The showers and excellent water pressure and the bath and body works products were perfect for returning to human form post camping trip. They even provide rags for any extra dirty clean up which I know is to dissuade guests from using the towels for this, but it is still a nice touch. There was no extra charge for the wifi, and it was extremely fast! I was even able to upload all the pictures from the trip in a very short amount of time. Usually on hotel wifi this is an overnight process. The included breakfast was great! The omelettes were tasty, and the make your own pancakes machine was fabulous! I do want one of those for my house...push button.. machine makes pancake! This is a great place to revive after a wilderness adventure!

Very poor WiFi WiFi is 1.09 mbps down & .78 up All of the hard floors were sticky like a soda had been spilled and not cleaned up. The shower head was high enough if you aren't over 5' 6" tall. It has a tile tub/shower surround and there is mold/algae in the grout. The toilet was short. About as tall as the toilet in the preschool area at my church. If you're a man, you know how nasty it is when you're genitals hang in the water. We stayed in a 2 room suite. There was only 1 window a/c in the main room so it was difficult to get the bedroom cool enough to sleep comfortably. I guess maybe I expected too much from a Choice Hotel.

I called ahead and made a reservation which was pain free. When I arrived I was greeted with a smile and hospitality. Average nightly price was $49. I have stayed in worse hotels than this that charge $80. The room I was given had two beds, which I believe were both queen. One bed seemed to sag, but never used it since I travel alone. There is nothing overly special about these rooms, but come with a desk, microwave, mini fridge, smaller flat screen TV. One thing my room didn't have was a dresser, which I prefer to have, to unpack for the week of work, but not a huge deal. I didn't need it, but I couldn't tell if there was any kind of AC, but there was a small space heater under the desk. I assume most of it is controlled from the office. Bathroom was nothing special also, sort of on the small side. Small sink, but a big stand up shower with good shower head (I am picky about that). Never ran out of hot water. Additional Information: Not much for fast food restaurants in the town of Eveleth as far as I could tell, but the nearby town of Virginia has stores and restaurants. Parking spaces are nice and wide (I drive a super long truck for work and can have a hard time parking in tight spaces) but there aren't a ton of spots, just in front of all the rooms. Overall: Great if you are working, such as on the pipeline. In my opinion this motel is well worth the price.

The Inn was clean and conveniently located downtown Ely and walkable to all the shops, restaurants and park. My stay included complimentary coffee and bakery item at Northern Grounds coffee and wine bar a block away. Both the coffee and muffin/scones were pretty amazing! There was a common kitchen with refrigerator, sitting room with fireplace. Coffee and tea available 24/7. I really appreciated them making me and my little dog feel so welcome and taken care of. My room was spotlessly clean with plenty of towels and a handmade soap. No need to bring much all the toiletries were there including a hairdryer. Outside seating was available on the deck. The other guests were friendly and pretty respectful of quiet hours so I slept well. Should I return to ELY, MN again I will stay at THE STAY INN and will recommend to anyone headed to the area.

Given the fact that I am from out of State, she really bent over backwards to answer all of my questions and accommodate me when I came for a site visit. The community itself is clean and well groomed, cottages are comfortable, view... well... you can't beat the backdrop of Lake Superior. The staff, was welcoming and friendly which is very important, and the food was awesome. This place is perfect for an intimate wedding and it was our very first choice. Ultimately my fiancee and I chose to elope in Italy (we followed our true heart), but before we made that choice, Larsmont was the only choice for us in the North Shore area. Thank you Hannah and all of the staff. We are sorry we won't be able to enjoy a wedding there, but will definitely be back for a vacation.

Although there were wine glasses, there was no cork screw in the room. Although there are big candles in the bathroom there is no matches provided to light them. The s'mores kit we were provided had stale marshmallows. One of the bathroom sink bowls had some kind of unsightly chemical damage. In-room TV is small (20") and low quality. Refrigerator froze our milk solid. I'd be fine with the issues of this place, if the price was lower. For the price they are charging, none of these cons should exist.
