Just ate a pork green chile verde burrito, and a bean and cheese and tried the red pork red chile burrito-they're all "bomb"!! The green chile burrito was spicy and well seasoned, the bean & cheese was like homemade very good and the red chile pork bomb as well! Would recommend. We live a couple blocks away, so we often went to Super Burrito. The food and Customer Service were always satisfactory. Recently, I ordered a Super Burrito and was charged extra for shredded beef. When I got home I unwrapped a very small, child sized Burrito. Yesterday, my wife was out riding her electric bike and stopped for an order of fries. It was going to be $3 and something. She asked for ranch dressing and the total was over $13! She said that was too much and wanted her money back. The girl at the counter said, "Well then, don't come here if you're broke!" A very small in the wall in San Bernardino served me the best menudo ever. I been on the search for menudo for a long time. Who knew that I would find it here. I want to check out Super Burrito after reading the story that Art Santoya retired on 1/1/2022 and sold it to Fred, his long time cook. I was so happy to see that familiar menu on the window. He may have adjusted the price here and there but they are still a good deal. One change I did notice is there is a lady at the counter taking orders. I wonder if she is a member of the family. I ordered my usual, a chicharron burrito, and it has that flavor I remembered and missed ~ slightly spicy and juicy, very satisfying. Well good things don't last. I had been a patron of Super Burrito since the 70's, 80, 90's and even when I moved out of the area I' d make a pass through while visiting family. Didn't realize Art sold until I went there today and was greeted or actually not greeted by some girl behind a screen. Not friendly, very rushed and there was no one in front or in back of me. They had a big sign next to the window that indicated a price increase on shredded beef but didn't show the price. The original menu still on the window said 9.99. My jaw dropped when she told me my shredded beef and cheese burrito was over $17. Stupid me I paid it and can say that burrito was not worth that whatsoever. Not the same as when Art ran the show. The hard shell tacos are not packed like they used to. it looks like they're stingy on the meat and everything that goes in it. I went back and asked for napkins, they only gave me three..smh!! FYI: The dark objects in my own picture are NOT, and I repeat, are NOT rodent droppings. What can be mistaken in green pozole( my own) or in a Chili Verde Burrito from this or other Mexican restaurant is in fact OREGANO! The spice is a staple in Verde recipes. Just passed by this place today and decided to give it a try. 1. The Bomb burrito nice and big. Sauce, could use more flavor also more meat. All together not bad at all great touch on the sour cream on the side. A little pricey only because lack of meat. 2. Jumbo burrito nice and big although it has good flavor lacks meat also it includes jalapeños which it is ok but, it does not mention in the menu. Dont let this little unassuming little burrito stand fool you... this is hands down the best burrito in SB. They are delicious and huge!! They are a staple in the community and have been here for 50 years! The line is always long at lunch but they are pretty quick to get the orders out. Definitely recommend the bomb burrito and the IE burrito. They are the top two most ordered. I myself am a sucker for lengua .. so I usually order a lengua burrito with everything and green salsa. I'm not usually a wet burrito kind of girl..but this burrito definitely made me wet. I thought the red had a deeper flavor but I would get the green if you prefer spice.
