I have been here several times, but I finally realized the best way to shop here is to come when the salon is actually open and the ladies are working. That is where all the makeup is located and they are the ones who are able to help with everything in that section. They are incredibly helpful and I got so much great stuff the last time I went in. I really cannot wait to go back because they are so inviting and never make you feel like you shouldn't be there. I'd give a 0 stars if I could. I've been growing my eye brows for a very long time. I asked the lady to just clean them up and that I specifically said I didn't want them thin. Once she was done she handed me the mirror to find that my eye brows were ruined. They were EXTREMELY thin. I nearly cried on the chair. Her response was "I'm sorry about that just use a pencil for now and when they grow back I'll fix them for you." I will not be returning back and if you cherish your brows the same way I do, I'd skip on this place. read more

Soni has been doing my brow threading for AT LEAST 10 years-- may be close to 15? Every time she does my brows, I leave here more confident as a woman than I was when I walked in. She gets the angles and thickness right every time and is worth the 30 minute drive for me. I've gone to other places, but then I have to go back to Soni to fix them. No appointment is needed! Just walk in and take a number and they help you in under 10 minutes tops! I used to go to a girl in Thousand Oaks to get my eyebrows waxed and I would have to book a month and a half in advance and pay more than 5x more than the eyebrow threading here literally! I've been coming for 4 years. I use to work in west hills so it was super convenient. Now I have to drive out here from Glendale. All the ladies are awesome at eye brow threading!!! That's usually what I get. The henna tattoos can use more improvement or maybe what I ask for is too difficult. I trust the owner Rajni to cur my hair, as well as Rag. They're both so gentle and always understand exactly how much I want cut off. I also dye my hair with henna, and all 3 girls can do a great job. Lastly the facial i have only gotten oNce and it was good. Prices for services are decent, and sometimes they have AMAZING special prices. I've been going to this salon to get my eyebrows threaded since last year, and I am pleasantly surprised with the results each time. If you do decide to get your eyebrows threaded here, I recommend you tell them specifically where/what you want them to thread. They are fast and efficient, resulting in perfect eyebrows each time for me. They put aloe vera gel afterwards, which is a nice added touch. My only complaint is that last time I went to get them done, my skin broke out for weeks afterward (which isn't really their fault, but then again idk because that time they didn't put the aloe vera gel). All in all, their eyebrow threading is worth the time and money and I will gladly return again for my next threading. read more

I have been going here for years! Rajini has always left me a happy customer when it came to my eyebrows. Always giving reasonable prices as well! Of course, when the pandemic started, I was very hesitant to go back to any salon. I was very pleased that Sunshine Beauty takes COVID precautions VERY seriously. They wipe down the seat between uses, enforce masks, and even make the customers use the hand sanitizer before starting. Why listen to me? Well, I'm currently getting my masters in epidemiology, so I take public health very seriously. I am also a complete germaphobe already, so take it from me when I say that I felt safe coming here!! WAX IS NOT DONE THE BEST & IRRITATION AFTER!! This place is really small, walking in, I didn't feel nor was I welcomed. It felt like I had walk into someone's home. Anyhow, I waited in line for my turn, once it got to me, it seemed like the lady was in a rush. Her responses and body language made it seem like I was on very little time. Once we get in the waxing room, she comes in on a FaceTime call. While she was waiting for the wax to melt, her back camera was facing me; now I'm sure she was showing me to her friend, but at the same time, I do have right to assume that. I think this is very unprofessional. In the end, I got my underarms waxed with way too much baby powder on them. I don't recommend you come here. Better to pay $15 elsewhere. read more

Been coming here for years with my mom. Rajini is the best for eyebrows, hands down. She works pretty quickly so it can hurt a bit if you're sensitive around the eye area like me, but its well worth it. She knows the best shapes to flatter your face and everything. Her assistants (I believe they've changed over the years) are great too and for $5 it's the best place to go.
