Every…read moretime in the last 3 years my husband and I have been sent in for preventive screening that should be no cost to us if billed as a screening they have been billing them as diagnostic even though every time the prescription from the doctor says screening. When you ask them to resubmit it to the insurance with the proper diagnostic codes for a screening they refuse and you have to get your insurance company on the phone with them, and they still argue about it. If a scrip says it is a preventive screening bill it correctly! As I said have been fighting with them for both me and my husband for over 3 years over this. We have been having these screenings there since 2016 and the first 6 years everything was billed correctly but now it is like they have idiots working in the billing department who refuse to go by the scripts submitted. I have even had the doctor's office call them and they still refuse to bill it correctly. Do not ever use them if what you are going for is a preventive screening. They also bill through North Shore University Hospital instead of as a stand alone facility so the costs are much higher than they should be being billed as. We have one bill in collection now that we are disputing as had it been billed correctly our insurance would have paid it in full. I will no longer use them even though all my doctors are Northwell. From now on I will go to Zwanger or Bab radiology.

Their recording offers an online scheduling option but not for CT's. The looped recording on their phone line offers the Covid and high call volume nonsense so many businesses fall back on...unacceptable. Given the potential urgency of and the high costs of procedures associated with visiting these offices patient services should be a much, much higher priority!

During the (long) MRI my arms were put in non-sustainable positions, when finally, after having to stop twice, the medical assistant flipped up arm supports that had been there the whole time. Tip - if going in for an internal organ MRI with dye, be sure to ask for the arm supports right off the bat. It will save shoulder pain later. Also, if you are on the shorter side and claustrophobic, you will be in the machine. A blindfold helped me.

It's seems more and more rare these days that you enter any medical facility and actually have someone kind and happy to greet you - well this is one of those places. I went today for 2 ultrasound scans. I had 'zero' wait time - I was taken right in. The woman who did the scans was extremely sweet (Annie) and made the whole experience calming and pleasant. I wish I could give both of the young ladies 20 stars, but that is not offered. Less than 1.5 hours later, my report results were posted on the Optum (My Chart) website - who could ask for more??

The person doing the X-Rays saw how much pain I was in and said she would put a rush on the results and told me to call my doctor the next day. Sure enough I called my doctor's office and the results were there. The people working here are friendly, I will definitely return when I need more testing for this hip pain I've been having.
