It was so low end. I think the bed is just 2 box springs put together so hard and uncomfortable the bedding is awful I'm afraid there were bed bugs I itched all night. It's loud and very outdated they didn't even have Ubc outlets. The front desk lady was rude. I wouldn't go here drive a half hour farther in either direction to stay. It did have free parking and breakfast but that's just not enough I didn't sleep more than a hour read more

It's your bottom end "Hotel" by a chain. A room, an old bed, hot water, a clean towel, clean sheets, Coffee, a hanger, a door & lock. The pool, doesn't look inviting, the 1 lounge is broken, and the pool has algae starting on the wall. Parent Co. should invest some $$ for pool- ie... furniture, 2 working lounges would be a start- proprietor should clean the pool debris daily. When you're in Cloverdale in the summer, a pool is a necessity!!! read more

I stayed there in September 2024, to visit family. This location is really good. There is a gas station and McDonalds, two other restaurants, a grocery store, Subway, and CVS Pharmacy, all right there in a strip mall setting. The room was good size and clean. The morning breakfast was simple but good. The staff were friendly and kept the hotel very clean. I will stay here on my next trip. read more

I stayed 3 nights because I was visiting friends in the area. The location is convenient for services. The lobby has a placard warning customers about local child sex trafficking- fair warning, I guess, but very off putting. The facility is okay, the room was clean and comfortable, but the price per night went from anoint $170 to over $200. This is definitely not a $200+ kind of place. read more

One of the few places in the area under $200 a night. We were amazed at how clean not only the room was, but the entire motel! Kudos to the staff who keep that up! This Super 8 far exceeded my expectations of a budget hotel! We were up in Cloverdale from SF for the weekend, in need of last minute accommodation, and unable to find anything under $500 a night. Super 8 came to the rescue! It's centrally located in a strip mall with access to a supermarket, Starbucks and other businesses within walking distance. The front desk folks were friendly and helpful as we checked in. Our room was spotlessly clean, large and comfortable! The beds themselves were comfortable to sleep in as well and we enjoyed the TV and fridge where we could keep our leftovers. They also had a pool and fitness center which also looked to be well maintained (although infrequently used). The breakfast spread was not bad either for a continental breakfast included with the stay - they had yogurt, pastries, bagels and toast, cereal, juice and some fruit. It was the perfect snack to fuel up a bit before hitting the road for the rest of our day. Thanks for a great experience, Super 8! read more

I will spend big money on certain things: plane tickets to exotic locales, haircuts, the occasional designer shoes or necklaces that come in little blue boxes. But if I'm running a half-marathon in a town away from home, it's all about price--and the ability to extend our checkout time. That 11am checkout time seemed impossible for a slow and steady runner like me but the morning manager added an extra hour. I was able to drag my aching body back to the hotel, shower, and not have to pay for an extra night. It's the Super 8, not the Hyatt. It's clean and located in a strip mall. Wine Country is horribly overpriced so the cheap rates were a plus. read more

This is the greatest motel in Cloverdale! I always stay here when I am traveling for work. The motel manager and staff are extremely friendly and very accommodating. The room are clean and the beds are comfortable. There is plenty of parking. I was going to have to change motels in the middle of my stay this time because they were completely booked for the weekend. The manager was able to get a room for me at the last minute. My only disappointment was that the "other motel" wouldn't cancel my reservation and I had to leave anyway. You absolutely can not go wrong staying at the Super 8! read more

After checking in was reprimanded by owner for parking in one of her three private parking spaces in front of the entrance and told to move the car. Came back late at night with our belongings and reprimanded by owner again for not making sure the door closed completely behind us. Her grandkid was walking with their shoes on over the counters where food is served in the morning. Not welcoming at all for a weary traveler paying all that money for a low class lodging. read more

If I could give no stars I would. This was the worst place to stay at. The light turns on all night, the keys don't work and the AC doesn't stay on or have a fan setting. There was no sugar for the coffee and they charge about $250 a room I would rather go up in price and stay somewhere nicer than ever ever stay here again! Don't stay here or think twice unless it dire emergency but when u go on a nice vacation and have to be dealt with the light waking u up all night this was BS! After a long day at the Russian river tubing we had to deal with this all night. The building is dirty and definitely no as beautiful as the pictures show this place was disgusting! We stayed in rooms 114 & 115 and they both were TERRIBLE! To note our keys had a problem since we got them and I was informed they could be demagnetized by keys, other cards or a lighter lol like we have 2 keys so how is that the problem for both when one key was in the card stock slip they give u like come on I've stayed in many hotels and have not once heard that crap $215 for a very uncomfortable evening read more

Easy place to park. Clean rooms, decent breakfast and acceptable pricing. The water pressure in the showers is a bit lite for me and the beds are adequate. You do get 4 pillows which is a plus. I had hoped the bed would be a bit newer but this is a Value Hotel Chain so that is what you get. A good value. You are also next to a bunch of great places to eat and or get groceries. The fried chicken at Rays is really good. Plus the Chevron is right there on the corner for a quick fuel up or breakfast burrito. read more

What a great little hotel in this area. Everything is either super pricey bed and breakfasts or cheap one star motels nearby. We had a good experience from check in to check out. The rooms and property are clean. No signs of smoke or pet hair! I would recommend updating the bedding as some looked a little dated, stained or old (clean though). Would stay here again! read more

I stayed at the Cloverdale Super 8 this past weekend. The price was refreshing--$89 in the land of incredibly overpriced lodging (drive down the freeway a few miles to Healdsburg and you'll pay over $250 per night for a Best Western, for heaven's sake). I didn't want much, and I wasn't expecting much, but I was very impressed. Clean-check. Good, quiet air conditioning-check. Very comfortable bed-check. Safe-check (motel room doors are not accessible from the street--you have to go through a locked door). Pool and spa-check. Nice folks--check. Quiet-check. This motel is in a shopping mall--the first one you see when you turn on to South Cloverdale Ave. from that exit off 101. It's not easily visible from the street. I love that it's so close to dining (across the driveway from Mary's Pizza Shack, my Sonoma County pizza go-to place, and across the parking lot from Star Restaurant, which has great food and service) and grocery shopping, if you're so inclined. Cheap little place to sleep if you plan on going wine tasting. It's okay, but next time I'll stay in north Santa Rosa instead. The bathroom fan didn't work. The pool was tiny and really not worth getting in. And the front desk gave me a rude 'NO' when I called to ask if they happened to have a wine opener I could borrow. Breakfast was alright. The room was clean. It served it's purpose. But I'll give Motel 6 a chance next time. read more

Poor UNSAFE LIGHTING! Thin walls, sheets,... Pros: Chose to breakfast across the street at Starbucks, motel offering not for me. Cleanliness, as mentioned in other reviews, was adequate. Beds fairly comfortable. Nothing else to like about this property. Cons: Walls are thin, like the towels, sheets, & tissue products. The worst issue with this location are the light sensors placed in the rooms. They're cheap and not properly tuned... in rm 102, while in the shower, the room went to black, leaving me in total darkness in a wet, slippery environment. I finished rinsing in the total blackout, found my way to the tub edge, and the towels I laid on the floor, where I slipped badly, and managed by feel to the light push button across the room to restore the lighting. Had I fallen and hurt myself, I would have considered a lawsuit. --- Stayed for 5 nights visiting family; the noise from ice & vending machines in the hallway across from rms 102,3,4 provided a loud awakening at 6:30am - they need to be put into a room (fitness, laundry). Moved to rm 118, where I was brutally awakened the next morning at 6:15am by someone dumping a heavy object into a truck bed parked outside the window facing the parking lot. Then moved to rm 108 across the hall where windows face Treadway Dr. Quiet until 6:30am when the neighbor began talking at full voice on their cellphone. --- For the price of this stay, the lighting sensors are totally unacceptable, since the Best Western in Healdsburg, 15 min away, shows light switches in their rooms, for a few dollars more than the Wyndham Super 8 is charging. I think that kind of safety is worth the extra charge, and would highly recommend anything in Healdsburg over this place. Reported this lighting issue, which happened 2 more times during my stay, to the front desk attendants, who were clueless when asked how to use them. Not at all friendly. These sensors need to be replaced as soon as possible, so will report this to the corporate Wyndham contacts, and hope they do something. read more

The "breakfast" was very poor: mealy apples, no bananas, some yogurt, toast, no eggs as advertised -- I'm seeing a theme with that one. Additionally, after checking out the morning of 6/25, I noticed a pattern of itchy bumps on my upper torso, and my roommate had them on her legs -- bed bugs?!?!?! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CHECK YOUR SECOND FLOOR ROOMS FOR POSSIBLE BED BUGS! And travelers, check your bedding, mattresses, headboards, etc. Luckily, we don't seem to have brought anything home with us as there are no new bites, but seriously, now! read more

Great budget friendly hotel! We stayed here overnight while in town to run a marathon. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was convenient and close to a variety of stores to grab a bite to eat or any necessary items. The staff were Uber sweet and friendly! And accommodating...we'd asked to do a late check out so we could come back to take a shower after running, unfortunately we couldn't because they needed rooms for incoming Cal Fire firefighters, but they said to come back and they'd allow us to use the bathroom in the exercise room (which had a shower). They were super sweet and made sure it was well stocked with everything we'd need by the time we returned! Overall a very positive experience! read more

I had a choice to make. All of the hotels/motels in the Healdsburg area were sold out with the exception of one hotel with a $1,100 a night room and a room at the Super 8 for $145. I chose the Super 8 as we're putting two kids through college. The Super 8 is easy to get to and from Highway 101 and it's near a shopping center and gas stations. Our room was clean, the staff was nice and friendly, and included free wireless, which I probably would have had to pay for at the hotel with $1,100 a night room. Gal at that front desk was rude and snobby. Got into our room and the bathroom lights didn't work. They couldn't find their maintenance person so they sent someone else that didn't know anymore than how to change a light bulb when the light bulbs where not the problem. Looked in the refrigerator and there was a plastic container with some mystery item inside it frozen into the ice box. They moved us to another room after not being able to make the lights work. The new room came with leftover beer in the refrigerator left from the last customer and the shower hear was banged up and about to fall out of the wall. Two of the dresser drawers where all bent out of shape. Long story short, for the amount you folks charge, we will be staying in the best western next time we go to Cloverdale. read more

Our stay was for 1 night 3/10-3/11/12. Upon arrival the building looked just like the pictures. Entering the building a woman greeted us at the front desk in a green sweatshirt and what appeared to be flannel pajama bottoms. She was pleasant and asked if we needed the code to the free wifi. Our room happened to be at the end of the building. Unfortunately the exterior door getting into the building seemed to not work with our card key so we had to use another door. Since our room was directly next to this door we heard several other people try unsuccessfully to open the door with their room key as well. Thankfully I had done some research and in that same parking lot was a delicious pizza place. Our room itself was clean, the usual scratchy bedspread which we took off immediately and mismatched furniture. The TV was an older model as well but frankly for the price the furniture nor the TV were a concern. The bathroom shower could have used some attention as it seemed that the shower rod had been replaced and spackling and painting was in order. The fan in our bathroom didn't make any noise so we were unsure if it worked(steamed up right away), or if they had a different type of ventilation system. Therefore we showered with the door ajar. Otherwise the water was nice and hot, the usual towels and toiletries were provided as well as a small coffeemaker in the bathroom. Our room also came with a mini fridge and microwave. The next morning we ventured out to the lobby to partake upon the continental breakfast. I expected this to be like all the other hotels however I was mistaken. Coffee, Juice, cereal, small pastries, and a loaf of bread with a toaster were present. However there wasn't anything to put on the toast, nor were there the usual bagels or waffles I had been accustomed to. Also the table that we sat at appeared to be unbalanced and someone had put a napkin holding it in place. We were unsure if that was courtesy of another guest or management. Upon checkout I noticed the same woman was at the front desk, in the same attire from the day before. While I understand the town and the hotel are not the caliber of a high class establishment I would have thought the front desk would have warranted jeans at the very least and not what appeared to be pajamas. All in all the establishment was clean and I would stay again. read more

One star rating which is only based on the fact that it is kept clean. However, in terms of experience this is by far one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered. The woman at the front desk is extremely rude and don't worry she's the owner so she doesn't really care. From the first encounter she was extremely rude as we did the unthinkable took one of the "free" breakfast yogurts outside of her considered breakfast hours. It could of been handled politely instead she was rude and scolded us for doing so. Not to worry she's also watching the cameras like a hawk once you're on her list. I'll spare all the details for corporate---which I advised since we had a few run ins with her lack of customer service and tact (she called the room and yelled at a guest)..When confronted about her lack of service she responded "I don't care---blah blah blah." Spend a little extra and stay somewhere where the owners treat their customers right. You'll feel so much better about where your money is going.
