The rooms are a nice size and come with a mini fridge microwave and pod coffee maker. The free hot breakfast was actually really good. Loved the build your own breakfast sandwich. I will note this place is a bit confusing to navigate with lots of staircases and multiple ways to get to the same place. I would absolutely stay here again.

A rarity is that we actually were able to get an upgraded room as a Gold member - seems hard to get these days. The room was nice and since the place was newer everything was in good order. The front desk was helpful and the free breakfast was fine. Parking was free. Overall a typical Fairfield Inn experience.

We chosed the Win's Inn and got the upper Suite for 2 beds. What a beautiful house. Everything was beautiful and you feel like go back in time of the 50/60s... The only problem we had on the first night was the AC were not working... The owner got it fixed the very next day. The host made us breakfast every morning - amazing host! There were major events in the town while we were there that weekend (not our intent)... There were parades, art/crafts, and night party on main street... I kid you not, we could not hear a thing all weekend in our rooms. Will definitely come back in the near future for the next quiet weekend.

It used to be the highway before 61 was built and made it a service drive of sorts. The Lodge is a city-run cabin with full porch, basement rec hall and lots of old hunting lodge-style charm. It was build for Scout functions originally, I believe. Inside you'll find lots of taxidermied animals on the wall, a large fireplace, a kitchen, and a large mainroom. Don't drink the water though. It's non potable. Was a staple of Winona upbringing. Had countless anniversaries, wedding receptions, birthday parties and graduation parties here. Nestled at the base of the bluffs between Woodlawn Cemetery and Stone Circle park.

It's also next to the trailhead of some of the best mountain biking in the midwest. The trails are truly spectacular, both from the views you get on them, as well as a trail quality standpoint. I'm not sure what role Holzinger Lodge plays other than loaning it's name, but I'm glad they allow WAMB to maintain the trails, because those trails are one of the shining gems of Winona.
