First time at Yungli Restaurant, this last week of December 2025. This restaurant is located on the southern part of Broadway St, near Main Street. Arrived for dinner with a party of 4. First thing I noticed was that immediate acknowledgment and allowing me to choose the table of my choice. Young lady greeted us at the table and speaking fluent Spanish. Ordered the family meal that feeds 4-6 along the Jasmine hot tea. The tea was hot but slightly bland. Nothing a small packet of sugar can't fix! L Roughly 10 to 15 minutes, our food started arriving. Piping hot and smelling delicious. Everything was so good! Vegetables, rice, chicken and soup all seasoned just right. Portions definitely can feed 6 people. We had plenty of food left so we asked for some to go boxes. Please note! They charge $0.50 cents per "to go" container. Which, I've never heard of in my life! Oh well, now you know. Will I come back? Yes! Overall experience is worth coming back.

Good Chinese food is getting harder and harder to find these days. It seem that after the pandemic happened, unfortunately a lot of places closed the shutters for good, and some of the lucky ones that are still around only have a take-out model. Don't get me wrong, take out isn't bad most of the time. It's got a charm to it. Sitting at my table, in my living room, on the couch eating greasy grub is amazing. However, there's an experience of the ambiance of an excellent and well decorated Chinese restaurant with great food. This is one of those spots. They have the fish tank you used to stare at as a kid, the neon lights, and great artwork and figures. It's lovely. My first experience here was on a Monday night. I feel like most places aren't too busy on a Monday night. This place was packed. And it was about 8PM. We started off with some tea, egg rolls, crab Rangoons, and a cup of egg drop soup. Egg Drop soup is one of those things that I feel can really set the tone for a Chinese restaurant around here. Theirs is amazing. It's thick, almost jelly like, and salty, and full of egg. The broth is rich and tasty. Mmmmm. The egg rolls are decent. I could go on a rant about egg rolls not being how they used to, but I won't. I don't know if anyone will read the rest of this so here it is. Just show up here. I'm sure everything is amazing. The crispy beef and HK Noodles are absolutely on point. I will totally visit this spot. At this point, other than Emerald, this is it for San Diego Chinese.

Top tier Chinese food! Very tasty with huge portions. Great customer service too. We went during an early lunch hour so it was pretty empty but they were very attentive the entire time. Ordered the Szchewan Chicken, Shrimp Chow Mein, Salt n Pepper Chicken Wings and Sesame Chicken (although I'm pretty sure they gave us orange chicken but we didn't complain cuz it ended up being really good). Best item was the chow mein followed by the Szchewan chicken- SO much good flavor in both of those but honestly all 4 items were excellent. Will definitely be back.

Will definitely go back here. Customer service is great. And they speak fluent Spanish. Family size servings. Salt N Pepper skinless shrimp was different, first time trying it. Will get it again next time. My wife and I like their yakisoba.

Fast service, friendly people, great tasting food. If you haven't tried salt and pepper porkchops, you are sleeping. The best porkchops, in my humble opinion.

This was the absolute best brunch I've ever had. We collectively got the gluten-free French toast,…read morea breakfast bowl, and their house-made gluten-free bagel, and it was divine. We also took home some baked goods. It's so hard to find gluten-free French toast and baked goods that are actually good, and these were UNBELIEVABLE. You would never guess they were gluten-free. The vibe was cute and laid back and the service incredible. Despite the fact that it was very busy, the food came out really quickly. I will absolutely head back down to IB just to come here again. 10/10 recommend.

They also have a young man who plays jazz piano there every Sunday, so the ambiance is pretty awesome along with the nice weather. Sometimes it can get windy so bring a sweater, but otherwise, it's usually a really nice day to hang out with friends and family. I also had a matcha ginger thyme latte with oat milk which was just tasty since ginger is a rare flavor in coffee drinks. I loved it, and it was so good that I took an extra one home. The service is amazing, and on busy days you may have to wait a bit, but it's worth it. If you have any questions about a dish, don't hesitate to ask!

We enjoyed trying authentic Italian cuisine at Balsamico Italian Kitchen in Imperial Beach, CA…read more The first time I had a taste of this restaurant was during a Yelp Elite Week event and so glad we finally had a chance to try it because everything we ordered was excellent 5/5 stars!! The owners are from Modena, Italy sharing their delicious recipes from back home. I had to do a little research on Modena because I had never heard of this city. It's north of Tuscany. Modena is a city in Italy's Emilia-Romagna region, famous for its UNESCO World Heritage historic center, luxury car industry (Ferrari & Maserati), and world-renowned gastronomy, particularly traditional balsamic vinegar, Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, and Lambrusco wine. The restaurant provided complimentary bread with their homemade balsamic vinaigrette, which was excellent!! We recommend trying the following dishes: *Lobster Ravioli (MY FAVORITE) *Bolognese Lasagna *Mushroom Ravioli *Calamari Appetizer -w/restaurant made marinara The restaurant makes their own pasta. For dessert, we recommend trying their restaurant made: * Tiramisu *Crème brûlée (MY FAVORITE) The restaurant offers cooking classes for adults and children (6+) so be sure to check out their instagram page for workshop dates and times. There's indoor and outdoor seating with enough room for large groups. We had excellent customer service by server Jacob and are definitely coming back soon; check it out!! Happy Yelping :)

When I came in to pick up my food there was no one at the host stand and it seems like there was one waiter running the whole show during busy lunch time. This place named itself "sushi bar," but it also says it's an authentic Mexican seafood restaurant?…read moreThat feels like an identity crisis lol. I was given chips, salsa, and an appetizer soup thing in a cup. The chips were fine. I thought the soup was alright. I didn't like the salsa as I found it too watery and lacking in flavor, more like a hot sauce than a salsa. I ordered two hand rolls, a spicy tuna roll and a salmon skin roll. I thought they were good. I found the salmon skin too crispy and deep fried for my preference, but it was still good. Finally, I realized that not only do I never eat authentic Mexican seafood, I'm not even sure what that entails. So I dug through the menu and saw something called "Don Tono," described as stuffed with seafood, but without much other explanation. I asked the waitress what this Don Tono is exactly, and to my surprise, she wasn't sure either. So, of course I had to order it. It was a big thing of aluminum foil with goodies inside, kinda like a seafood bake. It was good, although I found the flavor to be a undertuned. I would've liked some Cajun seasoning. The best texture and taste was probably the fish itself as it was light and flaky without being mushy, and it absorbed the umami of some of the other seafood. I thought the shrimp and shellfish were just okay, and maybe just a tad overcooked for me. Honestly, I was also not a huge fan of the cheese here; I feel like it doesn't quite fit. I also got some rice and salad with it, which were both fine.

Everyone was dressed up, the vibes were amazing, and the food was delicious from start to finish. The pan dulce was so soft and fresh that it honestly tasted homemade. They also had live music starting around 11 AM, and the way they celebrated birthdays made the experience feel even more special and lively. I was told I NEED to come back and try the seafood, so that's definitely happening on my next visit. Since they recently opened, expect it to be very busy. I went around 10 AM on a Tuesday morning and it was already packed. Parking in the area is pretty tight and not the greatest, but honestly, if you can make your way down there, do it. I had such a great experience that I'm already thinking about booking my mom's birthday here. Definitely recommend for the vibes, music, and overall experience.
