Upon arriving I noticed that it's a family owned shopped with lots of beautiful ethnic pieces. They have clothes from Africa, jewelry, bags, incense, she's butter, mango butter, black soap, and of course... the oils. There's probably some things that I'm missing but everything I listed will most likely catch your eye. One of the owners (the father) was so kind/welcoming and I enjoyed talking with him about a wide array of topics. He was very helpful with helping me find scents and the wife/mother was an absolute delight, she's the one I ended up making my purchase with since she patiently helped me look at waaay more scents lol. I also picked up french clay to use as a mask and I've been really liking it, as well as one soap. My husband made a point to note that the soap I picked up here was his favorite in the house (it's mine too - it's slick and doesn't crack and get gross). I had brought some containers to use and it was a seamless experience since the owner is so kind and easygoing. I loved that I could look at her site beforehand too and kind of think about what to try (like the moisturizer I had scouted out and found out about refilling rose water toner online). I remember reading on the site that the owner tries everything out herself, and I feel like you can really see that in the things you get from here. I'm so grateful to have a store like this nearby that makes sustainable living easier without breaking the bank. She took time before and after each appointment to discuss my issues and questions as well as make recommendations for my skin routine moving forward. I have sensitive, acne prone skin and she helped dissect the different issues that are likely causing acne on the different parts of my face. I've learned a lot from her in the appointments I've had so far. I purchased a 3 visit Groupon for microdermabrasion, which was a great deal. She never made me feel like less of a customer due to my groupon-er status. She actually slightly altered my service based on what she felt my skin really needed. She did not push products on me or pressure me into scheduling future appointments. She has a great online scheduling system which includes confirmation email and reminders two days before an appointment, so helpful for forgetful people like me! She shares an office space with another business, it was tricky for me to find the first visit, so make sure you know where you're going. If you're looking for someone to really help you learn about and improve the long term health of your skin, I highly recommend her.
