I asked for a sample of a dark beer and he handed me a full pint glass, then used the same glass for the actual pour. A little odd, a little funny, but somehow it fits the vibe here. It's not corporate, not scripted just a real local bar doing things their own way. The energy easy, and the beer solid. If you're looking for a polished taproom, this isn't it. But if you want a laid back spot with character and no pretense, Mack House has its own charm.
