Kind of neutral on my feelings with this office and visit. First time we are here and while nurses were trying to be nice; their customer service isn't the best. Front desk girl is very dry and always seemed too busy for you. The dr prescribed medications but didn't even tell us what it was or explained anything about it. Huge lack of communication; odd demeanor. Definitely come with specific questions and make sure you know what you want, bc it seems like not too much direction.

Saturday, March 14 2026 I'm writing this on behalf of my…read moremother, as a nurse who would never go to a HCA hospital as an employee. "To start off, I had to wait 4 days for gallbladder surgery, when it usually takes 1-2 days at most. I had to wait in an emergency room hallway for hours after having a crisis. I was given pain medications in a tiny crowded hallway until about 6pm. Then after my procedure I encountered Nurse Nytesha HATLEY-STRIBLING post procedure. I will be reporting her to the board of nursing as well. I added a photo of her digging in the trash looking for the narcotic that she may or may not have given me. At 8:30p Medication was administered after my surgery, she had an attitude after our first encounter, because of a miscommunication on their end, regarding my discharge date. I was informed that the doctor would be contacted to confirm the appropriate dosage. At 11:30p was told that the doctor had still not been contacted, as the nurse was occupied assisting a dialysis patient in a rude tone . The interaction felt dismissive, as if my concerns were an inconvenience. I experienced significant pain and was unable to sleep. I reported this to the charge nurse after my nurse still hadn't given me my next dose of medication or contacted the doctor. The next dose of medication, which was scheduled for 12:30 AM, was not administered until approximately 1:54 AM When the nurse arrived, she banged on the door but did not communicate, turn on the lights, or provide any explanation regarding the medication. She was ignoring me after I contacted the other nurse regarding my care. This was after telling her that the morphine was not working and she was supposed to contact the doctor. So I still don't know what medication I received. On a separate visit she stated that the delay occurred because she was assisting a patient in crisis. A narcotic medication was administered at approximately 6:00 AM; however, it was not recorded in the system according to the dayshift nurse that arrived. Subsequently, the next nurse prepared to administer another dose of narcotic medication at 8:00 AM because there was no record of the earlier dose. I informed her that the previous nurse had documented it on the board. But it wasn't anywhere else in the system. Later, the same nurse entered the room and was observed searching through the trash in her regular clothes after she was disrespectful the entire night". Do not send any of your family members here.

Cornerstone Medical and in particular that of Shawna King is one of the worst medical practices I…read morehave ever had the misfortune to go to. I have multiple medical issues yet consistently get dumped off to a PA not an MD. The entire staff is rather rude and in my opinion incompetent. The latest issue was a sever infection I developed that required immediate care -- they couldn't book me for a week.. -- to see a PA.... Moreover I truly think their only concern is it to get my insurance and the co-pay-- That to them is the only criterion for a 'succesful outcome'. I know that FL is known as 'God's waiting room' and I'm a senior so yeh they don't care if I live or die -- as long as they get their co-pay and can process my insurance.

I have been going to Cornerstone over 10 to 15 years. I was always pleased with Dr. Zumpano, but…read morewhen we moved to the Sun City Center area, we switched to the Sun City office. I have had several issues with appointments with Dr King. The latest has been that my appointment was cancelled three times. After I was cancelled twice, I was admitted to a hospital and was glad I already had a rescheduled appointment 5 days after my discharge with Dr King. This appointment was cancelled. The explanation was that Medicare requires a post hospital appointment to go over meds and Dr King could not do it because it takes time. So my appointment with a PA is now an additional 5 days later and the appointment with Dr King is now 2 weeks later. Considering I had been already cancelled twice, it would seem that the doctor could see me and deal with the extra few minutes. Being a senior citizen, it would seem it important not to cancel my appointment a third time after a serious hospital stay.

Very Disappointing Experience -- Lack of Professionalism and Care…read more There are too many negative things to mention, but I'll start with the front desk. The receptionist is consistently rude, and the music in the lobby is so loud that it's difficult to hear or communicate. It feels very unprofessional, especially with the TV also playing information about procedures and products -- the two competing noises make the environment unpleasant. Every time I've come in, the music seems even louder. When I first saw the doctor, he mentioned that the VA sends too much information to read through, which was concerning. I explained my symptoms, and he told me to come back for injections. A few days later, I returned and was given two injections -- but it turns out they were done in the wrong area, as confirmed by my VA doctor after reviewing the referral and MRI. The VA doctor clarified that the injections I received were not what he had referred me for. When I brought the correct documentation back to Apollo Pain Management, the doctor seemed visibly irritated. During that visit, he performed the requested injections but did not use lidocaine or any numbing agent beforehand. His demeanor made me feel as if I had done something wrong, which added unnecessary stress to an already painful situation. At my follow-up visit, the experience was much the same -- rude front desk staff, loud music, and a doctor who did not review my MRI or referral. When I mentioned that I didn't get the expected relief, he implied it was my fault and refused to perform further injections in the areas requested by my referring doctor. I will not be returning to this location. The environment is unwelcoming, and if the physician cannot take the time to review a referral or MRI, it's hard to trust the quality of care being provided. On a positive note, the PA and the male nurse were both very professional, courteous, and caring. They were the only bright spots in this entire experience.
