Very friendly staff! The supermarket has everything you need to prepare a meal or order one to go. They also have other grocery items available.

Loved the Mysore masala dosa from the food truck. The sambar was nice as well, not watery.

We came here with friends to try the food truck behind the supermarket. Unfortunately, they were out of Uttapam and Dosa the day we went, so we definitely need to go back. We ordered one of everything else they had: - Poori - Medu Vada - Ghee Karam Idli - Upma - Idli My favorite things were the Upma, Ghee Karam Idli, and Medu Vada. I highly recommend going with a few people and trying as much of the menu as you can!

Another Indian grocery in the area and that's a good thing. This one is larger than the India Grocers https://www.yelp.com/biz/india-grocers-pineville?hrid=aWnkPNvJzVfPfpzkpRFx3A that is about a half mile away. All the goodies you would expect for South Asian foods. Lots of packaged snacks and spices and canned goods. Bunches of vegetables that you won't find in Publix or Harris Teeter. Many, many coolers and freezers with all sorts of Indian delicacies and interesting items. Prices seemed quite reasonable to me. I managed to pick up a few vegetables, some garlic naan bread and a box of tea. We're having curry for dinner tonight, that's for sure! It's not a very big parking lot and with a few corners, it's a challenge. Also, not too many shopping carts. Masks are required and there is a good plexiglass partition at the registers. I was pleased. [Review 14952 overall, 454 of 2021, number 2843 in North Carolina.]

This is a well stocked and well run grocery store with a Halal Meat Market, a food court and bakery. Be careful when ordering cooked meat options because it seems like they use a band saw to cut up the meat and there are bones, shards and fragments a plenty. My pint of curry had about a cup of bones. So chew carefully.

Everything was out of this world. Start with the savory chicken tikka dosa, then get mysore baji, finish with spicy goat biryani.

You can buy rubs, marinades, salads, sides, bread, rolls, desserts, etc. They also have frozen wild game if that is what you are into. It was unfortunate that half their store did not have power as we were not able to see any of the meat or fish on display. iI was ok we were not able to hand select our steaks or fish - the store has such a great reputation we were not too worried about what we would end up with. We decided to order 4 prime marinated NY strip and 2 tuna steaks. They make theur own naribade so we had to try it. We also wanted to try one of frozen pre-made meals so we chose the sausage and pasta with vodka sauce. While in line to checkout we saw more than a few people with trays of cinnamon buns so we had to try them as well. This is a summery of our purchased food:. The cinnamon rolls were grainy. Not smooth. I think they were old (I had to pull them from the back). The steaks had a great flavor as the marinade was really good. Three of the 4 steaks were over cooked because we were given 4 different sized steaks. 2 got burnt the third was well done....$60 wasted. The tuna was good but again they gave us one large steak and one thinner one so the smaller was was dry....another $15 wasted. If I can make any suggestion....do not make a purchase without seeing what you are buying. $136.00 later I can say I was disappointed because of the unevenness it was cooked improperly. 4 stars because the cook is partially to blame. 3 stars otherwise. The sales person is the first person that should know better than to sell meat and fish the way they did. Ruined my Christmas meal. Only 1 of us ate. :(

I frequent both locations -- the one on Independence and the newer,…read morelarger store in Pineville -- and this one feels like a destination in itself, especially with the huge food court. As a transplant to Charlotte for work, I'm always searching for the ingredients and flavors I grew up with, and this place delivers. From the fresh seafood counter -- where you'll find beautiful tiger prawns -- to the endless rows of fish sauce, oyster sauce, and every variety of soy sauce imaginable (sweet, dark, mushroom, Japanese), the selection is impressive. The aisles are thoughtfully organized by cuisine and region, which makes navigating the store surprisingly easy, even if you're new to Asian markets. The frozen section alone is worth the trip. If you're looking for dumplings -- Chinese, Japanese, Korean, even Nepalese -- they've got you covered. And don't sleep on the handmade crepe cakes in the freezer. Yes, they're about $25, but they're stunning and absolutely delicious. Honestly, they rival the famous crepe cakes from Lady M in the San Francisco Bay Area, where those cakes can easily run over $100. At this price point, it feels like a steal -- and you'll definitely impress your guests. The produce section is another highlight. The ginger is incredibly fresh, and the variety is fantastic -- from gai lan and sweet chives to cebollitas (Mexican green onions) and crisp green beans. It's a true sensory experience for anyone who loves to cook. This isn't a trendy, boutique grocery store, and that's exactly the charm. It's old-school, practical, and stocked with the essentials. Toward the back right corner, you'll find pallets of noodles in every style -- Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean -- everything you could possibly need for home cooking. The butcher and fishmonger are also available to help, which adds a nice personal touch to the shopping experience. There's also a bakery inside with beautiful fruit-and-cream cakes -- the kind you'll recognize if you've ever celebrated in an Asian household. Light, fresh, and not overly sweet. And if you're a coffee lover, keep an eye out for Café du Monde coffee -- it's usually several dollars cheaper here than at typical grocery stores. A few friendly tips: * Go with a plan -- this place can be overwhelming in the best way. * Don't bring a big entourage unless they're ready to explore. * And if you visit the Pineville location, go hungry -- the food court alone is worth the trip. Both locations are fantastic, but the Pineville store is newer, larger, and especially fun to explore. Shop curious, cook boldly, and enjoy the adventure.

Had a friend originally from Columbia come for a visit and he loved all the items they had from when he was a kid. We actually had to send him home with an extra duffle bag to get all his goodies home. As a fun activity we did a fruit taste test and all of it was delicious. Love discovering new things. If you are looking for Ramen of all kinds, this is also your spot. Lots of options. Love discovering new things at Super G.
