This is the hardest 5 stars I've ever given...why? Because I'm still emotionally recovering from my…read more$30 chicken swarma bowl. The food? Absolutely chef's kiss amazing. My chicken swarma bowl was so good I wanted to write it a love letter. But here's the twist: we're staying at an Airbnb in Whitefish and last night we scoped the menu. $30 for a bowl? Our husbands said, "No way are we paying that for chicken." Fast forward to tonight--husbands are out, we're feeling rebellious--so we smugly ordered the bowl. Well. Let's just say I've seen bigger portions in a happy meal. My friend and I looked at each other and knew instantly: karma. Our theory? If you dine in, you get a $30 adult portion. If you order takeout, you get the $30 airline snack portion. So, word to the wise: dine in, don't take out. We ended the night eating microwave popcorn from the Airbnb cupboard, pretending it was swarma, and silently admitting that--ugh--the husbands were right. But don't tell them. Ever. Bottom line: the food is incredible, but for your wallet's sake, eat it inside the restaurant.

This may be the best restaurant in Whitefish, MT. The unique mix of Mediterranean cuisines is…read morecreative, satisfying and special. This is not only a pita, humus, shawarmas kind of place - this blending takes from the entire Med sea area. There's beef, pork, chicken and veg offerings. Chef Adam is personable and the real deal. His chocolate desserts are famous! **And a note on the cost. Remember this is a resort town and all USA prices (been to the grocery lately) are up. Meals can be shared and wine/beer ordered by the glass. The quality is exceptional and that is priceless.

Okay, Sauce and Bread... where have you been all my life?!…read more This place is SO good. The pasta was incredible, the hummus and appetizers were fantastic, and then there's the homemade bread--which is honestly dangerous because apparently I have absolutely no self-control when warm homemade bread is involved. And somehow, the people were even better than the food. The owner might genuinely be one of the nicest humans on the planet, and the servers were amazing. Warm, funny, attentive, and they made us feel like we'd been coming there for years. Everything tastes homemade, authentic, and made with actual love--which sounds cheesy, but I stand by it. We came for dinner and left feeling like we'd been adopted into a Mediterranean/Italian family. 10/10 pasta. 10/10 hummus. 12/10 bread. 100/10 people. We will absolutely be back... probably sooner than we should.

Unfortunately the waiter took quite awhile to return with bread and oil and vinegar. We let him know our drink orders and he rushed quickly off to get them but due to the wait he should have asked for our dinner orders at the same time. Again it took longer than expected for him to return but he eventually did and took our orders. The bread basket was empty by this time but he didn't ask if we wanted more. (Ironic for a place called sauce and bread) That said, our entrees arrived quite fast and tasted great. We had spaghetti pomodoro, lasagna and a Dante's inferno with sausage. Overall my recommendation is to go here for the food more than the service. If they were to hire an additional waiter / waitress that would be fantastic. They appeared to have more buss-folks than they need if they needed to make a trade-off.
