It's clean and easy to shop here because it's so well-organized. From the size of it I thought I would find a variety of things but they seem to sell to a niche crowd and the things are limited to awesome clothing (especially vintage dresses and costume type stuff), knick knacks, dishes, music, movies, and jewelry. I didn't find any electronics, furniture, or toys, unless there's some secret room I missed. Prices were appropriate and even surprisingly low on some items. Very disappointing. I was the only customer and no one welcomed or acknowledged me. The merchandise was good but higher prices than expected. When I finally made my way to the register the only employee there disappeared. I waited a few minutes and he never came back. Too bad. I left my items on the counter and left. It feels like they don't value their customers and don't care about making money. The bad country music playing overhead should have been a red flag. Don't bother coming in. This was my first time at Super Thrift. I have heard great things about this store, but I was extremely disappointed. I was looking for a vintage costume dress, and I found the perfect one so I was really excited. Upon wanting to pay for it, the lady at the cash register refused to sell it to me because it was missing a price tag. I asked her if she can please find out how much it was, or to look for a similar style to get an idea of how much to charge me. She refused and said to come back tomorrow. I told her I did not live nearby, had a long drive, and she still rudely refused. The dress was beautiful, and I would have paid it's worth. I've been coming to Super Thrift every couple to a few months for the past 5-6 years. They always have a great selection of vintage clothing and accessories. I usually end up spending at least $100 here, not because it's expensive, but because I find SO many things. The owner Martin is very helpful and nice. He has these incredibly handy '50% off your entire purchase cards' that he hands out once every few large purchases that I make. I was excited to go to this thrift store after reading all of the amazing reviews but ended up disappointed. This place did have a lot of amazing costume pieces but it was more of a vintage store. What I mean by that is it is NOT cheap. Thrift stores are distinctly cheap. For instance, earlier that day I got an amazing vintage sweater from Goodwill for $6, and at other vintage stores you can get stuff like tees for $1 or less. I picked out one top from this store and it was $10. I LOVED the top but I didn't want to pay $10 for it, when I go thrift shopping I want deals that I can't get anywhere else and I get tops for $10 at Old Navy. BUT.. if you are looking for a costume this place is PERFECT. They have really original well-made pieces for all kinds of different costumes. They also have a pretty decent selection of costume jewelry but like I said, it's not cheap. I saw a pretty plain silver bracelet and it was $40... This is a great store! There is a good mix of housewares, books, costumes, clothing, and jewlery at Super Thrift without that weird smell Goodwill can have (you know what I mean). The owner is super-duper helpful, if you have a costume party coming up you can go in and he'll help you put the outfit you want together. Pretty neat. Walked out with an elephant statue, crossword cup+pen (in the original box), wooden salad bowl, small wooden frame, and wonderful afghan for $12. This will be a "usual stop" from now on. read more

This is a combination thrift store and vintage store. He has stuff that is second-hand, used clothing and also stuff that is old and well preserved vintage so you get two stores in one. I didn't see anything that was over-priced, but I do this a lot and I've seen expensive and ridiculously over-priced stuff at lots of locations. I bought some cute ceramic wall pockets that I put up at home. The pair was $22. I thought that was fair, considering they look to be from the 1940s, and there were no chips or cracks in either one, in perfect vintage condition. I also purchased a lovely blouse that looked to be from the 60s and it was $15, and a tiki style sheath dress from the 60s also was priced at $13. Not bad at all. Some of his vintage stuff is labeled "costume" and that was slightly confusing to me, until he (Martin, the owner) explained that he does this for those seeking authentic costumes from that particular era. Very helpful! It's a little far for me, but even so, I will return whenever I'm out that way. read more

Came in just to poke around and get inspired for a Halloween costume. There was a helpful fellow here to help me brainstorm. I really enjoy people that are genuinely helpful, especially when it comes to a difficult decisions. The vintage jewelry here is amazing, i tried not to look because I seriously need to calm down on my old jewelry obsession. Cool hats, and loads of cool stuff for dudes. Some of the clothes are a little over the top, polyester is not a good idea in 100 degree weather...or EVER for that matter. My best friend has been going here since high school. I would say its a great find for vintage in La Habra but I've got to say they started hiking up their prices over the years. Wow. This is one unique thrift store. They have so many vintage items that I have never seen before. I saw a 70's bright yellow dress that was so fabulous it looked like it belonged to Twiggy at one point. I wasn't looking for anything in particular but they do have a good selection. I suggest coming here for costumes, not really regular every day clothes. They also have pieces for rental purposes only. Prices are a little harsh BUT the clothes are very vintage. I'm talking 1930's-1980's vintage. It was like looking through a museum of clothes. The two people who were running the store were very friendly and helpful. The owner, Martin, came around to greet me again to make sure that I was aware that I was welcomed to the store (I must have had sinus problems because I totally missed it the first time). My sister and I were looking very skeptical at the high reviews at first, but goodness, we were blown away! The gentlemen who work there are so patient and helpful. We had the most enlightening 20 minute conversation with the store owner; he's been in the thrift business for more than a decade and told us that the reason for Super Thrift's generic name was to be accessible to all types of customers (aka those looking to buy super cheap clothes and the trendier vintage-seeking crowd. The vintage selection was diverse and prices were very fair. Make sure you don't leave without taking a good look at the jewelry case! I picked up a stunning 1920's rhinestone necklace with higher value and quality than anything you could find at the mall for the same price. We picked up 2 vintage pieces per person but the experience alone was enough to come back again.. we had so much fun picking out the costume pieces and unique nick-nacks. Just go! Yep, I've come off & on to this store for quite a few years now, although it was/had been a great while this last time. I can not believe the owner actually remembered me (yes I was tired from roaming around w/my daughter "tinkering" all day), & sadly it showed, he was so super polite, trying to make friendly conversation & I felt like I was too pooped & being kinda rude :(.........."To that owner, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be, I love your store, just tired & my age/stress is starting to take its toll on me, please be ok w/me, I will definitely keep coming back, we love your store!!!! :) .....I also hear he is there more often, he really takes care of his business & his customers, good going! With that said, yes its got alot of finds, not only vintage, costumes (& good quality, authentic, not those cheapy imitations from Party City & Walmart)....they have some cute choice clothing for both female & males (& men are usually scarce when it comes to finding clothes for them at any thrift/vintage shops)... My first impression of the store was positive. Our disappointment came from the store owner's policy regarding clothes on maniquins. My daughter was interested in a pair of jeans on a mannequin and wanted to see it's size. Before even knowing its size, the owner said he wouldn't undress the mannequin unless we first agreed to purchase it. He told us that he thought it would fit her and unfortunately we trusted his judgment. Sadly, the jeans were enormous on her. Our fault for trusting in him and shame on him for being lazy. I frequent thrift stores & this is my absolute favorite! It is very neatly organized with vintage & modern clothing sections, along with men's vintage & modern, men/women's shoes, purses, books, knick knacks, jewelry, etc. The owner Martin is very friendly & nice. I usually go to browse & he gives me all the space I want to look around. I've seen other customers come in looking for very specific type of items & he will gladly show them where those items are. I don't wear vintage so I can't comment on the vintage prices (although I've come across some of them & my eyes bulged out at the price LOL). Their modern clothing is inexpensive & are in great condition. No stinky "thrift store" odor when you walk in either. It has a really cool vintage vibe. read more

VINTAGE HEAVEN! Martin has the GREATEST VINTAGE thrift shop I have even been to. Super prices. Super clean and in categories. Great place to buy or rent fantastic real costumes. I used to live about 6 miles from this place and my friend and I would LOVE to come here because it was very affordable and the items were unique. Now, I can walk here and fast forward about 5 years and unfortunately, it is like most thrift stores in that it thinks it is EBAY. If you want a cool costume or to rent a costume, this is your place! However, they are highly overpriced on anything vintage, which is sad. Goodwill and other thrift stores, as well as Ebay are making it impossible to own really cool vintage items, such as pyrex and lane furniture, that used to be affordable just 5 years ago. I totally understand people gotta make a buck... but geez. Anyway, I still go here once in a great while because I love the hunt... but I definitely dont come for the price (any thrift store really). read more
