I got my hair cut by a woman I believe was named Christine. She has purple hair and a Medusa piercing. She was awful. She quite literally was hitting my face and head with her comb, she also scratched my face multiple times with her nails, comb, and scissor!! On top of this, she snagged my earrings harshly multiple times causing them to literally come undone. When I left, my earrings were irritated and sore from the amount of times she snagged them, I also literally had scratch marks on the side of my face. She was also just incredibly rude! She was snippy and aggressive when she spoke, and she washed my hair which literally took less than 30 seconds. The whole time she was pulling my hair and scratching me. PLEASE AVOID!! read more

I disagree with the poor reviews of this place. I went in on a midweek afternoon and learned that if you check in online, you can usually get a same day appointment. I booked the last available appointment of the day and returned a couple of minutes before my haircut time. I waited under 10 minutes and the hairstylist, Maria, was super patient and kind. It was the end of the day and nearly time to close but she never made me feel like she was in a hurry or a rush. I appreciated the time she took to make sure that my hair trim was too my liking. I would visit here again if I am needing a basic hair trim. No, it's not a fancy beauty salon but because it's just a basic salon, the prices don't break the bank. It's efficient and the hairstylist listened to what I wanted done. Good customer service seems harder to come by in a post-pandemic world so I can appreciate that there's still people out there willing to take time to make sure customers are happy. read more

This is about Stylist Christine. My husband and son have a membership and come every other week for a haircut. We used the kiosk and summited an appointment but the system glitched and did not book the appointment for my son. I've over heard that this has happened to other customers as well and instead of helping us get my son booked she made him wait behind everyone else when my husband's haircut only took 5 mins. We waited an hour before my son got his haircut. Christine was extremely rude to us in front of all customers and when she was cutting my husbands hair she started to show signs of irritation and aggression; she even dropped the comb and kicked it across the building. This type of behavior is absolutely unprofessional and uncalled for especially in front of a 10 year child. No one deserves to be treated like this. We made an appointment online for my 10 years old son and this stylist I didn't get her name she is wearing glasses and a very sully, unfriendly the world is against me expression, I can tell already that she is not having a good day because she called my son's name and I did not hear it so another customer thought he heard his name so he went to the seat where she is and was about to seat when she rudely told that guy is your name's (my son's name) and mumbled something to the other stylist so the guy got embarrased so he just sat back down. So my son went to the chair and I showed her the cut he wants she said she doesn't do designs like that so I compromised atleast cut it that way without the design she said its a zero and bald but the hairstyle is not bald so I told a 1 then she said that 's bald too well my son doesn't want a bald cut so a number 2 instead she was very rude while saying this and I am that type of person that does not get offended much but her attitude is offensive and she added why did you choose a bald cut ? When in my opinion it is not bald at all. My son was looking at me all the time while she was cutting his hair and he looked so unhappy. After the cut I paid for the service and just went out to our car my son said she was aggressive and mean to him. I told him that we would not go back to that shop again. I mean being a hairstylist she should know more than one haircut I just got the feeling she doesn't want to do anything extra for us. We left the shop unhappy and also dissapointed with the stylist's attitude towards the shops clients. She was very rude, unprofessional and not welcoming at all. The haircut was just ok but my son doesn't like it but the whole experience was very dissapointing. So for those who wants a good experience and a haircut then DO NOT GO HERE. We made an appointment for my son (4 yrs old) and arrived 15 minutes before the appointment time only to find out this place still gets busy during the week so it didn't matter that we arrived early but that's not the reason why we are leaving a one star review. When we arrived, another man happened to walk in behind us and one of the stylists completely ignored us and greeted him by name. She checked him in before us and didn't even acknowledge the fact that we were standing right there. Another stylist (Asian with tattoos) walked up to the counter and checked us in but now we had another person to wait behind. That should have been my clue to walk out but my son really needed a haircut. After waiting, and I didn't not mention I also had my baby with me (who was getting very antsy), my son got to get his haircut. The stylist who took him in seemed to be very harsh and unfriendly. He didn't look comfortable with her and he also complained when she was done and put the hot towel on him. He said it burned him and she continued to dab him with it. I think it should be necessary for stylists to take a child development course, or at least have common sense, if they want to work on children. We won't be coming back to this location. read more

Went in today by appointment and had my hair cut by Maria. She appeared distracted, and left me mid-cut several times to wait on people at the front desk (she was not the only employee in the salon) and cut most of my hair dry. Although I showed her 3 photos of the same hairstyle, and explained to her I wanted a layered pixie cut, long bangs, and hair hiding my ears, what I ended up with was something quite different. She appeared not to have been listening to me. Instead of layering the short cut, she chopped the hair, giving it a very uneven, messy look. Bangs were short, she didn't bother to layer the hair on top, and cut the hair on the side super short. The whole "cut" was so bad, it will be awhile before I'll be able to have another stylist fix it; even my husband said he felt bad for me. I made a major mistake by trusting Super Cuts at 2195 Shaw Avenue in Clovis. Avoid this salon, as the stylists don't listen to customers. If you have good eyesight and can see what they're doing before damage has been done, you might be able to save yourself. Otherwise, look elsewhere. Never again. Super, they are not. Can anyone recommend a good hat store? How in the world does a stylist manage to get the back of your hair cut crooked and lumpy?! read more

This place should close and be reopened under a new owner. My wife called to make an appointment. The attendant said 5:30 pm. I arrived at least 15 minutes prior to my appointment. They didn't even have my name in their system. The attendant -- one of the stylist -- admitted to taking the call. I told them I was paying a membership. And then they just ignored me for 40+ minutes. Walk-in customers arrived -- more than 3 -- and were given priority over me. I just left! Awful place!! Please, take your business somewhere else... It was an absolutely horrific experience. The stylist was harsh, insensitive and made him feel uncomfortable. She repeatedly pushed his head down aggressively and complained that "she wouldn't have to do that if he would listen". My son was on the verge of tears and was feeling embarrassed. My wife did her best to maintain her composure and not make a scene. We will be contacting Super Cuts Corporate and filing a formal complaint. I've been using Supercuts for over 30 years now. I've never had a single complaint, but today's experience was a whole different story. I was a walk-in customer, got my name on the board. Other customers showed up and had "called in" their name. 40 minutes later, 3 other customers showed up and had "online reservations". I have been coming to this Supercuts for years. The person that I get a haircut is Jeanette. I have been a client of her's for over 7 years. I trust her to cut my hair and even do my eye brows and keep them from growing wild. I have followed Jeanette from a different company that she was previously at. It is hard to find a stylist who is consistent and also someone you can trust. She is super friendly and goes the extra mile to ensure that you are happy with the service. So to say you hate Supercuts, is not doing anyone justice because it's the people who work for the company that makes the company run properly. I've had pretty good luck here getting consistent haircuts. The last few times I've seen Channa Chan and my haircuts have turned out exactly the way I like them. The staff here has always been friendly. My kids also like coming here as well. I came out with bangs that go straight across my forehead. I guess my description was poor. All I said at the end was, "I don't like them, but they will grow out in a month." and the girl proceeded to cry. There was nothing to be done to salvage these too short, straight-across bangs. Definitely won't be coming back here. The first time i came here, I loved my haircut. The only thing i didn't like is that the person cutting my hair talked way too much and ended up getting distracted and left me with hair up to my shoulders lol but it didn't bother me too much. The second time, the lady must have been in a horrible mood (i think she was pregnant) and was incredibly rude and yanked on my hair so much. I decided to give this place a third last chance and I will never be going back. She was in a rush and honestly it just seemed like she was trying to finish as fast as possible. She was also very rough and it honestly felt like she was trying to rip my hair out. Some of the tugs made me flinch and my eyes water. If she had been more careful and TAKEN HER TIME, she wouldn't have been so rough. I have never had a person cut my hair like that. And then she didn't even listen to what i wanted for my hair and basically fought with me when i told her that's not what i had in mind and if she could fix it so I left. I'm assuming cutting layers into hair is a pretty standard haircut and i have never had problems with it at other places but I guess it wasn't happening today.
