Went to Super G Market for the first time with my lady to do some random shopping and we ended up getting a bunch of pork belly in various forms and sizes! Service is great and the cashiers are really knowledgeable. The young guy that helped us out was able to type in the various forms of mushrooms that we picked up. I couldn't remember what the names were. Lol, I love this store for their wide selection of ethnic and cultural specialties. They carry every cut of chicken beef and goat imaginable. And some I didn't even know existed. Either way, definitely a must try and if you go to the grocery store, make sure you try the food court next-door. It is an Asian food lovers dream food court with an Asian snack store, an arcade and a cocktail bar!

Amazing place to try all sorts of Asian cuisine. Highly recommend! There was space for families, a live DJ, and out door area. Most of our food was prepared quickly. Friendly vendors. Definitely will return.

Super G Mart is a grocery store offering a variety of international foods. My son and I love coming here with the intention of trying new and unique foods that we may not be able to find anywhere else. This location is well maintained and seems larger than the one in Independence. However, I feel like the other location has more of a variety. This location also has a tous les jours bakery/cafe located on the inside. The service is okay, nothing special. Everyone is just doing there job, don't expect to be greeted or acknowledged. It's clean, most likely will have what you're looking for.

I went to this store off a recommendation, and it did not disappoint. First of all it was way bigger than I anticipated, and bigger was definitely better in this case. They had a dazzling assortment of Asian goods, Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese, etc..., and they also had goods from various Latin American countries, the Middle East, and the Caribbean. I wish I knew about the store earlier. The photos I included were because I showed my friend that they did in fact have Ting, which is a Jamaican grapefruit soda. Everything is very well laid out in the store also making it easy to navigate with the clear signage. If I wasn't pressed for time I could have easily spent more than an hour in there shopping around and having to cart a whole extra checked bag home. Towards the back left of the store, and I recommend getting there early, they have hot food prepared before the attached food court even opens, which I'm told has even more selections. I got a beef bulgogi and rice, and I wasn't even hungry, but it smelled so good and hit the spot later! If you're in Charlotte, Pineville, or Greensboro, NC then you must stop in. Whether you're looking for some snacks, drinks, sauces, noodles, meats, etc... this store has the goods! I just wish they had something like it in Louisiana!

I found it. The Asian market of my dreams! Unfortunately it's 1.25 hours from my home, but we can drive to Charlotte atleast once a month to check it out- because IT HAS EVERYTHING. It reminds me of Hmart, but it's not just Asian items, it's international, so we saw MORE than we ever expected! It also has a Tours le Jour Asian bakery inside (OMG, soo much good stuff- but be prepared to wait in line), and Alley 51 is connected to it, which is an Asian food court. Delish!! Yep, we plan to come back, over & over again!! Side bar: Be prepared to deal with HORRENDOUS TRAFFIC trying to get into the parking lot, it was NUTS, but it was well worth it.

Huge huge huge store. This supermarket is the size of a Walmart but it's nearly all groceries. Large produce section, large butchery and lots of aisles all clearly laid out. Sections for different ethnic and regional foods so if you're looking for Instant Noodles or Japanese Ramen or Chili Oil or Curry Paste, it's all here. Asian, Caribbean, European, it's all here. Prices looked really good and I was able to pick up everything on the shopping list and even grab a few things to make a nice chicken curry for dinner this evening. Self-checkout worked well and I was on my way. [Review 543 of 2024 - 3601 in North Carolina - 21575 overall]

For me as a Venezuelan, I really appreciate the Venezuelan snacks, harina PAN for the arepas and the Venezuelan cheeses. I also go to the Asian section to get weird flavored chips, Mochis, a lot of Frozen dumplings. It's never a complete trip if you don't go to the restaurant area and get some food to eat there and some pastries to take home. Finish the day with a excellent boba tea

Super G Mart on Independence is one of Charlotte's most fun grocery adventures…read more If you love exploring new ingredients, discovering international snacks, or simply wandering through aisles you've never seen before, this place is worth the trip. While the Pineville location remains my favorite thanks to its larger food hall and dining options, the Independence store still delivers an impressive experience. The selection is enormous. You'll find fresh produce from around the world, exotic fruits and vegetables, live seafood, blue crabs, an on-site fishmonger, and a full-service butcher counter. The international grocery selection is where this store really shines. Aisles are packed with staples from across Asia, Europe, Latin America, and beyond. Whether you're shopping for Thai curry paste, Vietnamese rice noodles, Japanese snacks, Korean sauces, Spanish ingredients, or Eastern European treats, chances are you'll find it here. One feature I especially enjoy is the freezer section. The cases are organized by country and cuisine, making it easy to browse and discover new foods. It's a small detail, but it turns grocery shopping into a bit of an adventure. On this visit, I came specifically for Korean black bean paste, dark soy sauce, and fresh green beans. Naturally, I left with a few extras. The candy aisle is dangerous in the best possible way. Their coconut candies are always tempting, and I can never resist grabbing a bag of Thai coffee candies while I'm there. The store has a large private parking lot and a loyalty program that offers additional discounts at checkout. If you're a frequent shopper, it's worth signing up. Is it as polished as some specialty markets? No. Is it one of the most interesting grocery stores in Charlotte? Absolutely. Give yourself time when you visit. This isn't the kind of place where you run in for one item and leave five minutes later. It's a place to wander, explore, and discover something new around every corner. Life is too short not to eat well, Charlotte. Grab a cart, take your time, and eat your way through Super G Mart.

The cashiers were even pretty friendly. They do have a club membership deal kind of like most of our major grocery stores in the area so you can get discounts on future purchases. It was cool. The cashier didn't ask kindly, didn't clarify, just immediately assumed the worst and treated me with blatant disrespect in front of my children. To make matters even more infuriating, my elderly mother who was just trying to help separate our groceries had a plastic divider thrown at her by the cashier, who barked, "If you aren't paying for the other customer's groceries, you need to put that down." Excuse me?? Who talks to anyone, let alone a senior, like that? The entire transaction was hostile, uncomfortable, and humiliating. I was shaken, my daughter was upset, and it was clear this employee had no interest in basic decency or customer service. To top it all off and I wish this was an exaggeration multiple items in the produce section had visible MOLD. I originally wasn't going to say anything I was just going to assume maybe it was a bad time to shop and they just maybe didn't change things over but I started looking around and wondering, how many others have been mistreated...It feels like this place is completely falling apart in so many ways. We used to know this store so well I could list off prices without looking. But I'll gladly save myself the extra out of the way 15-minute drive now and head to Super G Mart where there's better variety, better prices, respectful staff, and an amazing bakery and hot food section. This place? It's become a complete and utter disgrace. I'm never coming back. Ever.
