It's been years since I've been year. Many years and if im not mistaken went by 99 Cents Chinese food or had a sign with that. I Always tell my wife about this place and we finally went yesterday. It's located in a small plaza and has ample parking. I got there at 530 and ordered two plates with sweet and sour chicken and orange chicken. And one Spicy orange chicken with noodles. The young lady was very nice and courteous. The two plates was just under twenty and good for two meals. The chicken was excellent especially the spicy orange chicken. The noodles were ok, might try the rice next time. I like supporting small businesses and will come by more often.

    Variety of deliciousness!

I have come to this location since I was a kid. Not sure if the name has changed or not but they have always served Chinese food to-go. I love how convenient this spot is. There is always enough parking, the customer service is always wonderful and the food is always delicious. The prices are amazing and they are cash only. I love their fried chicken and they do offer party platters.

The food was pretty good and the lady that served me was very nice. This place is very affordable, only 5.75 for a 3 item plate. I recommend you try there sweet and sour chicken, it's very good. Cons- -They have a fountain drink machine, but it doesn't work. -Place is very small, I'm going to guess about 6 people fit in the eating area. -No ac in the restaurant, so you better make your order to go. -They only take CASH, so NO credit or debit cards accepted.

Every time I stop by Subway next door, I always get the urge to stop by here and try it out but I never have cash on me. I absolutely hate when business don't accept debit/credit. Anyway, It's a small joint and kept clean. I had the basic steam rice/noodles, orange chicken and beef & broccoli for $4.50, not bad at all. The lady seriously HOOKED it up. My friend and I ate of that plate and we both were full. The orange chicken was tasty. Very good! The noodles for some reason smelled somewhat to a cigarette bud. But, it defiantly had a burnt smell to it. Overall. I'm giving this place 3.5 stars because its cheap, decent food with really good orange chicken and good quantity.

It's pretty solid if you don't want to spend much but the food is a little bland. The location itself is pretty small but not too bad.

Food is always fresh, delicious, comes out piping hot and fast!…read more There's a reason why this place gets so busy, the service is awesome, quick, friendly, and straight to the point. It's a small shop with about 10-12 tables, but very warm and cozy. They also do party platters. So in case you're in a pinch, they'll get your orders to you with a quickness!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at Tasty Malatang Chinese Cuisine was…read moredisappointing because of the customer service. According to the restaurant's posted hours, they close at 10:00 PM. My family and I arrived around 9:15 PM, expecting that we still had enough time to order dinner. As soon as we walked in, the server immediately told us they were already closed. My mother politely pointed out that the posted closing time was 10:00 PM and simply asked if the kitchen happened to close earlier than the dining room. Instead of explaining the situation professionally, the server responded in a very rude tone: "Well, you guys can eat and order, but at 10:00 PM you need to be gone and out the door." Another employee then stepped in to back him up, making the interaction feel even more uncomfortable. I completely understand how the restaurant business works. I've been around the industry long enough to know that kitchens often stop taking orders before closing or that staff are trying to finish cleaning at the end of the night. If they had simply said, "We're sorry, but our kitchen is already closed," or even, "We can still serve you, but we're finishing up for the night," we would have completely understood. There was no reason to speak to us disrespectfully. What made this experience frustrating is that we never came in with an attitude or demanded special treatment. We were polite from the moment we walked through the door. We simply asked a reasonable question based on the restaurant's posted business hours, and instead of receiving a courteous explanation, we were met with unnecessary hostility. Customer service is just as important as the food. A welcoming attitude can make guests want to return, while a rude interaction can overshadow everything else. Unfortunately, this experience left such a negative impression that I won't be returning. I also would not feel comfortable bringing my family or recommending this restaurant to friends because everyone deserves to be treated with basic respect. I hope management takes this review as constructive feedback and reminds their staff that even when it's close to closing time, a little kindness and professionalism go a long way.

This Chinese food spot is a mom & pop, hole in the wall type of place but usually that's where all the good family style food usually is. Service was very quick and nice, no complaints. I ordered a small $1.00 fried rice enough to feed one person and an entree of salt & pepper chicken wings for $16.99 and honestly that is a really great price for 12 big wings. Considering how a lot of Chinese restaurants are now charging $20 dollars and up for the same dish. Flavor was everything I was craving for. Salt & chili flakes were well balanced, wings were coated extra crunchy topped with the green onions. I also appreciated that the wings were not just salt flavor! I despise a dominating salt flavor when they are supposed to be s&p wings! Panda chef delivered on my first try and I definitely will try again!

I live in Chula Vista so when they opened this location in Chula Vista I got excited, prices are a bit higher here due to different city & it ain't the same staff but the staff here is still very good. The food tho is as good, best ChinaExican food I've ever had, I call it that because it's a perfect flavor mix of Chinese & Mexican food it's like eating Chinese Mexican food. That's why it's always busy with Tio's & Tia's & the raza eating here & the owner is real nice & friendly he's in both locations. Best Pollo Cantonese & Duck Soup (no bones) is here hands down! Their red pork & Chop Chuey is one of the best around & don't forget to get the Egg Rolls their big & flavorful. The workers are Chinese but know better Spanish then me & I'm Mexican bilingual! They have officially earned my top spot in the Eastlake/Otay Ranch area for salt and pepper wings. The seasoning was outstanding, but the real star of the dish was the crispy garlic and crunchy topping. It added so much flavor and texture that I couldn't stop eating it. The shrimp were perfectly fried--crispy on the outside while still juicy and tender inside, never overcooked. The chicken wings were extra crispy with incredible flavor in every bite. I also ordered the fried rice, which was delicious and paired perfectly with everything else. This order was delivered through DoorDash, and I was genuinely impressed. The food arrived piping hot, fresh, and well-packaged, tasting like it had just come out of the kitchen. That's not always the case with delivery, so it definitely stood out. If the food is this good by delivery, I can't wait to dine in and experience it fresh from the restaurant. iWok has definitely become one of my go-to spots, and I'll absolutely be ordering again.

The salt & pepper shrimp was the star for me -- light, airy, crispy, and not greasy at all. The wings had great flavor and a nice crunch, though they were a little heavy on the salt. The orange chicken was good, but it didn't completely wow me. The fried rice paired really well with everything on the plate, though I probably wouldn't order it as a standalone item. The cheese wontons were tasty, but since we ordered takeout, I'm not sure if they accidentally forgot the sweet dipping sauce that usually comes with them. Overall, the food was fresh, portions were generous, and the experience was enjoyable. Next time, I'll definitely dine in to get the full experience!
