    Carne asada quesadilla
    Kimberly A.

The pozole was flavorful and had just the right amount of heat. The tender chunks of pork and hominy were a great combination and filled me up. The quesadillas were also a great choice and filled with melted cheese and flavorful meat. Definitely hit this place up if you want a comfort meal. Also the guy was nice and will definitely go again to try out more of his food.

    Pupusa de masa

I can't believe they sell pupusas, with no filling and pure masa. I bought one cheese and two mixta pupusas. I ate one and it was pure masa, we threw the other two away. It was pretty gross and I'd be embarrassed to sell food like this. Attached are a few pictures. Also I understand Wednesdays are the pupusa specials but don't do that to people. No tienen verguenza. To make matters worse they burnt the masa and the little cheese they put in spilled out of the pupusa and got burnt as well.

"Carne asada" fries more like boiled/groun beef/mystery meet with no taste and the cheese tasted soapy...

Sad to say the "Carne Asada" on the carne asada fries tasted more boiled then asada. It looked almost like boiled ground beef and tasted like it looked, just bad. Also, Don't know how you can mess up can nacho cheese but it tasted soapy. The specialty here is pupusas, sad to say mine looked like the cheese spilled when they heated and what was left was an empty thick tortilla with uncooked dough on the thicker ends... finally the menudo was bland just no flavor. Really wanted to like this place, food was not edible and it was not cheap...

Great place for a fast inexpensive lunch. Great food and extremely friendly service. I love trying local spots when I travel, and Rico's didn't disappoint.

Service is friendly as ever. But at the menu prices I really feel like I'm paying for the view instead of the food itself. Notably, $13 for ice cream nachos. This is what we came for. This time the serving was 4 measly chips with a half scoop of ice cream and what seemed like the dying breath of a whipped cream can. Oh and the chips themselves that I remembered as crispy and airy were stale and rubbery. It was heart wrenching tbh. Oh and me and my boyfriend are currently playing rock paper scissors for the bathroom so there's that. Please get it together, we really wanna come back!

Super flavorful and well seasoned. There is a small parking lot inside/behind the business. Anyways. I wish they had ONE salsa that wasn't spicy. Maybe the green tomatillo one was mild but other than that theyre all spicy. My husband's burrito was fire. He used the red spicy salsa. My tacos were fire. I would come back now that I know the spot. I would take them to go even though they have sitting inside. Good customer service. The staff were nice.

After a long week and zero desire to cook on a Friday night, I finally decided to give it a try. When I pulled up, the line was surprisingly short, which felt like a good sign. The order window is right out front, and the menu is simple and familiar: tacos, burritos, sopes, tortas, quesabirria. I ordered a little bit of almost everything: asada street tacos, a bean and cheese burrito, beans and rice, an asada mulita, an al pastor sope, and a quesabirria. Prices were reasonable, and I spent under $50 for the whole spread. Food came out in about 15 minutes and was packed neatly. The disappointment started once I got home. There was no salsa in the bags, which already put us at a disadvantage. Only then did I realize there's apparently a salsa bar inside along with a small seating area, something you don't see from the front order window. Had I known that, I would've grabbed what we needed before leaving. Then we opened the tacos and realized they came completely plain... no onion, no cilantro, nothing. Just tortillas and meat. Not exactly what I expected. Visually, everything else looked fine, so I was hoping the flavor would make up for it... but it didn't. Everything tasted bland, like the seasoning took the night off. The only thing I halfway enjoyed was the beans and rice, and my family felt the same way. Maybe my expectations were too high based on the crowds I always see, but everything tasted like tortillas, meat, and cheese... and not much else. I'll give them credit for fair pricing and quick service, but that's about it. I really wish the cashier had mentioned that the tacos come plain or pointed me toward the salsa setup. Overall, not the experience I expected, and not one I'd rush back for.

Although their prices are high, $16 for a torta, it's usually worth it, because their portions are quite generous. Earlier today, I ordered a torta to go, and I ended up extremely disappointed when I got home. It had literally half the meat, half the beans, and half the cheese that it normally does. This was the first time I'd been disappointed with their food, but I decided to call and express my dissatisfaction. I was passed to the manager who handled the situation in the most unprofessional way. I explained the issue to him, and he insisted that my torta today had the same amount of meat, beans, and cheese as always. I disagreed with him, and he responded angrily, "Everybody makes mistakes!" He raised his voice and repeated it a couple of times. It was completely bizarre that he chose to speak to me as if I was the one who'd done something wrong. It's very childish to do a subpar job and then get upset and frustrated when you're called on it. An adult apologizes and pledges to not blow it again. Anyhow, I don't tolerate disrespectful people so I'm done. I won't spend another penny there.
