Stayed here over the weekend for Parent's Weekend at WSU. Was a little frustrating to be 7 miles away in Moscow but that's what you get for lodging around there for major events. Lucky to even get this room. I can't tell you how pleasantly surprised we were with this establishment. Every employee we came in touch with wanted to make sure we had everything we needed including the husband and wife team that manages the hotel. It made me feel like we were staying in a 5 star resort. The room was completely clean and we stayed for 2 nights so they cleaned it on our last day as well. There is a full breakfast every morning. I don't mean like some crappy coffee and donuts. Full breakfast. The folks there literally made me feel like family and I think that's an absolute superlative standard that needs to be pointed out. My wife and I decided we'll stay here every time we come to Pullman now even though it's 7 miles away. read more

This is a former Super 8 Motel, keep your expectations low. For the price it was ok. We got in late, around 10pm. Front desk staff was very nice and friendly. There is no elevator but found the walk up to the second floor very short. The room had a funny smell, was old and the floors were not clean. The tub is dingy, the bathrooms floor was not clean, and we had to flip the switch for the power surge strip to turn the tv, microwave, and fridge on, no coffee pot in room. The blankets were thin and the mattress was not comfortable but not too uncomfortable, our room also had a hanging rack right next to one of the beds which caused a few head bumps. There are two vending machines in the lobby, one has some frozen sandwiches. Breakfast is very minimal. It included yogurt which is precooked into mini cups, toast, english muffins, cereal, coffee, apples, a waffle bar, hard boiled eggs, and apple & orange juice machine in a small dining area. There was plenty of parking and the area seems safe. If the weather is nice, it's a short walk to the university. There's also a target, Walmart, winco and other shopping and eateries within a 5 minute drive. Although this hotel is very rough, we felt comfortable and enjoyed our stay, the other guests were pleasant, it was relatively quiet, and the staff were friendly. read more

Hospitality is ultimately about people. Helpful & friendly staff. Lots of smiles. The four stars are for the staff. Thank you for being so awesome! Coffee in the lobby as well as room. Breakfast is covid style (fruit and packaged goods), and a reflection of the current state of our society. Cozy & clean room. Internet was good. Paid laundry on site. Location is near businesses, food and gas. Parking is on either side where the rooms are, and could see my car from the room window, which is an added bonus. Low prices. Would stay here again. Edit in: Read the other reviews that complain of a smell. There wasn't a smell in the lobby or room, and the lobby was clean. Room was on the 1st floor. Hallway was clean. I booked for a graduation. Dude to demand the price was 364 dollars with tax for our Two Queen bed room. I understand supply and demand and am not complaining about the price but I wanted to be transparent. We arrived at 11 pm. While the room was clean the hotel is fairly dated. Every time someone in the room above us flushed we could hear the plumbing in the wall next to one of the beds . The showers are either extremely low flow heads or the water pressure is just poor. I have very brightly colored hair and dried it the best I could after my shower. I can not use a blow dryer if I don't wish to look like I stuck my finger in a light socket and so I went to bed with damp hair . While I take responsibility for the fact that my hair unfortunately bled onto a pillow case I find it obscene that I was charged 95 dollars for a pillowcase . Because I have brightly colored hair I know full well bleach will remove it. I was told I also stained a sheet which I did not . I travel A LOT I have never been charged like this. So with that in mind this hotel will do if you need it too. Do not plan on the light breakfast filling your need for morning food. If you color your hair in a fashion that it may bleed , beware of the cost you may incur or plan to bring your own pillow. I would advise making sure the shower curtain isn't in the tub and you don't use their towels on your hair. Take my 95 dollar lesson and save yourself . read more

I have a reservation for University of Idaho Graduation weekend. I reserved a room with 3 beds (yes, they have them) using Wyndham Rewards points. Somebody at the hotel changed the reservation to book us into a room with one queen bed. I talked with the hotel staff and spent 4 hours on the phone with Wyndham Customer Disservice. Their only suggestion is to cancel the existing reservation and try to rebook. That doesn't work because the Super 8, like all the other area hotels is full and if rooms are available we would have to spend three or four times the cost at the time I made the reservation 5 months ago. Save yourself a headache and stay at CougarLand Hotel or someplace in Pullman. read more

If there was an option for zero stars or negative stars, I would choose it. What a run down, filthy place. The people who own and manage this hotel should be embarrassed. We reserved two rooms for what was to be a wonderful Cougar football weekend. When I walked into the hotel, I immediately noticed the filthy furniture in the lobby and the woman in front of me noticed it, too. There was a horrible smell like old cigarettes. The whole hotel had the same odor and was obviously neglected. I don't mind old - but I do mind dirty. I went to our room, opened the door, and immediately noticed the window was open. The smell was horrible. I looked in the bathroom and someone else's toilet paper was in the toilet along with their hair around the sink and on the floor. The bed lacked any sort of mattress cover and the sheets were threadbare. It was so dirty we decided to leave and drive back to Spokane to stay in a hotel there. In the meantime, I asked the Super 8 for a refund and they refused to refund me the cost of the first night. It cost me $500 for a horrible experience. All righty. Everything you've read previously (other reviews) is spot on. The place is low end when it comes to motels in the area. However, the price reflects it. Unless you're staying here when there is a big event in Moscow, you're likely to spend about $75 a night. I'm here doing photography in the area, so I'm spending about 4 hours a day at this motel. Thus, it makes little sense for me to pay $125 a night over at the Fairfield. Anyhow, here's the quick and dirty on the Super 8. The staff is friendly. The clientele is eclectic. The walls in the rooms are paper thin. The rooms are dated. There is a smell that permeates the room (haven't put my finger on the exact description yet). And I would imagine that if you're a light sleeper, you'd hate this place. Having said all that, it's a Super 8. You can't expect much. And you shouldn't here. It lives up to its 2-star rating. But, because it's Moscow, the guests here aren't your normal 2-star visitors. They trend toward three stars. Bottom line? If you need a place to stay, and don't plan on spending much time at this motel, this is the place for you. If you do plan on staying in the motel for hours, then you're better off spending more and going elsewhere. read more

We knew when we booked the Super 8 that it is only 3.5 stars. (Probably should be 2 stars. But that is the reason for bad rating). This is graduation Weekend when there are very limited rooms available in a small town. My daughter made reservations 1 year in advance because of limited rooms. Because of Covid we were not sure if there would be a graduation ceremony but we were planning ahead. We had no idea the time of the ceremony, so she booked 2 nights to cover all bases. When we learned the ceremony was it 9:30 am we did not need to stay the 2nd night. We are grandparents and not staying around to party with the college kids. When we tried to cancel the 2nd night we were told we had to cancel 6 MONTHS before the date. My daughter called 1 week in advance. Most cancelation for reservations require 24 hours. My daughter booked 3 rooms for 2 nights at $290 per night - $1564 total for family. She only wanted to cancel 1 night for 1 of the rooms. She offered to cancel 1 room for both nights if that would be easier for the hotel to resell. She was told NO NO NO. I believe this is atrocious. This room could easily have been sold. There is huge demand. This hotel rate next weekend is $90 but all hotels impose terribly high rates for graduation weekend. I will NEVER NEVER stay at a Super 8 again and plan to share this experience with all my friends and family and NEVER recommend Super 8. We are Wyndham rewards members and we will seriously reconsider this membership because of this experience when we travel and book hotels on the future. read more

Yes! Stay here! Our room was clean and large, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and the shower was clean and hot. They allowed our dog and had a nice little area in back where the doggies could go pee or people could have a cigarette. Only $65 for a single bed with pet. We may have gotten a deal since there was hardly anyone else staying, so I imagine their prices are normally a little higher. read more

I know its a Super 8, so I'm not expecting the Embassy Suites. However, this is one of the crappier Super 8's I've stayed at. The noise level from other guests is abnormaly high. The floor to the room above me creaks ALOT! The walls are paper thin. (I can hear my neighbor in the bathroom.) I expect a certain amount of noice, dont get me wrong. But for some reason this place you can hear everything. It might just be an older building, I dont know. Its fine for a one-night stay. But its going to be interesting being that I'm staying for 3 nights... As for the positives...its close to downtown and the university. It was just a quick drive to the restaurant we went to and there were quite a few others within walking distance. Update: The website says this hotel has a sauna. The website lies! One of the worst places I've ever stayed at. I know this is a Super 8 and I'm not expecting the Four Seasons, but you would expect the most basic level of service and comfort. We'll, the noise from the creaking in the room above is just unbelievably loud. The walls are paper thin and the whole place is basically made out of cardboard. Of you stay here, you WILL hear every step in the room above you. This, made it very difficult to sleep. The shower would randomly go from hot to cold to boiling without touching the faucet. Room was not made up the last day of our stay. If you think you'll stay here to save a few bucks, think again. You might be better off sleeping in your car. read more

Will never stay here again! Rooms smell like a combination of stale cigarette smoke and REALLY heavy air freshener-an overpowering and nauseating smell. The walls are paper thin, water in the shower went ICE cold several times, mold on the walls in the bathroom.....I could go on. I get it, this is a budget motel, but even at that, guests should be able to expect a minimum level of cleanliness. Used to be a great, no frills motel, have stayed there many times. This visit stinks (literally, the "non-smoking" room reeks of smoke.) Plus, the door locks key-maker is broken, so you have to be escorted to your room by an employee each time you would like to enter. When asked why they didn't inform reservation holders that the motel services were not up to par, I was treated as though I'd started a fight with them. "No other customer has complained about this." "It's out of MY control." "I don't know why you are complaining, it's ME that has to run all over the hotel letting people into rooms." When I arrived at my room, they'd just blocked the door open, apparently for whomever might happen by next. If they do that with any of my stuff in it, I'll need to do an inventory to see what might have been stolen while they left my room unlocked. After 10 or 11 stays, I'll have to find a new place in Moscow for my business trips. read more

Awful! They should just put everyone in one big room! The cardboard walls serve no purpose. You can hear every door, squeak and slam. Worst experience at this Super 8 Windham in Moscow Idaho. After driving 7hrs. to find that our room had dirty sheets with stains and hair on them! It looked like they were slept in any never changed before our arrival. The bathroom was filthy! Shower and walls had hair on them, and were not clean. The toilet bowl had mold around the rim! The television cable did not work so we could not watch anything. The lights beside each bed were not working. The whole place had a horrible odor to it! To top it off in the morning we found a black bug crawling on the sheets. When I addressed all this to the general manager Nikki Kalla she blamed us for all these issues, and was not accommodating at all!! The nerve to charge $246 dollars a night is outrageous for a place that is not clean! My family will never stay here again, and I would never recommend this dump to anyone! Holy cow, what the heck happened to guest service?! My step mom stayed here for a weekend and it was a nightmare! No one was at the desk to check her in, when she finally called and got someone she got to the room and it smelled like cigarettes. The rooms stink, satellite tv doesn't work, lamps don't work, their contracted housekeeping didn't changes bed sheets, toilet bowl had mildew in it, urine on toilet seats and bugs in room. Simply awful. Do not stay here. 3rd floor room - no elevator. Arrived to find room had no towels. Front desk brought those up. In the middle of the night, toilet backed up and started to overflow. I shut the water off and waited until 6:30 am to inform front desk. They offered the use of the employee bathroom on the first floor. Since I was travelling with my family of 5 who would all need to use the bathroom, I asked to be able to use the bathroom of an empty room on the 3rd floor. I was told no "because that would make more work for the housekeeper"! Used employee bathroom on first floor inside breakfast room - filthy and no soap for handwashing. Ick! The breakfast buffet was never replenished. By 8 am, one cereal choice was gone and there was no milk for the other. Waffle machine was worthless since every attempt stuck to the pan. I went to check out at 8:15 and had to wait over 10 minutes because both employees were taking their break at the same time! Total lack of concern for the guest experience.z read more

The hotel was a little spendy but I'm sure all of the hotels raise their prices when students are coming back. Check in with the front desk manager was not a good first impression as she was incredibly rude. The rest of the staff was fantastic though and made up for the poor check in experience. The beds were comfortable but the sheets and pillows were very cheap quality. The entire hotel could use a makeover as the furniture and theme is like a step back in time to the 1980's, not as up to date as the other hotels in town. Alright you may ask a 4 star for a budget hotel and I would respond why not? The person on duty the night that we arrived was very pleasant. We spent the night on an eve of contractors in the area in fact the whole place was full of them. Not a peep, not a sound heard from neighboring rooms or the building for that matter. We now have a pet so we look for pet friendly hotels and super 8 rates super 1. They realize the importance of allowing pets of families and people like my wife and I. It was clean and well kept. Super 8 chain is a lower budget chain of hotel but for the price you get a tv, a microwave, a coffee maker, a fridge all in your room. I've stayed at expensive chains that don't offer these simple inexpensive amenities and I love the simple things in life, cleanliness, friendliness, at a super price. Choose this place what do you have to lose you're only sleeping there anyway and when you need to reheat your pizza or want your coffee in the morning this is the place for you. And if you run out of beer there is a 24 hour convenience store right across the street. To each their own opinion but for those with negative reviews I invite you to pay up another hundred bucks for a room that offers beds and a tv, Ha, jokes on you I'll spend a hundred less for personal coffee in the morning thank you very much. read more

It was very noisy in the room due to hearing every creak of the floorboards. There were three in my party, each in a different room on floors 1 and 2, and it was the same for all of us. We all heard the loud creaking. There was mildew under the bathroom counter and also on the shower curtain. Sink handle was hard to use. In room dryer was tiny and had little power. I have stayed at the La Quinta Inn and had a much better experience. read more

Worse than Idaho Inn! I thought nothing could be worse than when we stayed at the Idaho Inn a couple months ago but I was wrong. This place will go down as the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. We were checked in by the General Manager Tambi, who had no idea what she was doing on the computer and took forever, went to our rooms down a dark and smelly hallway to even smellier room. It smelled like old dusty stale air. We tried calling down a couple times to the front desk and got no answer. I thought I would mention the smell as I went back out to my car to get my remaining things but the manager was nowhere to be seen and neither was any other employee. The young lady who worked the graveyard shift however was very friendly the next morning, unfortunately when we went to have breakfast at 9am the room was filthy with food smashed in the floor and the counters were completely disgusting. No way would I eat any food out of there. A few days later after we cooled off we tried to call the General Manager and was told she was out sick so we waited till the following week and tried again, to which we were told she was out sick yet again. We waited another two weeks and tried calling her and guess what, we were told she was out sick again. So either she is sick all the time or this is her way of avoiding dealing with issues from guests. read more
