I got bikini waxes here for over 3 years. At first I liked going and I loved how easy it was to schedule appointments online and "stack" services when needed. Most of the ladies who work there were always lovely and very professional. Over time though, the upselling got out of control and I was getting sales pushed on me during EVERY visit. It's obvious that management places a lot of pressure on specialists to make sales and push additional services on clients. The final straw for me was the way the young blonde manager in the front continuously and aggressively tried to convince me to buy their wax pass every single time I went. I had developed a rapport with my waxer by then and was trying to see past the other issues, but started to dread going because I would get so anxious about having to decline so many times. I started to schedule my visits on days I knew she wouldn't be working because it was that bad. And It wasn't just a quick spiel either, I'm talking multiple polite refusals being met with borderline passive aggression and demanding to know WHY when "not today, thank you," should have been enough. I understand promoting products and specials are part of owning a business, but it was way too much. I am actually surprised their reviews are so high since this is a common theme among my friends who go to this location. Like many others, I work hard to treat myself to services like this and it's disappointing to be treated this way. I will not be back and I suggest spending your money elsewhere. read more

I went to this location several months ago. I ended up getting quite a few of what I thought were ingrown hairs. Turned out to be a staph infection. I know the location had just opened so they may have not gotten all the kinks worked out. But after that experience shaving and ingrown hairs will beat a staph infection that is still healing after 2 months of treatment any day. I've been to this location a few times now. Two different times now I've left with burnt skin from the specialist waxing over the same area twice. When I pointed it out to the specialist last time she said my skin wasn't burnt or irritated (even though it clearly was--I'm writing this review three days later and it's still clearly burnt). I went ahead and left three stars because the staff is friendly and the location is clean. I've used EWC for years and never had issues. This is a new location that is close to my house and I have their wax pass so I go for the convenience, however, I don't think I will return at this point. read more
