Still in a bar n grill mood. So tried the Durham. Really wanted the spicy marg, they were out of the spicy tequila so no go. In Montana so had to go with the huckleberry mule. It was real good and tangy. Started with the fried green beans. The green beans had a nice fry and real good aioli. Had their fish tacos (the most popular entree). Wife had adult milkshake. I ordered Modelo especial. Server didn't know difference between Modelo Especial and Negro. Wow that's a first. Went from bad to worse. I asked if I could get burger medium rare and server said they come that way. So wrong. Road kill on 93 run over by semi would have had more flavor. Worst I have ever had. The fries were so miniscule it wasn't funny. Wife's adult milkshake gets the one star. Can't believe this joint has a 4 star review. Yelpers let me down. Sat at the bar on a Sunday morning for drinks and brunch. We were completely ignored even though we were the only ones at the bar. The restaurant was not crowded. They had 2 servers and one bartender. Waited almost 10 mins to have our drink and food order taken. Waited another 10 mins or more to finally get our drinks even though there was a dedicated bartender. Food took another 20 mins or more to get. Tortillas on the huevos rancheros were very tough to cut. Right after we ordered we over heard the staff talking about being out of home fries. Then shortly after that they were out of ice because the ice machine was not working enough to keep up. I got the biscuits and gravy and the biscuits were very dense and not a lot of gravy. Most who were seated at tables were having to come up to the bar to pay as the wait staff was inattentive to the tables. Also, we found out after we had ordered and eaten that they had several specials that the bartender forgot to mention to us. We heard her mention them to another couple next to us and she looked at us and said "sorry, I forgot to tell you". The specials board was to the right of the door as you leave. The service was very poor. We waited 25 minutes after our order to receive our food. They completely forgot the order for one in our party and it required another 15 minute wait to receive it. I was told they were waiting for the home fries which were NEVER served yet we were charged full price for the meal. The waitress never checked on us. We had 1 day in Polson, and the Durham was recommended to us by a local. We came in for lunch and immediately loved the modern logging camp style, complete with a moose head and bison head. The menu was full of delicious options and we chose the street tacos and fish tacos with an IPA and a Huckleberry cider. The tacos were extremely delicious, as we're the drinks. We liked it so much, we came back for dinner and split some mango habenaro wings, a blue cheese burger, and spicy carmel fries. We stopped here based on the advice from our VRBO host and were very happy we did. As others have mentioned, the street tacos are great! We actually had them twice. We sat at the bar each time, and the service we got from Liam and Sidnee was great. We only went during the week, so I cannot speak to how busy it might get on the weekend. The only reason we stopped by was because some locals told us about this place and highly recommended the Mac n cheese. We came here and ordered the breakfast shots which was 2 for $12. Comes with a piece of candied bacon which was my treat! The drink was pretty sweet, but the best part was the bacon anyways. We ordered the buffalo bacon blue Mac n cheese. The server placed on on another customer's table and it was sitting there for about 4 minutes. Although the patron confirmed that they did not touch it, who knows what happened. The server noticed it was on the wrong table and simply moved it back to our table. I kindly asked that they give me a new batch because it was on another table. The interior is small, but cozy. The staff is friendly and fairly attentive. The food was pretty good. The Durham burger is nothing special and that is what made it special!!!! I will definitely be going back here! They have a full bar and serve Non-alcoholic beer for ppl that still want the "beer" taste. Looking forward to the expansion and it's nice to have a place that looks more upscale with a decent menu in Polson. I really like the Durham. I sat at the bar and the bartender was super nice - we had a good conversation around the classic rock that was playing. Being a local Montanan I was pleased to see local beers on tap; especially Draught Works and Missouri River Brewing! For dinner I started with the garden salad (they Candy their bacon.....good lord it was so good.) and the Street Tacos that had steak in them as the protein. Both were delicious. "Almost a Shirley Temple" - NA with a different twist with Grenadine. Brought me back a little bit to when I was a kid. Service was also great. This is a newer place in town and while there are still some minor kinks to work out, mostly it's a perfectly adequate place to have a meal in a town that really lacks dining options. The big problem I had when I was there is that the place smelled of varnish pretty heavily. They were just opened and finishing some woodwork in the back. The smell was quite strong, and it couldn't be helped. They were one of only a few open places on a Monday night, so I persevered. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with bacon and avocado and a chipotle aioli. It was cooked well, and the chipotle aioli was not spicy, if you're fearful of heat. It was savory and I enjoyed it along with a beer and a side of beer battered fries. The place was adequately staffed and the food came out quickly.
