Authentic! Chili relenos dinner was delicious! Freshly made. Burrito was filled with lettuce, tomatoes, Guacamole, beef, etc. We greatly treated with chips and salsa on top of our to go order. There is seating outside. The feel of a Mexican food truck on steroids.

Super Taco is a super find. Stayed at the Blue Jay Lodge and Super T was a stumbling distance away. Employees behind the counter were great and the price of food excellent. Got a couple tacos that were tasty! Can't wait to return for their burritos! I'll be back!

Asada quesadilla and chips y salsa on the house!

They don't play. Refrescas are in house! That shit was too bomb! Outdoor seating with a great view, as long as they don't build that parking lot across the street. Food came fast, hand delivered to our seats. Always come here when we visit. Best I've had in a long time.

Oh wow.. not bad at all! Friendly people! Will try to accommodate if you have special request. The tacos were packed and juicy! The sides were your norm- radish and grilled onions. There is a covered benches and tables for anyone who would like to sit outside.

Been coming here my whole life, best nachos in the 775. The crunch, the cheese, the salsa, la crema, the beans.... All together make them the best. Small patio for seating but very chill. Quick and friendly family service.

This place is a gem in South Lake. I only found it after searching for tacos on Yelp and I'm so glad I did. This is definitely a spot that's off the beaten path. It's small but packs a lot of flavors. They have a walk up window for you to place your order. The menu is placed outside large enough to see while ordering. They only have an outdoor seating area with about 5-6 tables. It's walkable from all of the hotel/casinos at Stateline. The hours are minimal, only open Monday-Saturday, 10:30am-5pm. This is definitely a spot you come for lunch or stock up on burritos for dinner or a late night snack. They only have street parking, but it didn't seem too difficult to find a spot to park. The Food: We tried the Carne Asada and Al Pastor tacos. They were bigger than your traditional street tacos and filled with the perfect amount of filling: meat, cilantro, onions if you're into that, and avocado. These tacos were fire, fresh tasting, and super flavorful. We loved these tacos! I ordered a side of rice, it was just your usual side of Spanish rice. Not worth the $5. We also ordered chips and salsa, they put the chips at the bottom of the plastic bag with some sides of salsa. Wasn't too excited about how they bagged the chips, because then they just placed all other items ordered, on top of the chips. The chips should have been in their own separate bag. Nonetheless, the chips were tasty and crunchy. They didn't taste like store bought chips. The salsas were okay, a little too spicy and thin to my liking. The prices for the tacos and the burritos seem to be a great value for what you get, but the rest of the menu seems a bit questionable. Prices seem a bit high for a little taco spot. Super Taco is definitely worth hitting up when you're in the area!

Everything tasted incredibly fresh -- especially the tomatoes -- and the guacamole was easily some of the best I've ever eaten. The street tacos were outstanding and about as authentic as you can get. You can tell this isn't your typical tourist-area Mexican restaurant. The ingredients are fresh, the flavors are fantastic, and the food tastes like it was made with real care. One of our favorite meals in Tahoe. We'll definitely be back the next time we're here. Unfortunately, my partner and I left feeling disappointed. The Cons: * We arrived right at opening and were told it would be another 15 minutes before they were ready to open. It wasn't a huge deal, but I do wonder if that contributed to the quality of the food that morning. * I ordered the vegan "chick'n" enchiladas with green sauce. Overall, they were really underwhelming. The green sauce tasted like a basic canned enchilada sauce, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but when the filling also lacks flavor, the whole dish falls flat. * The chick'n had zero flavor. Visually, it looked like it would be packed with flavor, and we even overheard our server tell another table that they marinate the chick'n in-house, which got us excited. Sadly, it just didn't deliver. If you've ever had imitation chick'n from one of the common freezer brands, you'll probably know the flavor I'm talking about. It was bland and had that cardboard-like taste. * We also ordered the vegan super nachos. After they arrived, our server let us know they were out of the vegan sour cream. I wish we had been told before ordering, as that was one of the main reasons we chose the dish. Overall, they were basic and bland. The Pros: * The staff were friendly and welcoming. * The house margarita was really good. If you've ever had the Flybird strawberry margarita, it tasted very similar. * The chips and salsa were delicious. Honestly, my favorite part of the entire meal. * The rice is delicious. Overall, I would consider giving them another try because I appreciate that they offer vegan options. Next time, even though it's something I make at home, I'd probably order the papas and soyrizo instead. I hope our visit was just an off day, because based on the photos, reviews, and being voted "Best in Tahoe" for two years in a row, I had much higher expectations.

This spot also has all the offal meats I tend to love in tacos. For me the tacos were a good size. They look very small and plain when you get them, but we had a huge side of limes, onions, cilantro, etc, which balanced the meats. The fish taco was my least fav. Kinda overcooked. The hubby thought his enchiladas and burrito were okay. Tho the enchilada sauce echoed more of a mole than a red. And the burrito wasn't wrapped very well. Not filled a lot and kinda loose. The overgrown trailer counter service setting feels genuinely authentic, and the menu is extensive. Service is quick if it's empty, but expect a wait when it's busy. I ordered the marinated beef burrito: decent portion, overall good, but fairly bland with pretty dry meat. I ended up relying on multiple rounds of tomatillo hot sauce (also not vary flavorful) to boost the flavor. Orange oil eventually starts dripping out of the tortilla, which I couldn't decide was a positive badge of authenticity or unneeded lubricant for a later trip to the toilet. At around $10 in South Tahoe, it's satisfying and a decent value even when charged for the cup for water. I'd come back (likely try other menu items.) But it's not a 5-star spot unless you're heavily weighting the family-run, trailer-based charm over the food itself. If "authentic" to you means mild flavor and oil dripping, it fits.
