I wanted to keep it simple with short nails that were practical for my daily tasks -- typing, writing, etc. With my busy schedule, I was looking for a quick salon that I could drop into, and I happened to stop by this place because they were open. I asked for them to cut my nails as short as possible and apply a nude polish, which they were able to do. The nail technician was very detail-oriented, but there was one nail that needed the polish reapplied at least twice, which ended up taking more time than expected. Overall, I think they did a decent job. However, the nails weren't cut as short as I would have liked, and after about a week, they started growing back a little too long for my comfort. I ended up trimming them down myself at home, but since I went with a basic polish, it wasn't a problem. It was a good experience overall, but I'd appreciate a bit more attention to detail on the length next time.

It was, without question, the roughest waxing experience I've ever had. During the service, Thuy the "cosmetologist" got wax all over my neck and onto my hoodie. Instead of removing the wax from my face promptly, she spent a significant amount of time trying to clean my hoodie, allowing the wax on my face to harden. When I left, I still had wax on my neck and clothing. I'm not someone who usually complains, so I went home. Once I got there, I noticed several marks on my face. Initially, I thought they were burns, so I called the salon. They apologized, told me they would issue a refund, and said a manager would call me back. That call never came. The next day, I returned because I was genuinely worried my face might scar. Instead of showing concern, the receptionist became defensive and told me, "It's not a burn because your face would be red. She ripped the skin off your face." I'm not sure how that was supposed to make the situation better. At that point, I requested a refund for the facial waxing and compensation for my damaged hoodie. They refused to do anything beyond saying they would "look into it." I also asked to see the cosmetology license. After looking up the license number myself, I found it was registered to a barber shop in Frisco, Texas, which raised additional concerns for me. Two weeks later I still have no refund, despite multiple phone calls and repeated promises that someone would "call me back urgently," I have still not received the refund I was promised.

Lastly, I will tell you that my BFF and I got pampered with warm neck wraps, wine, chocolate, and the deluxe pedicure the day before she had to take the Bar Exam (to become an attorney!) and had the best of times feeling pretty and relaxing. When I went to check out, the receptionist took $10 off, which seemed like a drop in the bucket for the rushed, subpar pedi. I was also perplexed because they now run two transactions: one for the service, one for the tip, and the tip has tax added onto it?
