They took my payment details, and I assumed everything was set. But two weeks before the event, I emailed to check on the status. Three days later, they finally replied: They'd had an issue processing my card and simply decided not to follow up, so my order hadn't even been started. On top of that, they never answered their phone, making it impossible to reach anyone. Frustrated, I gave up on them and called Super Thin Ribbons instead. Marcy patiently answered all my questions and helped me place the order right away. A couple of days later, my old CO mentioned that I was entitled to a few additional medals from my Gulf War service (unit citations and the like) that I was didn't know about. I called Marcy back, and she cheerfully added them to my order, then shipped everything the very next day. She was so concerned about getting it to me in time for the ball that when the tracking info stalled a few days later, she immediately offered to remake the set and rush-ship a replacement. Thankfully, it wasn't needed--the carrier located the package the next day and updated the status to show it was in my state. I have ordered from SuperThins before, as well as several updates. I have only had a minor hiccup on the turnaround time on an update. this time, I placed an order on 18OCT and needed to update the order 3 days later. I just got the email that the order was completed and shipped, but the updates were not showing on the order. I called after hours and spoke to Ms. Marcy. She opened the box to verify that everything was good to go and told me that they were on the way to drop them at the post office. Great customer service and a great product as usual. read more

Took about a month before ribbons arrived, emailed to see what was going on and was told your order was shipped (meaning they created a shipping label but never physically shipped the item), made a bad excuse about USPS but realistically we're almost in 2025 when packages are scanned in they update fairly quick on the USPS site. Quality and value wise I would stick with their competitors as the magnet are not as strong and the ribbons are slightly larger then the ones you find on base so it does look a little off. read more

I've used STR for my ribbon racks for years and never had anything but good service but now they appear to be uncooperative in resolving an issue I had with my order. I paid for some updates totaling $43 (incl. S&H). Below is the message traffic so that you can form your own opinion on the situation. I have done business with this company before in the early 2010s, and was satisfied with their service. When it was time to update my rack, why not go back to what you know? However, instead of updating my current rack, I decided to just get a new one. When i went to the website, it still looked exactly the same.. should have been somewhat of a red flag, but hey in the military, if something ain't broke, why fix it. I placed the order, but did not see the charge on my card, so i called them to verify that the order went through. They confirmed it, and not long after my card was charged. I called about a week later, to follow up on shipping status, and i couldn't get a hold of them. When i finally did, i was advised there was a death in the team, and that my order was delayed, but that it'd be shipped the next day. A week later called to get tracking status, no luck. I called several times, nothing. Sent them an e-mail, no response. At this point i got a little curious, and decided to google their reviews, and COVID must have done a number on them, because they're straight out just scamming military members. Most reviews i read, were from customers experiencing the same thing as me. Orders not being shipped, unable to contact customer service, delayed orders ... etc. It's a damn shame cause they were a reputable company at one point, but I'd highly suggest to stay away, and find a different provider. I called my bank and told them i was charged for services not rendered. They started an investigation and were nice enough to issue a credit. This business is a scam. It used to be a reputable business but now it is not. Do not do business with them. I sent my ribbons to be updated before my retirement ceremony and they never sent me the rack back, they charged me twice and they hang up the phone after putting me on hold to check the status of my order. I tried to call again and it appears that they are blocking my call. I am writing a review here and also a claim with the BBB. If you are writing a review here please do the same and report this company with the BBB. If this company is temporarily unable to satisfy orders they should shut down until they get their stuff together. I ordered a ribbon rack and when I recieved it the ribbon order of precedence was wrong. Was pointed out on my official photo. I've contacted the company and asked for a redo 5x (3x via e-mail, 2x via voice message). First contact was 17 Feb. Recieved one note back asking if I could print a return label for the rack they screwed up...said yes, then nothing heard back. Have given up on this company...which is unfortunate, because they had good products for my previous three orders. Their mistake on the rack and subsequent terrible customer service (lack of response and resolution) is unacceptable. Will be lodging a formal complaint with the Witicha Falls BBB and disputing the credit card charge with my company. Ok, so here it goes......I put in a order online to Super Thin Ribbons and followed all the instructions to the letter. With all the bells and whistles, it was about $48 bucks but I needed a rush order so I called like the website asked. So......I talked to Chris and he walked me through my order and confirmed my address(he found my error before I did). We corrected it and looked to make sure it could be shipped to me almost next day. We looked it up and it said 2 days to ship after they completed the order. I NO JOKE HAD THE RIBBONS AT MY DOORSTEP IN 24 HOURS OF THE ORDER BEING PLACED!! It cost a little extra but it was worth it. I will be calling Super Thin Ribbons for the rest of my career. After being in the military for over 21 years. I have to say this is the worst company ever. After placing my order online, with a note to call me they failed to do so. Then I called to clarify the order. $200 later I receive my order with mistakes. I contact them by email and once again no reply, so I call. I tell them the errors and they send me an email on how to fix it myself. I respond to the email and tell them to call and once again no reply. I then start an email chain with the company. I tell them this was for a retirement shadow box and it is time sensitive as stated when I originally ordered the items. I continue to send emails back and forth, stating please send me a new one, I don't have time to ship mine in and wait for them to repair the order, I also didn't want a repaired item considering I bought the item as new! Eventually the owner of the company emails, after going back and forth with her several times and asking her to call me, which she didn't. She eventually tells me she will send me a refund once it is received and it's "not worth it" to give me a new one. I respond to her email and then I keep getting bot emails stating the company has a virus and then their computers have a virus. I then call and tell them I would like to make an order and the representative told me there's a hold on the account that the owner put on it. She asks me if I would you like the owner to call me because she's the one that put the hold on the account and I said yes. You guessed it no phone call back and no email. Do to their unwillingness to work with me, after they made the mistake, the shadow box wasn't ready for the retirement. This company is horrible, with the worst communication I have ever experienced. I've been buying ribbons from Super Thin for over 10 years. I researched through the different sites that offer thin ribbons and found them to be the best. I've sent back racks and medals numerous times and have never had any issues, whatsoever. I've read negative reviews, but they are few and far between. The customer service is helpful and typically gets me my product back in a timely manner. I highly recommend them anytime I come across other service members who do not have thin ribbons. read more

Stay away there are other companies that do the job and have much better customer service. Terrible customer service. I spent over $300 here. I made three orders. The worker was able to get the first two orders correct and a process for ensuring the details were correct. On the third order, Marcie (owner/manager ) took payment in-between my communication with the worker. She was more than happy to take another payment for $70.25. The order was then processed after they were closed for a week incorrectly with them have a detailed e-mail and pictures. I was more than what I should have been for my correct order. Marcie was not willing to admit any mistake on their end and nor try to correct the order with as little inconvenience or damage to my ribbons. I would strongly recommend another company. read more
