Customer service was outstanding! We arrived the night before our stay and had planned to stay in our camper. I had called the hotel a couple of times earlier in the week and Luke and Haley made sure I knew we were welcome to come in the night prior. After we got parked, we walked in to let them know we had arrived. Brooke and Luke were amazing and so accommodating. The next morning we walked in to find out about check in times. Once again, we were greeted warmly by Chrystal and Nicole. I genuinely felt like I was a priority. Nicole even invited us in to enjoy some breakfast. As we ate, we watched the front desk as they greeted everyone who walked in the door. I have never seen a Housekeeping Manager stand next to the front desk representative to ensure guests were getting everything they needed for their rooms. It was absolutely refreshing! read more

We are stuck here in the Jan. 26th snowmeggedon...these team members are absolutely welcoming and completely understanding of the weather circumstances. This hotel is ok as far as Holiday Inn Express goes. Not great though. We were exhausted after a VERY long day of driving across the country so we were happy to get here. Staff is very friendly however. Weak shower pressure. It's a 3 story hotel with ice only on floors 1 and 2. Ice machine on 2nd floor was out of order. Breakfast is only served until 9:30. Small inconveniences yet they were noticed. They seem to have a nice pool. It was an ok stay over all but not our best HIE experience. read more

No issues here! The desk clerk gave me a really great rate for my overnight stay with my dog. I requested a room away from the elevator where it would be fairly quiet. Our room was clean and comfortable although when we first entered, it was freezing! The thermostat was set on AC and 55 degrees! In January! Breakfast the next morning was usual but everything was pretty fresh--like, the bacon was warm and crisp! All the employees I encountered were friendly, from the night desk guy (who was a little goofy) to the housekeeper. read more

Don't stay here until major changes have been made. Unprofessional staff which seem to live full time at the hotel, litter daily in the elevator, trash left on counters in the breakfast area, pot smoking in the elevator, sewage smells in some of the rooms, loose dogs in the hall, staff entering my room before the checkout time, all leading to an unpleasant stay. I gave one star because the hot breakfast was decent, although unavailable for two days of our stay. read more

As a guest in many 3-5 Star 5 Diamond award winning resorts this is the best hotel ever! I wasn't an official guest: but I've just came back from Barbados about a week ago. And never really got to enjoy my post international (You know what) As we were heading to Indianapolis I told my husband that he needed to finally pull over I was scared because I like to my business in public areas and there was no way I was going to a gas station or restaurant fast food place but we found this wonderful holiday in express and sure enough it was perfect it was totally clean and stocked with wonderful things everyone was so nice and there was a private bathroom right around the corner with tissues and flowers and I got to have an intellectual conversation with my thoughts and persevere through my problems with ease. I think the wonderful guy at the front counter who was kind of a burly rugged lumberjack type and I took some pictures just to boot I don't know anything about the rooms but I can say that they have snacks and a pool and it was clean as can be I'm nice and refreshed and that's why this place gets a five star review! read more

When I walked into the lobby during Covid, the lobby smelled heavily of antiseptic and clean. The lobby was immaculately clean. Check-in was fast and efficient. My room was clean and well presented. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. The bathroom was super clean and well stocked. The TV and WiFi worked well! I highly recommend you stay here. read more

If you want to disappoint your spouse...or yourself...stay here! Let me tell you about just some of the ways Holiday Inn Express helped me do just that. 1. My wife was very thirsty towards the tail end of our trip. She asked if we couldn't stop and get some water. However, we were just a couple mins away from the hotel. So I said, "let's just wait to we get to the hotel. They will have a little side store there where we can pick some up." She said, "ok. That's a good idea." The idea itself was in fact good, but it turned out to be a bad one. When we checked in, we popped in the the store to get some water...but basically their fridge was just there for display purposes only...only had a couple beverages. "We shoulda stopped and got some water." See pictures. (Thanks Holiday Inn) 2. I said, "don't worry, they will have some drinking fountains. They never ever came to the room. We stayed at the Hotel for four days and from the get go the shower had no conditioner and body wash. On the second day I went to the office where house keeping sets up carts and asked them specifically for just those two items and they wrote my room number down...they never came! Lady on the over night at the front desk was great. Great location good morning breakfast but the housekeeping service was not good. read more

My cousin and I booked this hotel for our stay during the solar eclipse. We arrived and quickly were checked in. The people at the desk were welcoming and efficient. The hotel was completely booked. I had checked out of curiosity before we left so I knew this was the case. Despite being so busy we never felt they thought it was an imposition when we asked a question. Every single person was friendly, kind and helpful. Only saw smiles the entire time. The room was very clean and well stocked with toiletries and towels. There was a frig and a microwave in the room. We were on the 3rd floor and despite this shower was good. Didn't swim but the pool was very busy. The dining room (for breakfast) was clean and the food was delicious. Everything was restocked was it was getting low. And it was very busy as you can imagine. Cannot say enough good about this hotel and the staff. Would certainly book here again if in the area. read more

Disappointed because our room was near the side door and so anyone coming made noise. The room was nice but the walls are a bit thin...so a good night's sleep eluded us. I like that Holiday Inn has Directv and their breakfasts are good. read more

I'm never staying here again. The walls are so thin that I can hear both rooms on each side with people snoring. Someone spilled Mac and cheese all over the elevator floor and they put a caution sign in the corner instead of just cleaning it up. It is clear that this newish Holiday Inn is going down the toilet. I might as well go sleep in the back of my SUV so I don't have to deal with the snoring. read more

Decent hotel to be honest visually. Staff was nice. Probably four stars until the following: ants in my room, only one elevator and it's slow (I needed the steps anyway so the stairs ended up working), biscuits and gravy except there were no biscuits, and literally 1997 dial up internet (ok not literally but when your upload is faster then your download (.56mb, yep that's less then one Meg) it's a bad bad thing. Stayed here for a few nights while visiting friends and family in Greencastle. The hotel was decent. The fitness center is small but has 2 treadmills and a bike. Coffee was good but I skipped breakfast each day. Staff is friendly and rooms were quiet. Our room smelled a little musky but not bad at all. read more

Arrived earlier than normal check in but was able to be accommodated, staff friendly no matter the shift or how many times we walked through those doors! Room was clean but a bit musty not sure if fan in bathroom not working was reason why but opening the window evening thorough morning definitely did help. Bed was clean and comfortable had a King suite and enjoyed it. Glad we chose this location as our stay for three nights while visiting nearby Greencastle, always with their were choices in town but this was an ok distance, with moderate pricing for our weekend nights because of nearby DePauw having a family weekend and a football game to boot. read more

We stayed twice, both time it was clean and staff was helpful and professional. Breakfast was decent, same as most other hotels. The pool was nice, too. Only bad thing was the walls are thin (like other hotels) could hear neighbor snoring. We will stay there again, great stop near the city but not in the city. For the price point this is a AWESOME place to stay. We stayed for a week. The breakfast was hot, fresh with good variety regardless of time when we went down during breakfast hours! Our room was neat & kept clean. The staff from the managers (general & front desk) to the maintenance, hospitality and cleaning crew were always so nice! We did not need much but every staff member we had contact with during our stay was friendly! If your in the area and want a nice place to stay..definitely heck them out! Our room had a slight smell to it and the rug outside of the bathroom was wet. The breakfast had a selection of items which always scores big with me. The bed was incredibly comfortable with two choices of pillows which I've never had before! Decor was pretty sweet too but, not as sweet as the staff though.I left my pillow in the room and one of the staff members was more than happy to assist me. read more

I travel for work so I'm constantly in a hotel every week. This is absolutely one of my favorites. The staff is super friendly and respects the requests made by their guests. They go above and beyond to ensure that their guests have a great experience at their hotel. The amenities are wonderful from the gym to the pool/ hot tub area, and what a great continental breakfast. They have a laundry room which comes in completely handy on weeks when I'm there four a week without going home. One time I even forgot that I needed to do my laundry and hasn't brought laundry soap with me, no worries though they had it for sale in their little store. They completely are their four their guests and make you feel like family. This is seriously the best hotel!!!!!!!!! read more

This holiday inn is newly renovated, everything is very nice, nice breakfast, comfy beds, clean, etc. but, if you plan on staying here during the summer time, I don't recommend this hotel. There were at least 20 lady bugs and flies I had to get rid of! Gross! And they kept coming back! There's a way they are getting in through the windows or walls or something I don't know but I wasn't the only room that complained about them. Otherwise everything looks new! Very nice hotel, clean and had a great stay, beds were comfy. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. They need more selection. Upset that the pool was closed for our entire stay. They should have gave us money off, it's not too hard to get a pool fixed if you're a hotel, I'm sure of it. read more
