Man, I had to check out this place when we were walking down Melrose Avenue. I was due for new fight equipment for my workouts in my backyard at home. I usually go to the UFC stores, but they only have very limited fight products. But anyway, Superare Fight Goods are awesome. Lots of cool Muay Thai shorts, and boxing gloves. This is a rare store. There are only 2 locations and originated in New York and one in Los Angeles Downtown. Awesome store to find gears for boxing, MMA and Ju Jitsu. Store itself is super clean and well organized and maintained. Thank you Jesse who assisted us while we're here shopping. Customer service is ridiculously great, from answering questions about the products and merchandise they offer. My spouse scored 2 shirts from this trip. Clothing, gears, you'll find them here. Called beforehand to ask if they had my glove weight in stock in their low price gloves. I was told they did so I took my bus to the store just for the guy to tell me somebody had come in and bought the last pair. Had he told me there was only one pair left I would have asked to put them on hold since I'm a commuter and was on the way. Tried to save the loss with a purchase of the knockoff hello kitty handwraps but the quality is not consistent at all and the print is messed up and stained as soon as I unrolled my new hand tapes. Best fight store in all the land. It can be super intimidating to go into a fight shop if you've never been, and Superare was basically designed to eliminate that anxiety. Everyone on staff is incredibly nice and incredibly knowledgeable about fighting gear, and have been great at helping me get the right gear as a beginner without overspending on things I don't need yet. Dylan, Eskoe, Alex, Jesse all fight around LA, so even if you don't know what you need, there's a good chance they know your coach / gym, and can get you set up. Love that they are not at all pushy about their own gear, but also they really should be because their gloves are amaaaaaaaaaaaazing and insanely affordable. Trust me, if you're a new boxer, you won't regret paying the extra $20 for Superare gloves, instead of the crappy plastic mass-produced ones at Walmart and the like. Like that the store had clear COVID safety protocols to limit # of people inside at once and required disinfecting of hands as soon as you walk in since one of the biggest benefits of going to a fight goods store in person is to be able to try on gear. Good selection of quality gear from other brands as well as their own bespoke brand. They had sub-$100 gloves up to top end Winnings. I found the prices were comparable to online retailers for the same products, and it was much nicer to be able to see them in person and try them on vs ordering online and hoping they would fit me. (Note: I specified quality gear as they don't carry the super mass produced bargain fitness gloves....if that's what you're looking for, stick to Walmart or target and good luck not having your hands get destroyed while you train.) They also have a cool selection of collaboration clothing if you're looking for something a little more unique. Staff is friendly and helpful; I've interacted with Alex and Jesse. They are both knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and allowed me to try as many pairs of gloves and diff weights as I wanted while helping advise me on gloves to consider based on my needs and budget range. You won't get the vibe Superare has at any other fight shop, which are notoriously utilitarian and uninspiring. Dylan, the owner, has a background in high-end luxury retail, which is reflected in the store's well-curated inventory and strategic visual merchandising. From the seemingly endless rows of rainbow-colored gloves to the wall of unique graphic tees (most of which are designed in-house) to the constant fight footage projected on the wall, the place can fuel a kid-in-a-candy-store response in anyone, whether you're a seasoned MMA practitioner or random passerby. They really stress transparency and competitive pricing; after shopping around, I've found many of their products carry little to no markup. It's also nice to be guaranteed what you're buying is legit, and to be able to walk right out of the store with it and not be waiting weeks on end for international shipping. Their in-house brand of gear (gloves, shin guards, shorts, etc) are all also super high quality and used by big-time fighters, celebrities, and beyond. I've gotten pretty much all of my Muay Thai gear here, including limited edition Fairtex gloves, Hayabusa shorts, wraps, etc. It's hard to stop yourself from coming back and constantly buying more; they keep stocking new stuff and exclusive collabs and it's annoying. I've gotten to know the staff there well (hi Kenji, Julian, Gene, Dylan) and they're all friendly, well-versed, skilled fighters themselves. Got a pair of supergel V boxing gloves from Superare last year, they're really cool and great for boxing. But I don't recommend if you use them a lot, mine started ripping on the outside just 2-3 months after I bought them, and I take good care of them. That's never happened with any of my other boxing gloves, although with those they ripped on the inside, whereas the Superare ones only ripped on the outside. read more

This is hands down one of the best fight shops in Los Angeles when it comes to fight apparel and gloves. I waited a while before giving an honest review. It's not only about the quality of the service, but also the gear these guys sell. I walked into the store on Melrose after weighing my options of buying gloves online vs buying in person. I wanted to try them on first, so there I was. These guys let me walk around the store with a couple of different parts of Cletos so I can get a good feel feel of the ones that speak to me. Lol I am a bit superstitious, so once I found my pair, I realized that the serial numbers on the gloves have my lucky numbers. So double win! So, the pair I settled on were black 16oz lace-ups that were just right! Now they are nicely broken in... perfect training gloves. Great for gym work as well as for sparring (break them in before you spar though). I've been using them roughly 5 times a week in my gym, and I love them. So to sum up, I cannot recommend this shop more! The guys working there are awesome! The gear they sell is awesome! And there is so much other gear to drool over too! The prices? If you order online from reputable sources, with shipping it comes out about the same as buying from these guys. But you get to try out the stuff first. A+++++++ read more
