Because honestly, I wish it was a five-star review. So close! First, the service is 100 percent a five-star review. Such friendly happy staff. Everyone is smiling and you can tell happy to be there. I haven't experienced a workplace environment like this in a long time. Maybe because the view is outstanding. Right on the waterfront, outside, plenty of room, air flowing freely, and just stunning. The ambiance is of joy and happiness to be there. The food left a little bit to be desired. So I will use a rating system I don't usually use in my reviews. Half a dozen raw oysters, 8/10, should have ordered the grilled oysters that I was originally craving. bread and butter, 7/10, surprisingly the butter had little flavor despite its vibrant orange color. Real butter with salt would have been better. Seafood chowder with clams and shrimp, 10/10. My favorite of the three items I ordered this was the most delicious. But the experience is so amazing! And I will absolutely be back. And next time I might reserve a wood triangle because it is probably a really fun spot to sit on a cold day snuggled up with a blanket and a bowl of seafood chowder. There is a small food truck frying up French fries, oysters and making more items. You order there separately and sit in the area up front closer to the street side of the restaurant. I noticed families bringing fried goodies back to their wood tent style tables. Those tables need to be reserved in advance. They do have walk in tables which are communal. I sat at one of those as a solo diner. I noticed several of the special tables open though and I believe you can walk in for those. I believe they cost $75 and include a dozen raw and dozen grilled oysters and have a time limit. That's all I got! Enjoy life and treat yourself! SYOY!

The candied salmon and smoked salmon are fantastic. But, the one thing I grab every time I'm at the Ruston Marketplace is his salmon dip. It's like salmon crack. Next time you need a side of salmon for the grill hit up Tristan and see what's available. Grab some dip to munch on while you're grilling. You won't be disappointed. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, many of the commercial fisheries who normally supply large…read morequantities of seafood to restaurants and other large headcount events/venues type of commercial sales are finding themselves with too much product and not enough customers. Companies such as Washington State Seafood located in Seabeck, WA over by the coast far away from the typical more populated cities in the Puget Sound have gotten creative with their selling methods. Off to the social media they went! In my case, I discovered them via an ad in Facebook. To facilitate distribution, WSS sets up different distribution "pick up" locations throughout the West Coast, primarily around state of WA, but recently extended to CA also. They also have mailing options too. The menus vary by date, pick up vs. mailing, depending on the availability and viable logistics. Thus far, I have had generic "shooters" oysters (that was the name on the website) and most recently had the Samish Pearls. I also placed an order for Purple Mountain shooters at a super duper deal of only $7.50 for a dozen! It's labeled as a 2 hour Bonus buy on the website. Score! The pickup process is very easy. Go to the location they identify (not always the same but somewhere in Seattle), give them your order number (name works too but they prefer the order number), they hand you the oysters in those stretchy mesh bags commonly used for seafood. You should bring a cooler or anything with an ice pack with you. At home, we use a shucking knife. Watch YouTube and learning to shuck to optimize your oyster eating experience. The most optimal way to shuck, we learned, is to wiggle the knife deep from one end to the next before lifting - preserving the briny water as much as possible! The taste - my oh my - it's SO FRESH! You're tasting the sea (in a good way) with every slurp of an oyster. Side note: We're simple when it comes to sauce, a squirt of fresh lemon juice and a squirt of tabasco sauce.

Oysters are super fresh, juicy, and plump. We asked for a dozen of the medium but I would classify them as large! So generous. They pack it nicely clean in a box for you with dry ice for your trip. All you gotta do when you get home is give them a good rinse. Please note, this is a facility, farm, processing plant, etc. Therefore, it's wet and nitty gritty. Which is how it should be. Just something to expect. You're in and out, done. Loved it. Would totally return. You're getting an awesome product from the source!

I went thru the wrong self checkout but the checker who was monitoring things stepped in to help me (first customer service help). Apparently my card went through and then went again when the checker helped me. I caught it when going through my checkbook. I called QFC and Carl the manager who was busy out in the store took time to return to his office and explain how to contact the corporate office to fix the problem. After the corporate call it was back to Carl who wrapped things up and in two days the money was returned to my bank account. So not only does QFC have great donuts they have employees at checker position and manager willing to help customers. And one more thing, the store is always super clean and products displayed so well. Great store and great people.

That's money that you guys just lost out on. It's not the gas attendants fault it's the corporation. Safeway will gladly take my change without complaining, they always comment about how there's a coin shortage, and people like me are making sure the coins make it back into circulation :-)
