Do not use this company! They installed my fence on a Thursday. The next Monday when my sprinkler system came on (run by HOA) a flood of water came bubbling up right under one of the post they dug. See attached picture. They would not even come to look at it and claimed no responsibility, when it's obvious that it was done by them. Regardless of what's in the contract you would think they would stand behind their company name, reputation, installers etc. I can't believe any company would treat their customers this way.Also they told me they use nice heavy quality fencing, I should have asked to see a sample because the aluminum used is very thin and I would not have chosen them if o saw and felt the actual product, very flimsy compared to a neighbor of mine. DO NOT WALK...run away from this company! The LAST company you should EVER use for fencing....VERY poor workmanship and absolutely no customer service or standing but their shoddy work. I had a fence installed by these folks perhaps 6 or 7 years again and it had some problems that they came back to fix. After Ian the fence was destroyed and they installed a new one using portion of the old fence as well. Something clearly changed. First was the pricing. They charge more that they originally did for the entire fence to replace maybe 2/3 of it. I know prices go up, but not like that... Than the job was terrible from day one. They left rocks throughout my lawn, the. The fence started falling apart. Double gate pieces falling off, sections separating, gaps in the PVC "boards." Requests to fix this $8,700 shoddy fence installation fall on deaf ears. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR. Don't call this joke of a company. They will overcharge and never stand behind their work. read more

A year and a half ago I gave this company a 5 star review. They came through for me, my fence was beautiful. I say was. Sadly it is rusting a year and a half later and they will not stand by it. They say their chain link fencing have a year warranty. The posts are rusting the caps are discolored, the fencing is discoloring. The fence they replaced was 30 yrs old and only the poles were rusted. I don't live on water, nor do I have a sprinkler hitting it. My neighbors have privacy fencing so their sprinklers do not hit, only rain hits. This should never happen. Stay away from them read more

I heard about Sunstate fence , by one of our friends after looking and searching for so many other companies. I called I made an appointment for a quote and it was fast and convenient to me. The gentleman's that came over to do the installation were awesome their names were Johnny and Jeremy they did an excellent job they were very professional, and knew what they were doing . They communicated every step of the process. I also wanted to say thank to Saily she is the admin at the office she was very helpful throughout the process. Sunstate installed 4 foot aluminum fence for our backyard. The crew did a great job in all phases of the work. The finished product looks great and the gates are very easy to open and close automatically. Overall a fantastic experience. read more

I paid this company for the deposit (18) months ago for the fence and was gave the run a around saying it was Lee County permit office to come fine out it was the office people at Sunstate Fence not supplying Lee county the correct information finally they got a gentlemen name Joe working in there office and he jumped on it and got the permit for the installation of the fence and we finally got a install date and the installation team showed up and installed the fence and did a very terrible install and had to come back and take most of the fence back down and rework and left me with a mess and sad i would need to get the roots out of there way and then they came back and got it installed right now they want the rest off the payment be for the final inspection by Lee County was done and i sad i will not pay the remaining balance till i see the final inspection passed they still sad they will not call the inspection in to Lee County till i pay the final invoice so we will see how this comes out when the inspector gets there and gives his report i am not paying anything more tell it pass the inspection. read more

Shame on you Sunstate Fence!!! You installed my existing wood fence after Hurricane Irma in April 2018 and did a great job. Total job $1963.66. Now Hurricane Ian landed a tree limb from the neighbors yard on my fence and rocked it to a 15 degree slant. I only have 6 posts that need repaired. I called Sunstate on November 29, 2022 to have it repaired. They put me on a waiting list because they were too busy and it would be April before they could get to me. I was fine with waiting and understand there were people more in need. Now April comes and they call to tell me that they are too busy with new fences to do my job. I complained why they didn't call sooner and was told they have a minimum charge of $1200 to come out if I would like them to do so. They also suggested I get a handyman to do the repair. I also called them previously to give an estimate for my brother-in-law that needed a new fence but was told they were not taking new customers. Since then, he has had his fence installed at a cost of $10,000 and they missed that job. I guess you can't rely on future service from a company even if you have been on the waiting list for 5months and a previous customer. I just wished I had not referred them on my neighborhood Facebook page! I thought I was dealing with a professional company that would service their existing customers. I would not recommend this company to anyone wanting a professional fence put on their property. The only reason we chose them is because we heard good things in our neighborhood. We found out today that they were recently bought out by another company, which is why things weren't so good for us. Keep this in mind when reading reviews. The crew they sent showed up late, & didn't know how to put the posts in a straight line & 5 inches off the property line, like the contract said, so we had to help them get started. There was a major barrier in communication since the crew's boss was the only one who could translate English to the crew, and he was never there when it was needed. The crew left cooked food bones of some kind everywhere for our dogs to find later that night (and for days following.. a huge choking hazard). After they finished installing the fence, we noticed a large hole at the bottom of the fence where it did not reach the ground. The fence also only measured 5'8'. We called them and they gave us the runaround saying they would contact us. They never contacted us. We called them several different times over the span of 3 weeks, with the same result. We also sent them various pictures of the fence that was thoughtlessly built. Someone finally came over to look at the fence, and by the end of the week they sent someone to fix the side where the hole was. The guy who did this work was very nice, professional and understanding. The company itself is horribly unprofessional and obviously does not take any pride in what they do. They barely did a price adjustment at all which nowhere near made up for their gross negligence. We recommend to avoid this company so you can have a better experience and hopefully better fence than we do. read more

I experienced horrendous service from Sunstate Fence. Took much longer than I was told to get permit and materials ordered. When they did show up I asked the installers to please dig carefully so as not to break water lines. Of course 5 minutes later they did just that. Then they will not do repairs. I had to do all that myself. They are so lazy they simply pour dry cement in a shallow hole and pour a little water on it. Of course the posts don't stay in the same place so they leave a brick under the fence and tell it will all be ok. After 1 week neither fence will close or latch. No response when I ask them to come fix their faulty installation. Stay away from these guys. read more

We were looking to fence in our side yard in Fort Myers Beach and contacted Sunstate Fence. The representative showed up when he said he would, gave an estimate on the spot, and indicated it would be installed in a month. Spot on. Then Jared and Gonzalo showed up to do the job, and they were terrific. The fence is straight and the gates square, unlike a lot of other fences around that I have seen. I suspect that I could have saved a few dollars shopping the job around, but it would not have been worth it. If you want a quality job without any headaches, this is the place to go. read more
