Over several weeks (October-November), our child was injured multiple times by the same child, including bite marks and other physical incidents. Some of these incidents were documented with incident reports, while others were not. We also personally witnessed aggressive behavior on more than one occasion. I understand that incidents can happen at this age; however, in our experience the behavior occurred often enough to significantly impact the classroom environment. From what was communicated to us by staff at the time, these incidents were affecting multiple children, and the classroom teacher was also struggling. While a behavior plan was reportedly in place, the incidents continued. At one point, we observed the classroom teacher in visible emotional distress due to the situation. We do not fault the teacher at all; she appeared to be doing everything she could under extremely difficult circumstances. Our concerns were with how the situation was handled at the administrative level and the lack of effective intervention to ensure safety for everyone in the classroom. After raising concerns, communication was extremely disappointing. Multiple requests for copies of all incident reports involving our child went unanswered. While some documentation was provided, we did not receive all incident reports or redacted information related to our child despite repeated requests. In addition, a confidentiality issue occurred in which our contact with corporate was shared with another parent. This resulted in that parent confronting me on school grounds in a way that felt inappropriate and upsetting. The ongoing situation caused significant emotional distress for our family and ultimately forced us to remove our child and secure alternative care on very short notice, resulting in financial loss and disruption to our work and family life. I'm sharing this so other parents can ask detailed questions about classroom safety, behavior management, documentation practices, and communication before enrolling. Every child deserves a safe environment, and every parent deserves transparency. The silver lining is that our son is now in a different school where he feels safe and supported. He has told us he loves his new school and does not want to return to what he described as the "mean class" at O2B.

Though Victory Academy does not open until this upcoming fall, my tour experience was great! Prior to my tour there, I was in search of an affordable daycare as well as a day school for my 2 and 5 year old to attend. My tour at Victory Academy was subpar, no other Tampa daycare I toured at can compare. The pricing is very affordable and they even offer scholarships that children can apply for. The several rooms at Victory Academy are very neat/organized with desk set up as though class is ready to begin. Their Covid policy along side cleanliest of the Academy assured me that my children will be in an safe environment during a pandemic. My absolute favorite part of the academy is the curriculum, which is infused with Christian teachings. I look forward to enrolling my two children this fall in a safe academic setting as well as a faith filled environment.

This sounds like a lovely school and I'm sure that it is. But, they really ticked me off. I had NO…read moreidea this was a faith-based school by reading about them on their website. In fact, the only reason I found out was because I went to look up their curriculum after I scheduled a tour. The Google description, underneath the website link, had a tiny little piece of info that let me know they were faith-based. I went and searched on EVERY SINGLE PAGE from their website for words that would let me know they were faith-based and found absolutely nothing. I don't write this because I have something against religions. I don't and I hold fast to my own. What I take issue with is purposefully hiding a religious agenda in order to rope people in and proselatize. That is unethical and misleading to a prospective parent. Something that BIG should be talked about on the 'home' page and 'about' page of their website at the very least. How did I confirm what I learned? Because I sent an email to the administrative office and they confirmed that prayer is taught throughout the day and that children attend chapel weekly. There is nothing wrong with doing those things. It's probably a wonderful, spiritual guide for a child who's family wants them brought up in that faith. But if you are faith-based, PLEASE don't hide it. Please be very clear about it so that the people you serve can find you and the people you don't can search elsewhere.

My oldest graduated from the pre-k program two years ago and my youngest graduates this May. We have made so many wonderful memories at Goddard over the past five years and I have so many positive comments about this amazing school! The three-story building is absolutely stunning!!! Each floor has their own private outdoor playground and the second and third floor have indoor gyms that are used for recess, book fairs, and special events. I feel that it is so crucial to have an indoor play space for inclement weather and am grateful that the children are able to play and exercise every day. The clean and modern classrooms are stocked with the newest toys, books, and learning materials. Each preschool teacher is provided with flatscreen televisions so that they can utilize educational videos that relate to the weekly lessons. My son's class just finished learning the alphabet and now is working on sight words so he will be ready to succeed in kindergarten. We have had so many kind and caring teachers over the past five years including Ms. Jasmine, Ms. Lindsay, Ms. Shinese, Ms. Brenda, Ms. Liza and Ms. Trish. These teachers have made my sons into smart, sweet, and respectful little boys! While there has been some turnover in teachers, it has only been the teacher's assistants and not the main teachers of the classrooms. During the transition the school has done an amazing job of filling any open spots with the students' previous teachers and teacher assistants so that the children are always surrounded by a familiar face. We are going to miss so many teachers and staff members who we have gotten to know over the past five years. I will also miss so many of the Goddard's annual events, including: Parent's Night Out (because all parents deserve a date night or night off!), lunch with your littles, Family Food Truck Fridays, Trunk-or-Treat, splash Fridays during the summer, the annual Jack Hartmann concerts, and the annual Easter Egg Hunt.

I am attaching this email to show the seriousness of a short lived time for our daughter at this school. We were on a multi year wait list to get in and were excited to open a new chapter for our daughter. For them to say, "Our programs are designed to nurture each child's curiosity in a safe and caring environment." really doesn't sound accurate to me. If you want to respond to this review, you can keep your corporate 1-800 # because we have learned to not trust Goddard. Sometimes changing a policy isn't a bad thing. We are relieved to have found a place of care where they actually understand what the words "nurturing and safe" truly mean.

There was even the sign of the bride and groom which confirmed we were going the correct way. There was a gender neutral single bathroom in the hallway to the nave. This was my first catholic wedding ceremony and it was beautiful. There were readings and songs. My favorite part was when the priest shared some advice, guidance, and prayers for the married couple. He was very welcoming, kind, and encouraging. It was a great ceremony.
