This wasn't just good soup... this was comfort. Rich, flavorful broth, tender pieces of chicken, perfectly cooked noodles -- the kind of soup that instantly takes you back to your childhood kitchen. Honestly, if I didn't know better, I would've sworn my mom was the one cooking. It's hands-down the best chicken noodle soup I've had in a very long time. The only thing missing? A couple of matzo balls -- and then it would've been absolute perfection If you see this soup on the menu, order it. No hesitation. If you know, you know.

Love the true pub feel with their decor and the staff in kilts is a nice touch for the immerse feeling of a true pub overseas. All the staff we encountered were very professional and provided great service. They offer great happy hour and the food is good as I've never been disappointed. They have a variety of drinks with beers on tap, bottles and a full bar. Love their live entertainment with the dj spinning great tunes. Plenty of TVs to view any sports game. The Pub is versatile to fit your entertainment needs whether it's a family night out, date night, to enjoy a great meal, stop by for a drink or two, come for the music, or immerse yourself with other fans for a sports game. You'll have a great time regardless!

Even though it is a freestanding restaurant, I am told that it can be difficult to find a spot. The venue offers live music on weekend evenings, but we finished eating before it began and were too tired to stay. The restaurant oozes the Irish pub decor and theme. Our waiter, Jordan, was exceptionally friendly and jovial. And he was a master at suggesting alcoholic beverages, once you let him know your likes. We had 2 orders of Irish potato soup, 2 Shepherd's pies with cheddar cheese, 2 orders of the Guinness beef and mushroom pie, 1 cabbage rolls, and one fish and chips. The soup was filled with bacon bits and creamy and luscious. The Guinness pot pies were a bit small, especially because they were so savory. The accompanying mashed potatoes did not come with gravy and there wasn't enough from the pot pies to cover it. The veggies that came with all the entrees were freshly made and without any seasoning. (But it is better to add salt and pepper than to try and remove it.) The fish was a decent size serving, but again, no real seasoning. Nothing that some salt, pepper, and malt vinegar couldn't rectify. The coating was light and crispy. Our alcoholic beverages (Guinness, wine, and a couple of specialty cocktails) were thirst quenching and satisfying. (I loved my prickly pear margarita.) Dinner for 6, including 2 soups, 6 entrees, 8 drinks, tax, and tip was $300.

The place has live music on Saturdays and is dive bar-ish.  But I can't really describe it as a dive bar because there is no smoking, the bar food is super fresh and delicious and there is craft beer. The theme here is South African and American.  They have some South African food on the menu and South African beer and wine.  I tried one of the South African beers, it was light and some sherry which tasted wonderful. The food is fresh.  I ordered wings extra crispy and they actually got them right... Winning!  Also ordered the fried okra which was super fresh, not too salty like other places, and by far the best fried okra that I have ever had.  It was absolutely phenomenal. Going to try to return again this next weekend to mingle with the regulars.  Hope we get along, because I would really love to make The Angry Warthog a habit. It's 1am on a Wednesday night, we're starving after a long flight from San Antonio, and most places are shutting down. Enter Geronimo's Grill & Bar. At first glance, it's got that divey, don't-overthink-it look...but trust me, it grows on you fast. We got lucky snagging two seats at the bar, and right away the place felt welcoming. True neighborhood energy. Quick note for the sound guys: the music was a little harsh and spacey; speakers mounted against a boxy enclosure (probably housing electrical). Some insulation or soundproofing would clean that crackle right up. Okay... nerd moment over. Beer situation: * Modelo on draft * One with Tajín & lime, one plain * Both served ice-cold in pint glasses exactly what the moment called for... The bar staff? Friendly, dialed-in, and chill. As the night rolled on, the place slowly came alive...clearly a landing spot for industry folks once everything else closes. Total local watering hole vibes. Now let's talk food...because this is where Geronimo's really shines. We ordered: Potato skins 20 wings (10 buffalo hot, 10 medium) Hands down, some of the best wings we've had on our travels. Open-grilled, then fried to absolute perfection. Not massive wings, but the flavor and cook were on point. Worth every bite. House ranch and bleu cheese were legit too. The potato skins? Perfect balance of cheese and bacon, sour cream on the side...simple and executed right. Then... the curveball. A patron next to us orders a basket of pork rinds. We're intrigued. These come out sprinkled with Tajín, served with a Cajun ranch....and HOLY HELL. Absolute FIRE!!! . Crispy, hot, insanely addictive. I'm already scheming how to recreate these back in San Antonio. Everything hit the table hot, fresh, and timely. By round two, Geronimo's felt like home base--that bar you can count on when it's late, you're hungry, and everywhere else is dark. Bottom line: Looks sketchy? Don't overthink it. Come for the ice-cold beer, stay for the fried wings, and let the night take care of itself. Cool little spot. Solid locals bar. Wings alone are worth the stop. We definitely want to come back! Thank you Geronimos!

The ambiance was really solid and the service was great. Our server was friendly and gave some good recommendations. For food, I ordered the birria quesadilla and the Voodoo Cajun pasta with chicken and shrimp. Both were really good, but the Voodoo Cajun pasta was definitely my favorite. It had a nice Cajun kick and the chicken and shrimp combo worked perfectly together. Super flavorful and honestly one of the better pasta dishes I've had at a place like this. The birria quesadilla was also really good crispy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. I also tried two beers that were recommended, including an IPA, and both were great choices. If you're into beer, they obviously have a huge selection so it's a good place to try something new. Overall, great food, great drinks, great service, and a really good atmosphere. I'd definitely come back.

World of Beer 1 star…read moreand that's only because the servers were kind. I stopped by World of Beer yesterday and honestly... it was a disappointment from start to finish. The girls working the floor were friendly and doing their best, but the problems here go way beyond them. This feels like a corporate issue, not a staff issue. The food was cooked in seed oils, which already kills the quality and flavor. You can taste the heaviness and the cheapness. For a place that markets itself as a craft‑beer spot with elevated bar food, that's unacceptable. Then the check came and that's where it got worse. Corporate is nickel and diming customers with extra charges, little add‑ons that don't go to the servers and don't improve the experience. It feels sneaky, and it leaves a bad taste in your mouth before you even walk out. The staff is paying the price for decisions they didn't make. They're trying to be nice, but the system they're working under is broken. Overall: Good people, terrible corporate practices, low quality cooking oils, and a bill padded with nonsense. Not worth it.
