I am reviewing Tiffany Allen, Hair Stylist, from Studio 9, in Des Moines, Iowa. If I could give a zero, I would. Here is why. My daughter got married a month ago at a destination resort. I had an updo for the wedding that I loved. I wanted to duplicate the same style for the reception in Des Moines, Iowa this past weekend. I visited with Tiffany Allen from Studio 9, in Des Moines, multiple times. I sent her my picture I wanted to duplicate. She said she could do it. I asked her if she was confident in this updo style, to which her response was "yes". On the day of the reception, we discussed the style with the picture again. Once again, I asked her if she was confident, to which she replied, "yes". Midway through the appointment, I thought to myself that it wasn't looking like the first time. I showed her the picture again and asked for a few adjustments. She still was unable to make the changes. At this point, I knew I was in trouble. I really do not feel like I need to explain any more. I think the pictures will speak for them selves. I will share the picture I modeled my request off of as well as the picture of my first updo for the wedding out of the country, and then my updo I received from Tiffany Allen, Studio 9. I would also like to add, I told her I wasn't happy about her services to give her a chance to apologize. She did not. I asked for a partial refund, and she did not respond. I came here for my high school prom several years ago, and I was pleased with how they curled my hair. Staff are personable, friendly, and attentive to your desires. Pricing is good. A haircut can average to be about 13 bucks. I got my hair styled for about $25 for a formal event. I highly recommend this local salon!

He was very nice and courteous and apologized for the wait. I was only getting a trim, and it somehow took another two hours before I could pay and leave. The customer after me came in and he was trying to do us both at the same time since he was so far behind. I don't mind waiting, usually, and like I said, he was a very nice guy and he did a good job with the haircut, but I was there the whole afternoon when it shouldn't have taken more than an hour at most. All of the employees who were there seemed competent and well-trained, I just felt there was a lack of professionalism.
