A dozen round donuts is advertised at $16.99, so imagine my shock when the total came out to **$30.12**! When I asked why it was so expensive, the cashier which I believe is the owner, explained that she charged me per donut--$2.27 each! I pointed out that it would've been cheaper to just charge the $16.99 for a dozen, plus the additional $2.75 per fancy donut. She recalculated, and at one point, I saw the register display **$25.12**, but she quickly cleared it and landed back at $30.12. I explained that I regularly buy the same order and am usually charged **$21.66**, but she seemed eager to rush the transaction due to the growing line. Her solution? Offering me an extra donut I didn't ask for or need instead of addressing the actual issue. It felt like a classic bait-and-switch tactic, and the lack of transparency was disappointing.
