I viewed the school a couple weeks ago and the school, was very cozy. The kidos looked happy and so did thr teacher.

My son, 20mo, has been there less than 2 months and this last week he came home 3 different days bitten on the back, once bringing blood. We had to go to them, there was no incident report and no one even knew.... 3 times different days, separate occasions and no one saw this happening!?! I never want to complain about my son's care but I have not been impressed by Sunshine House as of late. My son's original daycare at the Long Point Road location (Mount Pleasant, SC) is temporarily closed due to staff being fired and lack of teachers. My son was transferred to the Park West location (Mount Pleasant). A popular reoccurrence with both locations are the classrooms being shut down for one or more days due to "staff shortages". I understand stuff happens but I would also think that having backup staff would be necessary. I have the luxury of working from home if need be but what do other parents do if this is not an option? It is almost too easy for them to close their classrooms at the drop of a hat and this is extremely unprofessional in my opinion. We are also not reimbursed if this occurs and this is also wrong in my eyes. If there was additional availability at other schools, Sunshine House would not be my first choice. read more

If you don't care about high teacher turn overs, and your child's learning curriculum this is the perfect facility!! Overcrowded classrooms, my toddler (3) child in a room with bigger children (due to the fact that they're short staffed because teachers constantly resign or call off), and everyday that I ask my children what had they learned today they respond "I don't know". There's no structure. No stability. And terrible management! I've never been the parent comfortable with switching my children's school but finally coming to the decision of removing my kids from this facility has put me more at ease. Oh and the new director and assistant director have no type of communication with one another. One will tell you one thing, and the other will tell you another thing. To learn that we're not the only family removing our children is sad, this isn't what a childcare facility is supposed to be like. read more
