I've been to TGH Urgent Care three times. Unfortunately, my overall experience has been disappointing. During my first visit, the front desk staff wasn't friendly at all. While the medical staff was fine on my first two visits, the customer service at the front desk left a poor first impression. My last visit was the worst. The check-in process felt very unfair. After checking in at the kiosk, patients are called to the front desk to provide their insurance card and ID. My family and I had already checked in, yet two people who arrived after us were called before we were. It didn't seem like the staff was following a first-come, first-served process. The medical staff was also disappointing during my last visit. We explained our symptoms and concerns, and the provider performed a strep test. When she returned with the negative result, her attitude became very rude and passive-aggressive. It felt as though she was frustrated that the test was negative, and instead of discussing what might be causing the symptoms or what the next steps should be, the interaction felt dismissive and unpleasant. I understand that healthcare workers have busy and stressful days, but patients deserve to be treated with respect and professionalism. Unfortunately, between the unfriendly front desk staff, the disorganized check-in process, and the rude interaction during my last visit, I don't feel confident returning or recommending this location. read more

Unfortunately, since it is impossible to get an appointment as a patient, with your primary physician at TGH, we are forced to use the TGH Urgent Care office. Luckily it is in the same building as TGH, how convenient for TGH. Anyway, if I need to see a doctor this is where I go. The doctors have been knowledgeable and caring whenever I have gone there. I have never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes to be seen, but I am sure it depends on when you go. TGH do better for your patients! read more

Went in bc I had no voice, throat felt like swallowing glass shards, terrible cough, discolored phlegm, a fever and shortness of breath. They test for flu and covid only, both negative. They however told me that they are not testing for strep? Dont know why they just wouldnt. I got prescribed a cough suppressant that quite literally did nothing more than mucinex and honestly the mucinex is better. Next day my tonsils are swollen with white stuff surrounding them so i call the clinic back just to be told that i would have to come in for a reevaluation.... So come in pay $250 for you to see me and do what you should have done yesterday? BS!!!! Dont waste your time or money coming to this practice. read more

I ended up with pneumonia and although I went 4a X-ray and received medication over 2-3 days, I didn't not receive a breathing treatment. They provide this service, but didn't give someone who is having trouble breathing, wheezing and dizziness from coughing so much. Plus, when I originally called about chest X-ray results, they said it was fine Then, they called me back in the evening because of fluid in my lung and called in additional pneumonia medication after 2 days. We've been to this location 4 times for myself and sick kids. Each time is pretty much the same experience telling me that I need to find a new urgent care to go to. The front staff, being the first people you see, don't seem to be happy and as a result are not always the most polite to work with. The receptionist today had her ear buds in and her phone sitting on the desk that kept distracting her. We had a 10:15 appointment and we sat in the lobby for almost 2 hours. It really didn't seem that busy. The care is fine once you make it through frustration one and two listed above. They open at 8am. I called to check in on route. I Arrived at 8:15, it is now 11am. Approximately only 5 people have been called to the back. at no point did they offer how many people were in front of me before I had to ask. It's not even busy. But their lack of urgency or decency with the waiting customers puts their claim of urgent care or fast track to shame. read more

We moved to FL from out of state and had to get a physical for our son to start school here. After waiting for over an hour to be seen even though we had an appointment we were called in for the physical that Cody McMillan did for my son. She was advised that our son who has a peanut allergy needs a new EpiPen. We also said he had bad asthma and needed Albuterol for his nebulizer. This lady refused to sign a prescription for either and said if we wanted a prescription for that then we would have to go back into the waiting room and book another appointment with the walk in clinic and pay another co-pay. That speaks volumes on the type of person she is and the real reason that she's in the medical field. I would never trust a place like this that obviously only cares about money. read more

We waited two days to be seen by a physician. The service the first day was extremely and painfully slow. They only use one physician and apparently some are more efficient than others. After waiting four hours we had to leave. The receptionist transferred us to the next day. We showed up 20min before they opened and it still wasn't early enough because there were four people ahead of us. We thought we would get priority because we waited the day before but no, we had to wait for the previous three people. The service is awful and it's certainly NOT URGENT care. read more

16 hours ago I went to urgent care 9/27/2020 early Sunday morning with a injured hand thumb . The Receptionist was rude and unprofessional . Yes I can't fill out the endless forms because my hand is swollen and has something wrong . Sparkle wasn't happy about that and I'm the only person there . I get put in a very cold room in the back and wait for a long time . A older women dr comes in I tell her the story of what happened etc . I get a X-ray she says I have Arthritis and maybe a infection ????? Recommends I follow up with a hand specialist . I was there for long time and had to run home tired cold etc . The X-ray wasn't ready on disk . I call the sparkle the front desk person and ask her to send my X-ray via email . She incorrectly informs me that she can't because it's Illegal it's against hipaa as laws . It's not . I get a appointment with a hand Specialist at a brand new facility. They put the disc in their brand new computer system and tell me there's nothing on it, priceless. So I pay them for a new X-ray . They also before X-ray inform my that my tendon is cut off in my thumb and has retracted down into my arm emergency surgery required .I did post about this before and got some response about how it's illegal for them to send me my x-ray and email. As with other PHI in a designated record set, the individual has a right to access the information in the form and format she requests, as long as the covered entity can readily produce it in that form and format. See 45 CFR 164.524(c). The large file size of some x-rays or other images may impact the mechanism for access (e.g., the format agreed upon by the individual and the covered entity must accommodate the file size). Since 02/27/2021 I have spoken with thirteen representatives (names available upon request) to resolve bill I received from Fast Track Urgent Care Center ("FAST TRACK"). According to FAST TTRACK I owed $35.00 and was unresolved due to my insurance company was not doing their job. After several calls to FAST TRACK and my insurance, I learned FAST TRACK used an incorrect procedure code titled "Urgent Care Flat Fee rather than for a drive through COVID-19 test in preparation for surgery. To date, FAST TRACK will do nothing to resolve this issue and still claims my insurance company and I are wrong. I have never walked into the Carrollwood location and hope find a resolution soon. I strongly suggest to all, do not use this company, they refuse to work with you, admit they made an error and demand money they are not entitled to. read more

Tall, slender male nurse practitioner walked in ready to argue with me. Didn't want to perform a rapid COVID test on my son to return to school, stating it was their "policy". When I made the appointment - my request was heard without question. But when in the office with the nurse practitioner it was a HUGE problem. I asked to see this "policy" but it was never found. When I tried leaving the office because he wasn't going to perform test that I set appointment for. He literally started yelling at me and chasing me around the office despite me trying to get him away from me. Very pompous, unprofessional and creepy. He never even talked to my son or tried figuring out what was going on. Just wanted to argue. read more

I came in with a swollen arm from a fall. After X-rays, the radiologist confirmed there was NO fracture to my arm. However, the physicians assistant came into the room and told me "there's no fracture, but I don't trust the radiologists. They're lazy and don't know how to do their job. I just don't like them!" The nurse in the room tried to calm her down and I was just super confused. Next thing I know the PA is casting my arm and I asked her why are we doing this since there is no fracture? She proceeded to tell me it was because she doesn't like the radiologist and had shown her personal bias. When I went to the orthopedic he informed me that the cast the PA insisted to put on my arm actually did more damage then aid. The medical director of this facility is aware of the situation but is defending her PA saying her choice to cast my arm was in an abundance of care. Abundance of care means to avoid a risk. There was no risk identified by radiological exam. She actually created a risk. The PA is supposed to do no harm under her license. Her choice did not improve my outcome but was a negative effect. The medical director did not acknowledge the PA's personal bias and attitude and did not credit the radiologist for properly diagnosing my arm. Both the physician assistant and medical director of this facility were no help at all. Don't go here, it was a terrible experience! read more

I went into the urgent care with my baby for a strep culture, and I asked the front desk 2 questions 1) can I be out in half an hour? (was in a crazy rush) 2) do you take my child's insurance? on both the answer was yes. After waiting for over an hour there they took the culture (the doctor was nervous and screaming on us the entire time). But they never sent the prescription to the pharmacy, so I basically had nothing from the visit. after a few months I got a bill for $650 for the culture (which is an insane price for a strep culture), so I called my insurance and they told me "There's no way they didn't know that we don't cover urgent care in FL. They simply lied to you when they said that it covers it" So, I called back the urgent care's billing department, and instead of listening she just told me "I'm not going to argue with you, I'm sending it over to collections" and she hung up the phone on me! read more
