AVOID! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! My car got stuck behind a car that fell off the track, which apparently happens regularly. Now my car has front and rear bumper damage and was stuck in the car wash for an hour. They need to actually fix their equipment so this stops happening or close down until this can operate responsibly. I was a frequent customer at the Super Star Car Wash franchise, having gone to mainly the one off Main St in Chula Vista and sometimes to the one on Plaza blvd in National City. This was my First and last time at this location and I'd say it was not a great experience at all. I used to always get the Super Protect Wash ($25), which is the highest tier, but I felt like the service I received was the basic wash. Not only that, the two top wipers did not function correctly as they spun but did not even touch my vehicle (suv). I opened my moonroof shade to confirm my suspicion and sure enough, nothing. Lastly, the air blower at the end didn't even turn on. I know this because I opened my window and once again...Nothing. I told the attendant about the top wipers issue, and she said she "knew" about the last set of top wipers not working, but not the first set. And I was just giving some feedback, not expecting anything from it, but as she walked away, she gave a quick smirk and kept it moving. I get it. It's only a $25 car wash. Why so upset? Well, it's definitely the principle of it. Imagine doing the monthly subscription that they always try and sell, and because this site is closest to you, you decide "what the heck, my car will be clean all the time. It'll pay off." But later you find out this car wash does 1/3 of a job you expect it to, and because they're broken, you have to go somewhere farther. Not cool. Am I asking for a refund? no. It'd be unfair for me to get a refund because other customers before and after me are using the same service all the while getting the same mediocre wash. Am I asking for the issue to be resolved? yes. Close it down temporarily, address the issue, and give the customers what they paid for. It's not a "only one discrepancy" kind of thing, it's quality service and reputation to uphold, especially for returning customers that value Super Star Car Washes. read more

TERRIBLE :( the rollers scratch the paint, and even with the mid-priced membership the car doesn't get washed properly. My account has been debited several times per month and overcharged. I disputed it through the website and after 15 days I still have not been reimbursed. Now I have had to cancel my membership to stop the overcharging and dispute it with my bank since the company has failed to reimburse my money back to my account. Never again! read more

This place is horrible. TWICE I've gone through the car wash and the roller dryers were on and they ripped the mounting racks off the top of my car. After the first time I spoke to the manager and said they need to shut those rollers off. They did for a while but today they were back on and it happened again and broke the piece of my car AGAIN. It's scratched up paint and my sun roof. I don't know why they can't fix this. They do NOTHING to reimburse you for the damage and I pay like $50/mo to this horrible place. Never again. read more

How can this business continue to charge full price for a wash when the car comes out more dirty then when I take it in. The car wash machines never work and it leaves the car soapy and the brushes don't even work properly, water pours so bad it doesn't even take off all the soap! Car wash opens at 7. I show up 705, and someone comes and tells me it's going to be 10-15 min delay. I wait the 15 min and approach the manager, who is just talking with another employee in the parking lot, both of them with their hands in their pockets. And he says it's going to be another 10-15 min. How about telling your customers who are waiting in line. That's what happens when you have incompetent people running these places. This place started off great w effective equipment, powerful vacuums, and clean rags. However, the place is getting run down pretty fast. I paid for a premium monthly membership and immediately noticed that the machines in the car wash were not working (e.g. tire shine, towel dry, and certain sprays). Though the monthly membership includes these, they are not functioning. This has been going on for months. I decided to cancel met membership after speaking w one of the reps and they let me know no price adjustment could be made. Basically, they are charging MANY customers for premium features that are not fulfilled since they are not functioning, or haven't been for months. read more

I never write reviews, but this time, I had to just because I am very upset about what just happened this evening. Therefore, I will take time of my day that I really didn't want to, to write this review. This is my third time visiting this place. The first two times customer service from the gentlemen standing next to the machine was good, very professional, so I purchased a membership. 10 minutes ago today, it was my third time visiting. I will paint the picture for you first. Today was one of those days where you just do chores, chill day, nothing really going on, went to the grocery store, mind my business, and I thought, "Oh! It may be a good idea to wash my car because I've been lazy." Fast forward, I drive to this Car wash, I drive straight to the license plate reader, and the first thing I hear is someone yelling HEY!! At first, I was "Oh crap I messed up". I assumed that I could go on that side because I am a member. I thought maybe the machine didn't work, idk, I didn't really care, but I did notice that it came up strong, "meh" I thought "it's whatever" and moved on. I followed instructions provided to move to the middle lane, and I was getting ready to give attention to the customer service gentleman. I noticed that the metal arm didn't open right away, and I thought it was strange since I am a member so I rolled my window seconds later. In the corner of my eye, I see the customer service gentleman staring at me already in discontent and in obvious annoyance. I say Hi! in a friendly manner and I mention that I have a membership, he proceeds to go to the back annoyed and takes a pic of my license plate to plug it into the machine on my right side, the side that I was originally blocked to get in. The gentleman says in an annoying tone "It says right here that you don't have a membership. I need the credit card you utilized." I responded confused and said "I do have a membership it's my 3rd time here." I immediately reached for my wallet to look for my card. For context, my 1st time here, I had just bought my car, so I originally registered with temporary plates. My 2nd time here same thing happened and the representative was able to find me in the system with my temporary DMV plates, he registered my new plates and I was able to proceed with the service, no issues. Today, I assumed this was fixed. Moving forward, I *ATTEMPTED* to explain this today to this gentleman since it is my 3rd time here. Unfortunately, I didn't carry the credit card that I utilized to prove my membership with them, but I did have a picture of my temporary DMV plates. Well, my ATTEMPT to even BEGIN my sentence to explain the situation completely went to the gutter. He cut me off in the most rude way possible at the beginning of my sentence and said MA'AM I DON'T NEED YOU TELL ME ANYTHING OTHER THAN YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER. He looked so goddamn miserable. Obviously, he didn't want to be there. I have not encountered someone so unprofessional in a really long time. I am not a confrontational person. Again, I tried to explain my day to the reader to paint the picture about my nonchalant, chill day, and holy shit dude. This guy was out of lane 100%, and I told him to let me leave because I didn't appreciate his attitude. His demeanor was extremely unprofessional. While I'm backing up, he has the audacity to tell his coworker in front of me that I didn't want to give him or I didn't have (can't recall the exact wording) my credit card number and acted like if he didn't know what just happened. What a clown, a grown man pretending to not be self-aware of his terrible attitude and bad customer service. As a person in a leadership position, he wouldn't be in my team AT ALL. The lack of accountability made this experience worse. There are more opportunities available for him if he hates his job. He carried himself in a very poor manner. I am canceling my membership, and I encourage everyone not to allow this kinda attitude and try to ruin your day. I will call the office tomorrow again. read more

CLAIM DENIED!!... over $5000 of damages!! this place responded to my last review stating they take customer service seriously, and that was clearly a lie! please see previous review for details (there was almost like 5 other cars that this happened to!) but after 2 weeks of nothing, they responded with "Denied" with no evidence or information to back that up. I WILL KEEP YOU POSTED ON HOW WE PROCESSED NEXT. but so far, unless you would like your car severely damaged and you want to go through hoops for them to cover it, i would advise you STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION! !!! read more

UPDATE as of 07/12/2024: This incident happened 07/07/2024, I have contacted the location, as well as emailed the customer service account through their website. And so far all I've gotten was an email from one of their reps stating that they will be handling my Claim. I did mention I use my vehicle for business, and I need this to be resolved sooner rather than later. So I have already sent over repair quotes as as the estimated time for repair. REPOST...From my other ACCOUNT. Claim Filed!!!!! PROCEED WITH CAUTION. Currently waiting to see how they will handle this! Went through the car wash (I am a service member) this past sunday, which immediately i regretted, they were having problems with the machine and we were at a standstill for about 15 mins, when they started letting ppl in and i was IN the car wash, i felt the car wash belt, jerk my car back and forth, as if i was stuck. so i immediately turned my car cameras on (i have a 360 camera) i saw the car behind me ran into me, and then a black metal bar (like the tailgate cage from a truck) was stuck in their machine and u can see it turning as the belt tried to keep going! Once i got out of the car wash my passenger side panel on the door was missing my light was dented in, and i have scratches as well as my back bumper scratched and my front bumper cracked. myself as well as two other vehicles that also had damages to their car, grabbed the GM and tried to explain to him that there is another piece in the car wash that is causing this! i explained to him what he should be looking for, he finally found it! i will keep an update on how they proceed with this! So far i've only had had an email confirmation on my filed claim! read more
