This free museum is filled with old fire trucks dating back to an 1834 hand pumper. A must see for young and old, and each fire truck has a print out, which is free, for one to take home and explains all about the particular vehicle.... I was so impressed. They can really exercise with them :) It gets funnier by the middle of the pool with them :) Perfect depth to swim :) Clean water. Kids can also have some fun by the playground or sandpit! It has lots of toys inside it. They have to work a bit to get them out. I wish parks and Rec could have them out most of the time. At the same time is a good way to preserve them? :D Restrooms are just a few steps by the pool :) Don't forget not to run by the pool. Parking was easy this time just infront of the wading pool by a shade :) Cars coming both ways in narrow streets.

This is located 1 block west of Queen Anne Ave N on top of the hill and the building south of McClure Middle (Jr. High when I went) School and is easily mistaken as part of the school. I learned soccer at the play field, Little League Baseball, and basketball in the gym. I learned to swim next door at the QA Aquatic Center. There is an outdoor playground, 3 baseball diamonds, and playfields (soccer usually). Locals call the playfield "Big Howe" although there is a sign on QACC that says "West Queen Anne Field House." Anybody who lives on QA that hasn't used QACC didn't grow up here. Lots of activities for all ages from toddlers to seniors. They have art classes, exercise, dance, martial arts, serve meals, etc... My kid attends the Fresh Air Preschool here and the Director has a Montessori certificate. 1 teacher per eight students and it's very affordable. They have MWF or TuTh. If they had a hotel here the Village People would've made a song: "It's fun to play at the QACC!"

They also have a room full of toys, huge play kitchen, puzzles, tumble mats and more. Fresh Air Preschool is the best - you can choose 2 days/week, 3 days/week, or 5 days/week. Very affordable and the teacher is Montessori certified. Both of my kids attended and loved it there - she does a fantastic job with social, emotional, and cognitive learning. School age care is also fantastic. They always seem to pack in so many activities for the kids and make it all look so effortless. We were usually pulling our son away when it was time to go. The adult pottery class is a must try - huge room to work in, lots of wheels, tools, etc. Best part is you can use the room ANY TIME the community center is open while taking classes. The weight room is also open any time and offers drop in or a low monthly fee. This place is a must if you live near!

It features several highly detailed, themed rooms, and each creative area has plenty to keep a little one busy. It's on the bottom floor of the Armory building -- make sure you take the main elevator in the center of the food court, not the side elevators, or you'll end up wandering around confused. Once you're inside, though, it's fantastic. There are tons of activities and play areas, and plenty of seating scattered throughout so parents can actually sit down while the kids explore. My 18-month-old had an absolute blast, and even two hours wasn't enough time to cover everything at her pace before nap time. The changing rooms and stations are clean and well-maintained, and there are designated snacking areas too. My biggest complaint -- and the reason I don't get a membership -- is the parking situation. It's a mess. There are lots of different parking lots around Seattle Center, but they're expensive, and most involve a long walk if you're hauling strollers and kids. If they ever fix that, this place would be perfect. It does get busy, especially on rainy days but it's so big and spacious that it didn't feel too crowded on a Tuesday morning.

There is no giant parking lot like their is at the Poplar location. I'd say the punch packs and memberships are on the expensive side but it works at all the locations (there is a new one in U District I haven't been too!). I usually get the 10-punch pass for almost $300 after tax.

I climbed for ~2 hours and never got bored. It has large bouldering area and multiple walls. The routes were creative and kept me intrigued. The falls are safe on their cushion mat. To their credit, the front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the facility does offer food, drinks, private party rooms, and a seating area for parents. That said, the overall cleanliness and condition of the play area were very disappointing. The seating area floors were dirty, with leftover food and trash. The playground itself felt unsafe and poorly maintained there was a large pile of shoes at the entrance that children had to dodge while running in and out. Inside, the space was dark and gloomy, lit only by some string lights. Several play features were broken: only half of the ball shooter guns were working, and a touchscreen game area was completely non-functional. When we asked about it, staff told us their "tech person" was busy cooking in the kitchen and would fix it later. The unisex bathroom was in unacceptable condition filthy floors, trash on the ground, and an unflushed toilet. Parking is also inconvenient, as you'll need to find street parking or a nearby structure. I'm not sure if we happened to visit on an especially busy day or if the facility is regularly run this way, but the lack of cleanliness, broken equipment, and unsafe setup made it a very disappointing experience.

The 1 year old did fine in the toddler area and found things she liked to climb over. The older child absolutely loved climbing up and down the stairs and playing with the balls that you can launch. The play area was a little dark in some spaces and some parents would allow their kids to run around with no supervision. I would definitely recommend keeping an eye on the child you are with when they are playing. The food is nothing special, but for kids it's pretty standard pizza and fries. There's usually one person working the front desk, so it might take a minute for your order to be completed.

This thing towers in comparison to most playgrounds. Beware- it's not your average climbing structure. Make sure to help your kids or watch them closely. Some other parts of the play area seemed broken, like a musical-type plaything, and a weird pit with gravel in it that seemed unfinished. These didn't really impact our experience too much though. Overall, a very cool playground in a safe and clean area. Lots of do around Seattle Center too, so you'll be busy before, during, and after your visit to Artists at Play!

The museum Nextdoor has a cafe on the lower level where you can get drinks, food, and use the bathroom. The armory is also not too far away.
