So much so, last year I had to be sedated! Zwanger-Persiri radiology has state of the art equipment for all your imaging needs. And it's so convenient, so close to my home. The staff is very patient and professional and they always play on their television in the lobby educational programs. I was watching a show on Great White Sharks, I didn't want to leave! Once I'm in the MRI room, they're playing 80s music to keep calm. Not moving for 10 minutes? I'm like a shark, constantly in motion. I sat still, payed my co payment and was out the door. It's really location specific- today 1/19/26 around 3:10 pm- at the east setauket location I was…read morethere getting a cat scan with IV contrasts - the blonde person inserting the IV placed it and withdraw blood from me in a syringe at the same time and saved it on the counter - not telling me what or why she needed it and then proceeded to tell me to leave and wait in the room next door- i then asked why the blood was taken she said oh they need to check my kidney function( test my dr did before sending me for this test) she then proceeded to put some drops in a card to run in machine and saved the rest- she came back said test was ok but still didn't discard the left over one in the syringe- it was instead placed in an cut envelope ( extra unsafe step there not needed!!) and since I wouldn't leave , she attempted to discard the syringe protected in the half cut enveloped. I said no - then took the syringe out of the envelope and emptied half the blood in syringe in the red hazard disposable sharp bin next to me first before dropping into the completely in the bin. Now be careful everyone- something fishy about this be careful - be vigilant - trust no one!! I advised the technician next time to inform me of what she was doing before proceeding. Without my consent, she collected my blood to run test without my permission. Shocking! Wonder what else is going on there. Be careful yall!!! I would be careful everyone- ask questions when not sure and always trust your instinct. This is a first time I know that a radiology place would draw one's blood free of charge to run a test without one's consent- they obtain consent for everything including asking and recommending test to charge your without insurance but somehow running test on my blood without consent is done without permission and free of charge. If this has happened to you don't ignore it speak up.

While the staff doing your tests are all wonderful the billing department is a nightmare. Every…read moretime in the last 3 years my husband and I have been sent in for preventive screening that should be no cost to us if billed as a screening they have been billing them as diagnostic even though every time the prescription from the doctor says screening. When you ask them to resubmit it to the insurance with the proper diagnostic codes for a screening they refuse and you have to get your insurance company on the phone with them, and they still argue about it. If a scrip says it is a preventive screening bill it correctly! As I said have been fighting with them for both me and my husband for over 3 years over this. We have been having these screenings there since 2016 and the first 6 years everything was billed correctly but now it is like they have idiots working in the billing department who refuse to go by the scripts submitted. I have even had the doctor's office call them and they still refuse to bill it correctly. Do not ever use them if what you are going for is a preventive screening. They also bill through North Shore University Hospital instead of as a stand alone facility so the costs are much higher than they should be being billed as. We have one bill in collection now that we are disputing as had it been billed correctly our insurance would have paid it in full. I will no longer use them even though all my doctors are Northwell. From now on I will go to Zwanger or Bab radiology.

Place is very clean and staff is super nice from reception to all the technicians. Very professional. I honestly never do reviews, but I felt compelled because it really is a great place for imaging.

I had a CT scan on 8/12 . My results still weren't checked…read moreon 8/20. I called and was told they would put " a rush " on it and a note was being sent to radiology bc I had my follow up appt with my doctor on 8/21. It still hasn't been done. The staff in the office are absolutely lovely. The experience of actually going for the scan was wonderful. Super friendly and kind employees.

Went in for an annual mammogram today and found out I owed $150 for a Bill I never saw dating back…read moreto July 2015! I have never seen this Bill, it's never been on my credit history. I've never gotten a not notification or a phone call. Nothing about this bill until this morning. They proceeded to tell me then until I paid this bill I was no longer able to schedule appointments with them. How in the 10 years of me going to them for annual screening is this the first time I had ever heard about owing them never mention to me and all the times I had been going to them. What absolute crappy customer service and retention over $150. Shame on you Zwanger. You're not getting my money. Unbelievable

I am extremely claustrophobic and suffer from anxiety,Kevin the MRI tech was sympathetic to me and he took his time with me. Tina the office manager went above and beyond for me she was even going to sit in the room and talk to me while I complete my exam .From the moment I walk into the place the front desk was very friendly and attentive to me .The compassion and kindness the staff of medical arts showed was unremarkable .I would like to say Thank you to all of the staff for being so patient with me and helping me .

Everyone working here was really nice and really professional. The scans were read quickly and results reported to my doctor in a timely manner. The care I received at this lab was the worst I've ever had…read more The first time I used this lab, I was uncomfortable - the office itself was somber and stark, the "receptionist" unfriendly but I stayed because I didn't know where else to go. After a short while, a gentleman called me in to take my blood. This man was a bit tense but warmed up quickly and I felt more at ease. He did a great job - no pain, put on a proper bandage and there was no bruising later on. I had another need to draw blood and thought to use the same place - didn't like the place in general but the care I got from the individual was good (one makes tradeoff's). This time there was the same "receptionist" I checked in and sat down. Not to long after the "receptionist" called me to take my blood sample (I got the impression she had just cleaned the toilet) and I followed her - she followed me into the room and began to prep me. I was surprised and asked if she was a phlebotomist and she said yes...I was still surprised and asked about the person who served me the first time there....this started off a conversation about how no one stays there very long - how the place seems to be a revolving door....that she is alone there and does everything alone. At this point I thought of leaving but bit the bullet and stayed...since I'm a "gallon member" at the center for blood donations, I thought it a good idea to point out my best vein.....she poked me there, it hurt, and drew the blood......then, she took a small lump of cotton and put it over the wound and attached approx 6-8" of what appeared to be paper tape on my arm. I left wondering what happened. Next day I bruise that lasted about 2 weeks....till today have a phantom cushy spot that comes and goes. I won't go there again

I tried to drop off a sample to be tested at 1:45 on May 1,2023 at the Rocky Point location. All…read morethe paperwork was done. A male technician stopped me at the door and refused to take the sample. He said they were going to lunch even though it was posted that lunch was between 12 and 1:00PM. He told me to come back later or the next day. I told him I couldn't because I had to go to work and the sample needed to be refrigerated right away. I asked him if he could just take it and he refused. There was a person in the waiting room who heard everything and this was very embarrassing. This man was rude and completely out of line. I had to get another prescription from my doctor and a referral to another lab. I will never go back there again even though I have gone there for years. Now, a very important test has to be redone and time was wasted. Terrible experience
