outside. Ray again went over the detail package that I had chosen and let me know when I could expect my car to be ready.
