This wonderful store is located in the large shopping center on Carlisle Pike, and is situated across from the Target and Wegmans. I decided to turn to professionals after striking out on finding comfortable sneakers for spinning and walking. When I walked into the store I was immediately greeted by Fred who ended up helping me select appropriate shoes for my individual feet. The appointment started with a scan of both of my feet. They used a specialized machine to determine the size, width, and arch of my feet. Fred explained that he also observed me walking without shoes to see how my feet landed. He then selected about 4 pairs of shoes for me to start with. Fred was extremely patient as I tried each shoe. It was apparent that he is very knowledgeable and was striving to ensure that I was comfortable and pleased with my options. I ended up going with the On Cloudflyer 4 in the black/white color way. I also purchased the Swiftwick Flite XT socks in the gray/white color way. This is easily the best experience I have ever had with sneaker shopping. I will be returning to the store in ten days to get a second pair of shoes in a different color way.

Space-wise it's smaller than other outdoorsy stores in the area but the gears it carries somehow seems more unique and enticing and of higher quality. I know it's grand opening day and the number of staff may be inflated, but service here definitely stood out from its competitions. Aside from help on the floor, there is a bike service shop and a hiking trail mapping station; on top of that they offer trade-in and rental services. I think this co-op establishment has a tradition of taking vested interests for the betterment of trails and parks in the local community. So that's great news for hikers and bikers like us! They have life time membership program so make sure you sign up before your first purchase to take advantage of immediate discount for members only. The $20 cost is one time but the 10% dividends on purchases are lifetime.

Decent selection but some sizes were available, just in other Inside Track locations. I last shopped here when they were near Wegmans.

I had the worst experience at this DSW. There were a handful of hiccups through the return process but the young lady who was helping me did everything she could to make it go smoothly as possible. The real issue comes when I was handed my in-store pick up and it only contained two of the three shoes I paid for...insert Jillian... The little manager from Hell. She had come back-and-forth about the return but wasn't memorable until it came time to locate my missing shoe. I asked them if they had the shoe in store because they were unable to locate it amongst the online pick ups, she told me no and that the shoes were in Lancaster after some confusion and back-and-forth I said give me a minute. I walked away and immediately walked to the shoes, picked them up, brought them to the register and said "you lied! Not only do you have the shoes but you have a good number of them!" Jillian replied " congratulations now you can pay for them" (they were already paid for!). She was more content with allowing me to drive all the way to Lancaster to pick up the shoes rather than do her job and walk over to the children's section in her store and correct the issue. She was incredibly snarky, condescending, incredibly rude and was absolutely no help at all. The young lady at the register was visibly uncomfortable by her snarkiness and rudeness toward me. When I called her out on it she simply replied "it's my job", to which I informed her that her job is to be of assistance, none of which she has been and that I did her job for her by locating the missing shoes she then proceeded to tell me "good job want a raise?" She then told me that I could purchase the shoes I found in store because the ones I paid for were in Lancaster (although my pick up information said Camp Hill). If it weren't for the cashier who got on the phone with Lancaster and took care of the miscommunication, I would have either left with two shoes although paying for three or would have had to pay for a fourth pair of shoes while still not having the "missing shoe" Jillian alone is reason enough that I will no longer purchase from DSW
