Right off the bat I go to check In and was pleasantly surprised to find a regular American behind the desk instead of some Indian/Pakistani type. That was great. He was quite pleasant. I checked in at 3pm. So I was trying to watch TV when at 5pm the maid service decides to vacuum the hallways with very loud vacuum. So had to turn the volume up so could hear what I was watching on TV. Really? You had all day to do this you had to wait till now? And then ( I swear I'm not making this up) I'm in bed trying to sleep and 10pm some moron decides that's the best time to mow the field right out my room with a very loud mowing machine. Are you freaking kidding me? Mowing at that time of night? C'mon man! I really felt like telling the morning desk person (which would have been ok since it was another regular American person) but decided since they probably wouldn't have done anything about it anyway, I'll just Yelp about it. So stars only for the fact this place is run by regular Americans instead of having to put up with those, er, umm, ... from the other side of the world. read more

This hotel is a very good value. It is right off of I-70. The rooms were clean. The staff was friendly. The parking lot was well lit. There was a hot breakfast included. Beds were comfortable. The price was reasonable and they didn't charge extra for our dogs. The only thing that might have given me pause had I been a lone woman traveling was all the tractor trailers. I personally only saw other families, but there was a woman in front of the hotel in the evening who spent a great deal of time holding a relatively loud conversation on her phone while we unloaded. ( things that make you go hmm, and why I might be hesitant to stay here as a lone woman ). We also had some furniture in the back of our truck and some boxes in the car and no one messed with anything in the excellently lit lot. I would stay here again given its convenience and value but not as a solo female traveler. read more

Super 8 by Wyndham Cloverdale - Hotels Near Me - Cloverdale, Indiana

Okay I understand this is a low budget hotel but holy moly was the customer service sub par...called them and booked a hotel they couldn't find our reservation upon arrival, so we called corporate..they found it. We told them it was going to be a late check in they acknowledged it and said it was okay. We get there, the night time desk manager said he just marked us as a no show?? After we explained extensively while booking that we would be running a late check in. It doesn't stop there.. we finally get it worked out after corporate customer service basically chews out the night time desk service. We get our hotel and the keys don't work. We went down multiple times to tell him the keys don't work and he keeps giving us new keys. Meanwhile after him telling us three times it should be working he gets up and comes to check the lock...go figure "oops sorry" the lock seems to be broke. The desk attendant storms off and goes to get us checked in a new room. I would never recommend this specific super 8 location to anyone. The only thing it had going for it was the rooms were half way clean for a super 8. read more

The Super 8 Cloverdale is very convenient. It is located off the highway with two gas stations and various fast food restaurants available. It makes the perfect rest stop. The Super 8 is very basic in accommodations. It has a bed, shower, desk, and TV with a variety of channels. Despite the sign on the front desk saying that that Super 8 was rated #1 in the area by TripAdvisor, I still felt dirty after staying here. It was pretty disappointing, but I felt I had no choice. My boyfriend insisted we stay there because we were travelling with our dogs and it was the only hotel he knew in the area that accepted dogs. Check-in was ok though. We arrived late due to late night construction on the highway. The front desk clerk was very understanding. However, their system was down so check-in took longer than expected. She was very nice and amiable, a good asset to the motel. So yes, though this motel has lots of pros, it does have a few major things that bothered me: -room reeked of smoke though I specifically booked a non-smoking room (despite the no smoking sign posted both in the room and on our floor) -lumpy mattress with thin comforter and old blanket ( we spent 6 hours driving so a comfy bed would have been so nice. I felt every spring in the mattress. ouch. so if you're sensitive to this, beware.) -greasy remote control (I know they say the remote control is the dirtiest thing in the room, but darn was this thing greasy!! eeww!) -low shower pressure -- difficult to get all the soap off of you when the shower isn't strong enough. The Super 8 Cloverdale offers free wifi, BUT it's pretty slow -- great for browsing the internet, but tough if you actually have work to do. Overall, the stay was decent and the Super 8 offered what we needed for the night, a place to sleep, roof over our heads, and a clean place to shower. If given the choice, I wouldn't stay here again, but there aren't many other options in the area. My friends mentioned the Motel 6 down the street was recently renovated, so maybe we'll give that a shot next time. Otherwise, I guess we are stuck with the limited options in Cloverdale. read more

Did a stop over at this location after the Big Ten Championship in December. Relatively clean and easy to find. The staff was very nice and they had no problem with holding the the room for us till 1am. I would tell anyone that this is a great place to stop by for a night. read more

I spent two nights here in July, during judging of IBHA World Show Warm-up. The desk man Jacob is very effective & polite. The hotel itself, looks new or recently remodeled. TV is good/ AC is good/ bed-linens-room good. Morning breakfast-mediocre. I would stay here again without thinking twice read more

Don't stay here. Customer service? Non existent. They don't care about your needs either. You see, they have Mexicans (worker immigrants) that seem to occupy many rooms. And, they're noisy as they work all day and return at night. We've been to this Super 8 and this had been our worst stay. NOISE, lousy SERVICE. This is a truck stop location. The Holiday Inn Express would be a better choice. Definitely wouldn't recommend and they've lost our loyalty for good. read more

When I arrived it took the lady at the front desk about 5 minutes to even acknowledge me. When she did she didn't smile and was very cold and short. I asked her about the air conditioner in my room because it wasn't working. I had to unplug it and switch Outlets. I told her it didn't work still and there was no other suggestions or resolve. Very loud in the Halls and Loud outside because I have to have the window open to get a little bit of air. Very disappointed and it doesn't feel very safe. I can hear the entire conversations of everybody outside in the hall and downstairs in the lobby because I'm literally the first room at the top of the stairs. I don't recommend staying here and I will never stay here again. read more

For a Super 8, it is exactly what you would expect it to be. Relatively clean, courteous front desk staff, decent pool. Not as nice as a Holiday in Express but much nicer than the motel 6. Middle of the road here. read more

"Sure," the demon sang, "you can close your eyes for a second. There aren't any cars coming." Lies, of course. Your eyes won't be closed for just a second. They'll close and you'll never open them again, because the vacant stretch of road in front of you will instantly be populated by hurtling semi-trucks that exist in that fractional space of non-being, only becoming fully tangible when your awareness and consciousness slips away from having any control of perception of the real world. Or you'll drive off the road, into a ditch and have your decayed remains pulled out three months later, or any other number of heinous pitfalls that befall the person on the great American road trip. We had driven clean through four states without any trace of that Demon, but here on the far outskirts of Indianapolis, the Demon started whispering those gentle persuasions in all of our ears. We frantically searched the highway for any sign of lodging-- even a no-tell motel would suffice-- anything to rest. Our road trip was spared the adventure of sleeping in a questionable establishment by the discovery of this motel just off the Cloverdale exit. It's pretty obvious this place caters to over the road truckers, being located right next to a truck repair shop, but it was clean, with cheap rooms and --most importantly-- they took cash. We woke early the next morning refreshed and rested. This place probably saved our lives (if I'm being dramatic) or it spared us drama (if I'm being realistic). Either way, I'm glad we found it. read more

Best Super 8 i've been in so far on my trip. The A/C felt so nice first walking into the hotel. The manager was very nice and even got a room an hour early before the 3 o'clock check in... Room very clean even comes with a safe. Nice flat screen on the wall. Comfy queen size bed. There are many fastfood joints around and a restaurant about 150 yards away.. My room faces the back of the building and there is no parking lot out back. I like to be able to see my car from my room. They have an indoor pool so that is nice even though im not gonna use it. For the price you can't beat it and Indianapolis is about 30 mins away read more

Pet friendly, nice big grass area on back of bldg to walk your dog. Price for room was cheap. Clean and comfortable. Super 8's are known to be cheap and some I have stayed at are dirty and not the best. This one has been kept up and you can tell maids have pride in work. Male at front desk was pleasant and accommodating when we wanted to park our trailer at back and request of first floor room. The parking lot is kinda small for trailers or Rv's but another dirt lot sits in front that tractor trailers park and you can park there if needed. Some fast food within walking distance. read more

Looks good, room is ok. BUT... they charged me $120 +$70 +tax. 205.00 ! $70 was for potential damages!!! Possibly refunded upon checkout??? Sooo, are they to inspect my room prior to checkout? Moreover, they did not tell me. The $70 showed up on my CC. And. This is not a low class area - across the tracks as they say. No different than any other Super 8s I tend to stay. I've emailed Wyndham Care center to complain in fact. Also will contact Chamber of Commerce here in Cloverdale monday. I'm pissed. April 5th: I'd like to amend my review. The owner of this Super 8 contacted my office. Following a very cordial, respectful conversation, I am satisfied that this experience was the result of an employee making a mistake. Consequently, I will return to this site whenever I pass through Cloverdale, In. I feel much better, now that this matter has been resolved. read more

Upon arrival agreed upon a rate. Told clerk that I was paying cash. She said I would have to leave a 75.00 deposit. I guess I looked shocked never had to in any other Super 8. She said it was corporate policy. Also, reason was that if I stole a blanket then they wouldn't be out too much money. Told her I would use a debit card and still required 75.00. I said I was going to inquire about this and was also going to post on Yelp she said then if you're going to bad mouth us she wouldn't rent to me. So after an unnecessary argument, being called a potential thief, I left and stayed next door at the Econolodge with zero issues. read more

I found the Super 8 in Cloverdale, IN for my sister and brother-in-law as they were driving across the country. They had the worst experience at any Super 8 ever. Their room was dirty. The carpet was stained and looked like it wasn't vacuumed. The bathtub had either black dirt or black mold in it. They could not even use the shower because it was so gross. The furniture looked like someone was in a fight with it, and it had scratches all over it. The breakfast was only waffles and doughnuts. All the websites selling this hotel either edit their reviews, or they just got the worst room in the hotel. They give it -1 star. read more

Very impressed with Daniel, the overnight clerk. We called at about 300am and he was very friendly even though we were exhausted after driving for 8 hours. He helped into a good, clean, smoke free room. When he heard my 5 yoa son say he was hungry, Daniel opened up their kitchen and got him a couple of cinnamon rolls and milk...I can't tell you how impressed we were with him. The room itself was super clean. Don't know if we will ever be back that way, but would stop there if need-be in the future. read more

My friend said it would be a bad idea to stop here for the night, but after traveling hundreds of miles, in need of shower and sleep and unable to find a vacant hotel room for a couple of exits, I was desperate. As soon as we walk into the front office it smells of cigarette smoke, but I don't really think much of it. The woman working the front desk was friendly. We got into our room and it did look dated, but that wasn't a problem. I went to turn on the light in the bathroom and the vent made such a noise, it was certainly stuck in a position and there was a heavy smell of cigarette smoke covered by some type of nasty cologne. Next, I tried taking a shower and when I went to turn on the water the nob came right off in my hand. Thankfully I was able to work it enough to get the water on, then when I went to leave the bathroom a piece of the door handle feel of it's place. Next, I inspect the room further to find stains on the chair and a PVC pipe to hold the window closed. So far I have discovered this all within 10 minutes. Hopefully there are no other surprises in the night.... read more

Loved that the pool was handicap accessible I have a young boy with Spina bifida and it was nice that they had ledges around inside of the pool!
