As someone who genuinely loves the sport of pool and grew up in billiard halls in South Florida, I NEVER imagined I would leave one feeling the way I did. I came to The Billiard Club expecting a great night of pool. Instead I spent approximately 30 minutes dealing with a disruptive individual playing next to us whose behavior continued to escalate. Once I saw the disruption affecting other patrons and people beginning to move away from the area I gave management a heads up because I believed the situation had reached the point where it needed to be professionally handled. Unfortunately that didn't happen. The situation continued to escalate until it eventually turned into one of the most humiliating experiences I've ever had in a business. I left feeling publicly ridiculed completely unsupported and most importantly UNSAFE as the disruptive person I warned them about, attacked me. Jason the bartender "manager" eventually became involved but from my perspective & anyone else who witnessed it, nothing about his response de-escalated the situation. If anything the environment became even MORE chaotic because of him. In a business built around hospitality and customer experience I expected leadership that knew how to calm a situation...NOT allow it to continue & also disrupt the tournament that was taking place... super unfair to the players & patrons in general who came to have a good time. The only people who showed me any sense of kindness or made me feel even remotely safe that night were Shay and Jared. I genuinely appreciated them. I waited 2 weeks before writing this because I wanted to give the business the benefit of the doubt. I had heard from multiple people that if the general manager Michael knew what had happened things would be handled differently So I went back last night... I went back because I'm a pool player and I refused to let 1 terrible experience take away a game I've loved my entire life.. besides being a born & raised local girl. I asked to introduce myself to Michael but that hasn't happened yet. Businesses can't control every customer. They absolutely can control how they respond when a customer warns them that a situation is escalating and other patrons are being affected. No one should ever walk into a pool hall expecting to enjoy the game they love and leave feeling UNSAFE, unsupported and publicly humiliated. I sincerely hope this serves as a wake-up call for management because no customer should have the experience I did. I managed night clubs and restaurants for 15+ years from hole in the walls to high end venues in Broward county & this still takes the cake for worlds worst experience from "management" Shay & Jared are the only ones who have some sense at least.. maybe they should teach the others on staff how to be hospitable. If you live in the area then you have heard of the Billiard club it has been here in Davie for years. I came here for a little pool and to hang with some friends. they have so many tables that we didn't have to wait long the music was rocking and the vibes were cool. if you are hungry they have good old bar food that's decent. one thing that impressed me was is it didn't stink of smoke so i'm thinking it's smoke free which is amazing read more

The Billiard Club is in Davie right near Round Up Nightclub. We came here after going to Round Up and met up with some friends. It was a Friday night so there was a bit of a wait for a pool table. We had a bigger group of 10 and they were able to accommodate us with one table in the back with two couches by it since not all of us were planning to play. The inside is pretty clean and the server came to check on us constantly. We ordered some chicken tenders and fries and it hit the spot after line dancing all night a few doors down. This Billiards Club is one of my favorite hangouts. Because of the following: 1. It is in a plaza with a whole bunch of other things to do: Paragon movie theater, Round Up, Mack House, and even a arcade place. 2. They have a full bar and decent grub. 3. The service has always been good and they have Happy Hour. 4 They have pool tables & a juke box This is a great place for group functions. The place is nice, and the tables are $15 per hour, which is pretty standard, however on two separate occasions i was turned away by the owner because we showed up "too late" to get a table. They advertise a closing time of 2AM or 12AM BUT THIS IS NOT TRUE. they stop accepting new players 1hr and 30mins prior- at least thats what they did to me. I could see other people playing, and adding insult to injury the owner/manager was rude about turning me away, on both occasions. This club just kicked me out with a service dog. The manager "Mike" and his assistant Julio just denied me enter. I came here with my service dog with her service dog vest and was quickly asked to show up aperwork. I explained to the manager that per Ada there are only two questions that he could ask me. 1 is it a service dog and 2 what service does the dog provide. He stated that the dog must be registered. He then explained to me that if I cannot show paperwork that I must leave. I then spoke to Julio, and tried to explain to him. He told me that because I have PTSD, that my dog is automatically an emotional support animal. I explained to him that this is incorrect as my dog has been trained to identify when I am having an anxiety attack. He explained that because of that it is considered an emotional support animal. Per the Americans with disabilities act "Service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Examples of such work or tasks include ... calming a person with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) during an anxiety attack". Additional per the ADA "When it is not obvious what service an animal provides, only limited inquiries are allowed. Staff may ask two questions: (1) is the dog a service animal required because of a disability, and (2) what work or task has the dog been trained to perform. Staff cannot ask about the person's disability, require medical documentation, require a special identification card or training documentation for the dog, or ask that the dog demonstrate its ability to perform the work or task." Here is the reference that both Mike and Julio refused to look at which I provided to them. Additionally, I did record part of the instance sonce Mike and Julio did not want me to remain inside with my service dog, who is leashed, and completely under control. If your priority is maybe to just have drinks and hang out, then I guess it's ok. If you are all about the pool though, it's not great. The tables all have red felt which are a brutal eyesore to shoot on for hours. On top of that, the lights are really yellow which somehow makes it worse. And there's plenty of smoke haze. The balls and felt were worn, and the house cues were very beat up. The table themselves are pretty good, basic gold crowns I think. There were plenty of them. The place probably has an active league scene but I only went once. Seemed to be full of bangers. Most pool rooms are either bars with pool tables, or actual pool halls run by someone who plays and loves pool. I feel like this one is the first type. I don't think a serious player would have set it up with red cloth or allowed the equipment to get so worn and dirty. read more

What a friendly bar scene. I have lived in South Florida for years, I've even lived within 2 miles of this location and had never ventured in. After going to the Round Up last night my friend and I decided we needed to watch the Heat Playoff game and we needed to hear it. We walked in the front door and were immediately greeted (rather excitedly) by the bartender, very very friendly staff. We sat down, we had another bartender come get our drink orders, while we waited the other bartender made sure he got our orders. BEST BAR SERVICE I have had in long time to be quite frank with you. They were on point all night and struck up conversations with us in a very funny and professional manner. It is VERY SMOKEY in here, as they serve no food, you can smoke inside...so be forewarned you will smell like you just stepped out of a Vegas Casino. My shirt this morning definitely needs a wash! The 2 suggestions I have for this place is 1) get better ventilation and 2) pair up w/ the owners next store and offer your patrons Hookah. Great music when the game was over, very friendly patrons (guys actually bought us drinks) and had normal conversations--weren't Creepy McCreppersons. I really enjoyed it!!! And will definnitely go back. PS- I don't play pool so I have no idea about that but there were a lot of people in there playing pool and they have tables for days (I dunno maybe 30) read more

At pretty decent pool hall considering the area. Davie does not have much in terms of upscale, so I think this is one of the better pool halls. Since the weather was nice they had the doors propped open to circulate the fresh air. On hot nights they do not keep the doors open, which is understandable but the cigarette smoke build up gets intense. Pros: Fairly inexpensive (although I'm comparing everything based to Miami prices) Consistently pleasant and attentive staff Ample parking Fully stocked bar (except champagne) Promotional models giving out beer samples Cons: The cigarette smoke can be very thick and hazy (allergies) The bathroom is small and kind of dingy Can get really packed Juke box - Now I know this might seem like a pro, but when you have a diverse crowd controlling the music the vibe isn't coherent. It kind of reminded me of an iPod being on "shuffle" rather then a playlist. In between songs it would sometimes be silent for up to a minute. read more

This is a great place to play pool. The table felt and the sticks aren't the greatest but for a casual night out with a good group of friends, they get the job done. The music here is so eclectic. One minute blues comes out, then rap metal, then pop, then country, then hardcore rap, then rock. It's so trippy but entertaining nonetheless. The only thing they're missing is EDM. Service here is a bit iffy at times, especially if at the back of the hall. You kinda have to flag them down for service. You can get 5 domestic beers for $14 bucks. It can also get a bit smokey at times too so beware for that. But affordable drinks, good music, great company - I'm definitely a fan. read more

I checked out The Billiard Club with a group on a Friday Nite. I was forewarned about how smoke would be everywhere. However, I didn't see or inhale much second hand smoke at all. Perhaps smokers on this night were busy slowly killing other people outside of Davie. Not sure, but I was relieved. Tons of space and tables in this pool hall. We rented two tables at a price tag of $13 an hour for each. I don't play pool too often but the price seemed reasonable enough. I ordered a Long Island Tea for $6 and the glass was a large one. The waitress was efficient with an indifferent attitude, but nothing to really write about further. One plus is The Billiard Club is located right beside Round Up Country NIteclub. So we made a night out of it and kicked up our heels there later (actually just gazed at all the daisy dukes and boots). For a pool hall, The Billiard Club seemed clean and actually welcoming. Happy hour there is until 8pm which we missed. But we all had a nice experience. read more

The Billiard Club is my favorite spot in South Florida to play pool at. I've been visiting for a couple of years now and it really doesn't change much (which is a good thing). Even after they remodeled and got rid of half the place, nothing really changed. The staff here is arguably the best you could hope to find at any joint, and the service hits close to home. You frequent this place enough and they will treat you like family. The drinks are fairly priced and you smokers don't have to go outside. Went here with my wife and some friends. We were having a nice time, playing pool, listening to some blues music, when suddenly the place was filled with rap music spouting foul, misogynistic lyrics. Truly disgusting lyrics. I was embarrassed to even have my wife with me. Call me old fashioned, a prude, whatever, I don't care. Civilized people shouldn't have to listen to that stuff when going out for a nice night of billiards and beer. I approached the manager and he was like, "well, we have an open juke box and don't control what gets played". I responded, "you can certainly control what that juke box has access to" to which he said, "well, I wouldn't want to offend those who enjoy that music...besides, we don't let anyone under 18 in here". This was a lie because I was just watching a kid, maybe 16, playing with his family. Anyways, we're never going back. Nice little spot in a strip mall that is luckily in a great location due to its proximity to Mack House this locale draws on locals who love their pool; but it also provides a lot of fun eye candy to people watch. There were a few lovely lasses who were so.... well... bumptious, I wondered if something was gonna pop right out of their brassiere and slap the table the way they were jumping up in down in their wife beaters. Cute boys who knew their way around with long poles also abounded and best of all was a very friendly group of bartenders who served up some quite nice drinks. If you're looking to play pool this place has great tables. Food is about what you would expect from a bar type setting. They have a decent variety of beer. There are tons of TVs with all sports on. They do allow smoking indoors, so be prepared to take a shower after you leave. Also, they do not allow vaping inside (which I find appalling). read more

Horrible place! This was my first time in here and my last! The bartender that helped me over charged me then was FAKE! He was nice the whole time up until I paid him then he switched into a money grubbing horrible person. Not only that the place smelled horrible of cigarette smoke! The bartenders at this place REALLY ONLY care about your money, they don't care about you at ALL even if they ACT like it. They would leave you dead outside on the sidewalk without a care in the world! Last Night was was having a beer at the bar watching a football game and had about half a beer left. I got up to use the bathroom and when i came back my beer was gone (about 3 minutes later). When i asked the bar tender what had happened he said "i don't know, wasn't me" he then after hearing me complain took a plastic cup filled it with about a inch of beer foam and slid it over and said "Here!" . The bar tender was extremely disrespectful, Why would he throw out my beer and then make it seem as if i was the bad guy for asking what had happened to the beer i paid for and didn't finish. A simple "Our mistake, let me take care of that" or giving me the amount they had thrown out would have been all. read more
