Clean, quiet, truckers motel - it's an ok place to stay if you are not expecting anything fancy.

Parents stayed here over the weekend- TV didn't work at all and missing a security lock on door. No discount was given.

I wasted almost 2 hours of driving there for nothing after driving from Nevada (which is a 30 hr drive). I would completely avoid this place at all costs. The guy didn't even want to listen to what I was told on the phone. And was very rude. I couldve just stayed in Eau Claire for $55 a night. Thanks again for nothing. The motel was very dirty and run down anyways.

We have stayed here two years in a row. There will not be a third year…read more The first year, we had a reasonably clean cheap room with a newer mini fridge, but the toilet didn't flush properly and the water pressure in the shower was awful. We were only there one night, so we wrote it off. This year, requesting a non-smoking room resulted in being given a room with a big 'no smoking' sign on the door, but the room reeked of smoke so badly that even requesting a second cleaning didn't help. There were plastic buckets full of sand to use as ashtrays outside EVERY room, right outside the window/AC. It was disgusting, all our clothes smelled of smoke, and the amount of allergy medication necessary to be able to breathe at all meant getting no sleep for most of the night. We would have left after the first night, but the other local hotel/motels were booked solid. Soap was not replaced, nor were toilet paper or towels, during the stay. If you request extra towels, they don't show up with the cleaning crew, you have to go to the front desk and hope someone is there. Water pressure was ok, but it took over five minutes for the water to go from cold to mostly warm. The fridge in the room was old and smelled musty inside. The freezer compartment was so choked with ice that it wasn't useable at all. There are no over During our check out 'look around the room for anything you've forgotten', we made the mistake of looking under the beds. Don't do it. The dust bunnies are so huge they've just about gained sentience enough to look back at you. I understand the concept of 'you get what you pay for' but if there had been any available rooms in the hotels/motels nearby, we would have left after the first day, because paying to have massive allergy attacks all weekend and having to launder even my luggage to get the residual smoke stench out is not my idea of a good time. Avoid this place. There's a Super8 across the street and another smaller hotel two blocks away. Heck, if it means you have to sleep in your car in the truckstop parking lot, avoid this place.

The Joseph Fugina House has a main floor that you can rent, complete with two bedrooms, a living room, dining room and kitchen. Upstairs, there are three separate rooms that can be rented. They each have their own bathroom, with a shared kitchen upstairs and a shared living room downstairs. I would highly recommend looking that their website, as the photos really show how beautiful this space is. They also rent out the Prairie School House just down the street. That's a full house (no separate rooms for rent). The renovators and designers did an incredible job. Walking into the Joseph Fugina House is like stepping into a Pottery Barn or Pier 1 photo shoot. Great attention has been paid to details. Our room in the Joseph Fugina House had wonderful windows that let in a lot of light and overlooked the Mississippi River. There was also a small patio with two chairs where you could sit outside and enjoy the view. Each room has a Keurig coffee maker. The proprietors even restocked us with some Chai tea and decaff which my wife asked for! We loved our stay and would absolutely, without question, stay here again. The location is great. You can walk to town to enjoy the shops and restaurants. Guests can enjoy a 10 percent discount at The Golden Frog, a bar and grill located in downtown Fountain City. The only minor negatives would be: trains are passing by across the street about every 15 minutes, so if you're a light sleeper or can't stand that noise, you may want to go elsewhere. Also, the water was slow to get warm in the bathroom, and when it did, it didn't get real warm. We appreciated having access to a full kitchen - the ceramic dishes, real silverware, a fridge, etc. Again, the decorating was amazing. I hesitate to speak too glowingly about the place for fear that the next time we want to return, it will be booked.

We were here for just one night on our leisurely drive down the Mississippi River from Minneapolis to Madison. A rarity is that we actually were able to get an upgraded room as a Gold member - seems hard to get these days. The room was nice and since the place was newer everything was in good order. The front desk was helpful and the free breakfast was fine. Parking was free. Overall a typical Fairfield Inn experience.

Each and every time this hotel surprises me! It's immaculately clean, has a good gym/pool, a mini mart In the lobby, great breakfast, is close to the lake, hiking trails, shopping areas! And more! I can go on and on- but by far the most important thing is that every single person that works here is SO kind, helpful, insightful and we'll go out of their way to make sure you feel special during your stay here! I could not recommend this hotel more! And it will forever be my Go-to when I am in town visiting family and friends!.

It's hard for me to eat in neillsville as everywhere you go, it's all deep fried bar food.. not this time. It was nice to eat real food. The ambiance is great too. Not a bad place at all…read more We stayed here because it was an option for a friend's wedding AND they allowed dogs! I have never been able to take my dog with me to a hotel and this was an extreme highlight. After a night of celebrating with friends we came home to my sleepy pooch and felt like we never left home. The front desk staff was kind and natural. It's an outdated place but we were treated with hospitality and kindness. The only issue was that our fridge didn't work and when we reported it a handy-person came to our door around 9am. I didn't let him in since it was just me and I was a little uncomfortable since the place is a little secluded and very quiet. He left a different mini fridge outside somewhere and we never resolved the issue. It didn't seem important enough. He was a nice guy, I just felt protective of myself and dog There's a big yard with a fire-pit in the back of the building and I think some fairgrounds down the road. Close to stores and downtown area, drive wise. I would definitely stay here again if I needed to. Our pet fee was even waived! The experience you get staying in their B&B and hanging out in the brewpub will make your visit to this charming town absolutely unforgettable. They are hospitality experts and their kindness and support to their guests, community, and neighbors is outstanding. They deserve 20 out of 5 stars! You won't find kinder people, a more delicious breakfast, or a better stay anywhere. The B&B is beautiful, cozy, and inviting. You'll quickly feel at home and have a hard time leaving. (I threatened to never leave!) We cannot wait to come back. We, and the other guests, all commented on how incredibly comfortable the beds are. The blankets are SO warm, and on a chilly winter night, it's the perfect way to get cozy and warm. The decor of the room and bathroom was incredible! If we were staying the weekend, I would have treated myself to nice mineral bath in the gorgeous clawfoot tub. The original wood floors in the bathroom and throughout the house are exquisite. BREAKFAST. Oh. My. Heavenly. Goodness. To say Brenda is multi-talented is an understatement. One of her many talents is being a wizard in the kitchen. Her local bacon (seasoned two ways), homemade granola with yogurt and berries, stuffed French toast bake, and hand-crafted spread are THE way to start your morning. I feel spoiled after one day. And sitting around the table with guests and neighbors will make you feel like a local. Then there's the brewery!! Turning Waters Back Alley Brewery / Hoppy Girl Brewing.... We are so excited to have them in town! We've been to about 113 breweries around the state and country, and this one easily makes the top 10, if not higher. Ford's beers are exceptional! The Mango Milkshake IPA, Salted Caramel Russian Imperial Stout, Triple Black IPA, and Bourbon Barrel Aged Belgian Dark Beer were all 5 out of 5 stars. I'd drink those until they run out and never get sick of them. The hospitality they show out there is outstanding. The awesome snacks, delicious pizzas (don't miss this!), games, and variety of craft beers on tap will make you never want to leave. We can't wait to come back this summer and enjoys some brews outside! Best choice you could make in Wabasha? Come to Turning Waters and turn no where else. We could not recommend this place more highly!
