Once I shared my initial ideas, he added experience and knowledge of what would and might not work, with alternatives and recent install suggestions. His design ideas were great, and we changed direction a few times to follow his suggestions! The team laid high quality protection materials, and left the house spotless at the end of every day. Not sure the owner, but communication is lacking on all levels. Will note there was a pause in the permitting which stalled for a few weeks, but this was well in the beginning of the year. They will show 1 day and you won't see them for another 2 weeks. Which leaves me here, with a half installed fence, and a deposit that is in their pocket since December of 2024.

Had a tree that fell on our roof and completely smashed a chimney. Vic was there same day to…read moreassess the damage, covered up the hole before we got rainfall, and then he and Claudio rebuilt the chimney to exactly match the look and functionality it had before, down to the same cedar siding we had on the rest of the house. Claudio was even nice enough to clean the chimney duct and secure a loose deck board free of charge. This is the second time I have used High Ridge for roof work and both times have been some of the best experiences I have ever had.

I did not know Jim, nor was I referred to him. I read about his business and background ( his…read more"story"), talked to him at length, and decided to give it a shot. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate Jim and the quality of his work at least a 15. Jim sent me photos, of the various stages of the restoration, on a regular basis, just to keep me in the loop. And, the job was done without any excuses or delay. I also saw some of his other projects in his workshop ~ his work is just excellent! Jim is a fine, upstanding person, who sincerely cares about what he is doing. I gladly, and highly, recommend him to anyone looking to do a restoration/refinishing project. I had the pleasure of using the The Furniture Shop for a small antique coffee table I recently…read moreinherited, which is very sentimental to me. My plan was to use this coffee table as a bench at the end of the bed, however it was very wobbly, not sturdy enough to be sat on, and had at least a 5" crack in the middle of one of the legs. I contacted Jim via email and sent pictures, to which he replied to promptly and provided a rough estimate.... so I made an appointment to bring it in. Jim is both a gentleman, who was a pleasure to deal with, and an expert craftsman, who has 28 years experience in both furniture repair and upholstery. He knows his stuff! His shop was absolutely immaculate and he was both kind and easy to talk to. Top notch customer service :) 4 days later my table was ready! Apparently, it required pretty much an entire deconstruct of the second shelf and all the legs, regluing and reinforcing all interior dowels and then reassembly. The cracked table leg? I couldn't even notice it was repaired! I'm thrilled to have my treasured sentimental table back with the ability to use it in more functional manner as a bench for the end of the bed! I would absolutely recommend Jim to anyone who needs furniture repaired. Overall it was a top notch experience in every way.

The relocation involved opening sheetrock wall and ceiling in the utility room below. The pair handled the job efficiently and cleaned up the area when finished. His guys came by and were able to rewire a disconnected junction box in the damned ceiling by wiring a new lead from downstairs creating another leg off of the washer circuit and thereby restoring power to 4 receptacles. Overall, great experience, and Antonio is legitimately one of the nicest, no bullshit guys, and I value that. I will gladly come back to him for more work.
