I found a great wig at a very reasonable price and the man working there was super helpful. Wig was a combo of real and synthetic hair which I really like because it looks natural. I Bought a fully synthetic wig before I knew about combo of hair in Phoenix and when I got home and tried it on I felt it was way too shiny and looked fake, and the wig had far too much hair for me. The one I got here at Lee's was perfect and reasonably priced. I get so many compliments on my hair. Most of the staff is Very helpful - especially the men. Where do I begin. I'm AA natural and often consider alternative hair styles up to and including braids and weaves. I was referred to Lee's as an alternative to online retailers to see and touch the hair and for products. That's a joke. Their product aisle is just that, one aisle and it's mostly full of relaxers. Fine, I can shop elsewhere for my hair product. The hair quality is mediocre, at best, you're far better off shopping at an online hair retailer or driving to Phoenix. The icing on the cake is the rude, petty and ignorant employee. There's one girl who works there who apparently does nothing but apply copious amounts of bronzer to her cheeks and, presumably, take selfies. She knows nothing about blending, or anything else, and has a horrible attitude. The guy is nicer but I'm fairly sure he's not a native English speaker and wasn't sure how to help. Also FYI, I had to report them to Visa and MasterCard for their illegal credit card policy. Note, they are by law not permitted to have a minimum purchase amount over $10. You CAN use a credit card for less than their absurd minimum of $80. And, if they don't permit it, file a grievance with Visa and MasterCard online. I've also reported them to the Attorney General's consumer office as they collect these violations and can issue fines. If you're here for this, you can call VISA at 1-800-VISA-911 and MasterCard actually has a form you can report them to online! You can always call the number on the back of the card too. I would save my money though. The store was majorly unimpressive unless you're looking for cheap trendy, fake looking hair for Halloween. read more

Beyond amazing. Had to purchase last minute hair due to my stylist blindsiding me with changing her cost in hair. So I went here and oh my gosh. I walk in and was greeted right away. I started walking around browsing not knowing what to look for since I usually buy my hair online. The manager asked if I needed help and I told him. He was showing me high quality hair that was out of my budget. I told him I had 70$ to spend ): What he did was he got me two bundles that were 70$ each on sale originally nearly 100$ a box and charges me exactly 70$ for both! Tax included .. I am so great fun! My mother has cancer, and she she started chemotherapy, her hair loss was quite traumatic for her. She had purchased a couple wigs online, but they were not comfortable enough for her to wear for an extended period of time (and they looked fake as hell as well). So I decided to take my mom wig shopping this year for a Christmas present. Lee's Store was recommended by the cancer center that she is treated at, so that is where we went. My experience with the staff was quite different than the experience it seems some other reviewers had. Multiple staff members helped us out, including the owner. He gave me mom a ton of advice on how to select and care for her wigs. He also showed her less expensive wigs than those she had originally tried out, and they were just as comfortable as the pricey ones. To me it was quite evident that he wanted to make sure she was happy with her purchases without making me spend too much, and I really appreciated that. A quick run down of what to expect if you go wig shopping at Lee's: You can not try on wigs... without a wig cap. This is to protect the wigs, and the customers. Would you really want to buy a wig that a bunch of strangers had worn? Wig caps are free... IF you purchase a wig. If you try a bunch of wigs on and do not make a purchase, there is a fee for the cap. Lace front wigs can not be tried on. They are delicate, and expensive. Lee's Store does not just carry wigs and fake hair. They also have makeup (mostly brands I had never heard of), hair accessories, color contacts, and a huge selection of really inexpensive false eyelashes. I am very pleased with the service we received when shopping at Lee's, and it was great to see my mom looking as happy as she did in her brand new wigs. read more

I needed green contacts for my Halloween costume this year, and my friend needed a wig. He was familiar with Lee's Store, however I had never even heard of it. We have been in here at least once a week for three weeks now, and tonight I finally got my contacts. I have never worn contacts before, either cosmetic or prescription, and I was nervous about buying them, especially since the law passed that they can no longer be sold for cosmetic purposes. I had a million and one questions, most of which I am sure were very silly to anybody who has had contacts before, but the staff there were extremely friendly and helpful. I asked about which brand to get, how to put them on, would they look natural or silly, how to store them; on and on I went! But they answered every one of them thoroughly and happily, and offered me a great deal of advice on things I didn't even know I needed to ask about! I will definitely be back...especially for more green contacts before they run out...as it turns out I look spectacular with green eyes. read more

I previously gave Lee's a 4 rating but I'm updating that and giving it a 3. The reason I'm doing this is because I recently went in there and now they're making you wear masks after being open during the whole quarantine time and not requiring you to wear a mask. I don't understand why the owner implemented the mask thing the CDC said that masks don't do any good and that they may even make you sicker. I don't know if it was pressure from the state or what. I called and I Expressed my disappointment with management, and management told me that The employees didn't like the masks either because they could hardly breathe in them and they are uncomfortable. He also said that I could order online, which I was fine with me because I was not going to wear a mask. He also told me that I could come to the store, park out front and then call and tell them what I wanted and they would bring it to my car. I thought "Oh that sounds really good, but when I got there, they were busy and I called and I told them what I wanted and the girl came out to my car and took my money went back into the store and I waited another 20 minutes for her to bring my product out and to bring me my change. (This was even after the store wasn't busy) They were mad because they were busy and that they had to bring my stuff out to my car. I would never have done that, but the manager was the one that offered it so I did it but the workers were mad and they didn't like it because they were busy so I think they made me wait on purpose. I don't appreciate it one bit. I will not be going back to Lee's. I do spend a lot of money there but I will not be going back I will order online or go to hair club. They give great customer service to SOME people. Not only was I not offered any help as I struggled for a bit making a decision, I saw multiple people come and go be offered assistance right next to me. I was also followed around the store by a female employee. And to top it off the male employee at the checkout wouldn't even make eye contact or say hello even though I heard him greet another guest moments earlier asking if she had been there before and that he could take her information and get her a discount if she was a repeat customer. Went here today 10/19/21 at 1230 the lady working today she is small hispanic possibly. She is has a very rude tone, she told me i needed my covid card to try anything on in a bad tone, then I gave it to her then she had the same nasty tone again im a cancer patient and a doctor looking for a wig sad to have to deal with poor customer service when you are sick. A friend recommend I check the place out because I asked her what type of mascara she used because her lashes always looked so incredible. It turns out she wears fake eyelashes which surprised me because I can usually tell falsies. She told me she gets them at Lee's and that they probably have a hundred different styles & lengths from really natural to long gold & purple ones. I checked it out after work and since I know nothing about fake eyelashes I asked the man working the counter. He probably spent 15 minutes with me answering my questions. And they're so inexpensive if you buy 5 pairs they're $2 each or $2.50 each if you just want fewer. Walgreens $6.50. After I was done picking out my 3 different styles (at $2.50 each you don't have to pick only one) I walked around the rest of the shop. They have probably 1,000 wigs. All colors, lengths and styles. I couldn't believe the prices either. Nice wigs for as little as $10. The most expensive one I seen was only $69. I can't wait for Halloween! read more

To be honest this place is Garbage and they're getting over because it IS the only place in Tucson to buy hair from. They don't even deserve one star!! I purchased some Remy hair, spent over $340 on 2 packs of hair. Turns out, the hair is garbage. So he kindly exchanged it but for the same hair, and guess what. It was garbage too. When I went into the store to ask for a refund and/or store credit. He got defensive and tried to say it was me, not the hair. Tried to insult my intelligence and said that I was getting upset and making a scene. Who wouldn't after they spent all that kind of money on garbage hair!!So I will be seeing them in court now. I will not advise people to go there, but it is the only place in town, unfortunately. Their prices are increased so you are paying for a product that isn't worth the amount you are paying. Let me let you Arizona ladies in on a bit of truth about the hair industry as it relates to weave and hair products. LEES , Waba whatever you want to call it, it is overpriced.. especially for this area. You can look online and get better quality hair for cheaper. You girls think this is reasonable priced because you have nothing to compare it to other than sally's, Well as a professional stylist with over 20 years experience i never buy hair from sally's (product yes - hair no) I have lived in Atlanta, Memphis, Birmingham, Tucson. A pack of good hair(human not top shelf but not bottom) should be 20-25 dollars a pack. Now if you want premium hair such as bobbi boss, goddess, Brazilian etc then prices move way up. I see boxes of hair in lee's on the floor marked "clearance" 39.99 for 2 or 3 packs of hair depending on the color. Other places in this country sell that same hair for 40.00 for two packs anyway. So where is the clearance? The ponytails are outdated, the colors have no real variety. The wigs need to be dusted and restyled...some need to be given away for free because they are horrid. The make up, fingernail polish, accessories are cheap, and old. (look next time on the shelves- a lot of the items are no name and dusty) The products are old. The hair is overpriced. Don't get me wrong - the people are nice enough people. I am used to way better. So I will continue to shop online for weave, and continue to go to sally's for my products. read more

I used to love this store. I have purchased hair extensions there for over 3 years. There were 2 young men who always helped me select and took the time to show me the difference. Unfortunately, havent seen either one of them the past 2 times I went there. There is a young lady behind the counter who doesnt even acknowledge your there. And a Hispanic Male. I asked questions about the hair behind the counter (which is usually were I get the hair I need) and they acted like I was bothering them. They were so much into there own conversation with each other about songs they liked on the Radio and what they were going to have for lunch. They didnt offer a bit of help. Even when they saw me struggling with the box trying to figure out the colors. I had asked the hispanic guy were the other 2 guys were. One with Glasses and the other one I believe is an owner. He laughed and said "oh they have 3 stores now, you'll never see them here working the floor". Well I guess Ill have to start looking for another location to purchase my extensions. I wont go back there again!! Oh and to top it off, they had the nerve to charge me an additional fee for using my debit card!! Really! Who carrys cash anymore. Especially in the 100's!
