Why you ask? - On August 27, 2025 at 7:01 AM, when we entered Food World located at 4209 Avenue D, Brooklyn, New York 11203, a "so-called" manager described as M/A/medium - large build/short height/spoke with an accent was standing and facing the produce area as soon as you enter Food World. After greeting this "manager", he responded with, "Why are you here so early? There is no one here!" This "manager" begrudgingly and caustically entered Food World's meat department, grabbed a knife to cut an end of weighed produce for purchasing, and REFUSED to cut the opposite end of our produce because this "manager" said, "This is cheap enough? I (Food World) have to get something! I am not cutting it (the weighed produce) again!" For years, we have shopped at the Pathmark Supermarket on Albany Avenue in Brooklyn, New York less than five blocks away and NEVER experienced such rude, disrespectful, lack of courtesy towards customers, and down right discontent towards customers taking advantage of a food supermarket opening early in the morning.
