This spot is a VIBE‼ Only thing missing was music...but that's ok too! The absolute best Masala Dosa in all of Charlotte. Unbelievably tasty and crunchy. Made fresh to order and best when eaten immediately. Operates at the back of the supermarket on Saturdays. The line stays long and the crowd almost never dies and wait times are low. Great operation!! Ample parking and covered outdoor seating. Very clean and very tidy!! Will definitely be back to try the idly!! Love finding spots like this. Highly recommend!! read more

I definitely do NOT recommend. I went into one of the isles and picked up two items which i saw the expiry date that was labeled for 2 weeks ago. Out of curiosity I picked up some of the other items from my cart and 3 of the items were also expired. The cafe food was rotten and when I complained about it to the server (who was on his phone until his colleague told him) just smelled it and had the audacity to tell me that it smelled fine. There was very little parking. I don't recommend. read more

We came here with friends to try the food truck behind the supermarket. Unfortunately, they were out of Uttapam and Dosa the day we went, so we definitely need to go back. We ordered one of everything else they had: - Poori - Medu Vada - Ghee Karam Idli - Upma - Idli My favorite things were the Upma, Ghee Karam Idli, and Medu Vada. I managed to pick up a few vegetables, some garlic naan bread and a box of tea. We're having curry for dinner tonight, that's for sure! Visited the store on June 4 2022. The young lady at the cash register was snobbish and acted like she did not want to cad out my order. This is a well stocked and well run grocery store with a Halal Meat Market, a food court and bakery. Be careful when ordering cooked meat options because it seems like they use a band saw to cut up the meat and there are bones, shards and fragments a plenty. My pint of curry had about a cup of bones. So chew carefully. read more

Ok so first thing I wasn't happy about was that the carts weren't sanitized! C'mon people! This virus is real, not 'fake' news!! We had just come from Patel brothers where they weren't cleaning carts either and although the door sign says masks are mandatory it is absolutely POINTLESS to wear a mask and not cover your nose!!! You wouldn't wear pants that have an open crotch or backside would you? Or use a condom with the tip cut off? Didn't think so, so next time anyone is tempted to uncover their nose please think of these analogies! This is by far the worst Indian Grocery store I've been to. First of all, the area is congested and hard to get into. If you manage to get in, there's very little parking. People do not understand one way/do not enter signs (sigh). Inside you will find chaos, rude employees and customers alike. For example a pack of parley G biscuits cost more than $4 in Triveni Vs little more than $2 in Patel brother. I shopped in Triveni then has to buy few more items in Patel brother which I could not find in Triveni. New Indian grocery store near the heart of Pineville. One big problem is that they have no electric carts for people with mobility issues. Shame on them. But this was like visiting a store in a foreign country. Loved all the vegetables that I had never seen anywhere else. We bought a plastic tub of dates that was so inexpensive. We also bought several tiny containers of Indian ice creams, of flavors that were unrecognizable, but delicious. There were aisles of spices that were as exotic as you could imagine. I also loved watching all the people. Let me just say that Indian kids are adorable. I wanted to do a photo shoot of everyone I saw! This will be the closest I ever get to India All in all, this store is very cool. If you like Indian food, look up some recipes and go find the ingredients at this store. It's a great combination of Grocery store, quick Indian street food and takeout. Plenty of Indian groceries. Chaat, Samosa, Chai and much more. We always go there for evening snacks and groceries. Staff is very friendly and service is good. Better than a typical desi store. read more

A mixed experience! This is small and clean place but don't have as much choices like other Indian grocery store. Had heard a lot about their chat corner but it was very average.The samosa seems to be the frozen ones deep fried - nothing outstanding. We liked the punugulu specially the chutney along with that was good. Having moved here from buffalo can I just say this place put every Indian store there to shame. Awesome selections, tons of options so happy to have found this place! Let me start with the phrase "I hate Patel Brothers outlet in Charlotte !" It's so cramped and badly structured that you won't get away without rubbing your body with strangers. I always said to myself each time I survived the grocery trip, "Wish there were another option" ! Behold ! It comes true!! And how ! This place is so spacious, clean, well-organized that it has given Patel Bros a run for their money ! It's not only about buying your grocery.. it's about the experience! You buy your stuff from a large array of options (Mind you, with date of expiry intact unlike other indian groceries near by) amidst the sumptuous aroma of biryani, the ever-exhausted baked samosa(yeah! It's that yummy), chaats, dosas and idli for breakfast, other vegetarian and non-vegetarian snacks etc. And as if that was not enough, they have a halal meat counter where you can get small packages of goat meat( you won't have to buy the full leg) and chicken and selected fish(Frozen of course! Fresh would have been a dream come true) Last but not the least you can indulge yourself at the dessert counter with some good looking cakes, Indian snacks and sweets. At the end of your trip there are spacious checkout counters( unlike the P-Bros, where it's a cramped voting center like situation) which makes the whole experience hassle free. It's probably doing so good that P-Bros replicated the chat and samosa counters after the heavy in-flow of the evening snackers into the Triveni! A+ for effort and achievement! I am never going to any other Indian supermarket other than Triveni ever! And this is the story of how I avoided Patel Brothers for life and lived happily ever after. Cheers! read more

This is the first Yelp review I have ever felt the need to review. We usually go to Patel brothers in Charlotte but wanted to check out Triveni as it is closer to us being in Ballantyne and also sells meat products such as goat. I will start with the good: The store is very clean that is a benefit, also not nearly as crowded as Patel brothers so easier to navigate. They also sell warm snacks (we didn't try) and have a bakery (cakes) The Bad: We asked for 2 pounds of goat meat, and it didn't seem like 2 pounds so we weighed it on our food scale at home, it was 27 ounces. We payed for a bit over 2 pounds. While it was only a few dollars we got jipped for it just reflects poorly on the butcher over all. Even worse, the quality of the meat was some of the worse quality we could have expected. It was mostly bone and tendon more than half of the 27 ounces. We purchased ice cream and cake from the bakery as well and you could tell that the ice cream had melted and been re-frozen and all the fat had separated out. The cakes were 2.99 a piece and nothing special (not bad but not good either). Overall pricing was a bit more expensive than patel brothers (compared common goods such as vegetables, yoghurt, sweets). They sold some warm snacks like Biryani but be ware the biryani sits outside on the counter top = asking for staph aureus and bacillus. In summary we felt cheated by the butcher and will not be coming back again. read more
